Carson won the third RB spot in camp, but lost it due to lack of draft status. Williams cost us a pick and on top of that, is very talented and has more upside if he can get his pass blocking down. All the reports that I heard this week were that the team is still concerned about his ability to block.

In the end, Carson showed yesterday exactly what he did in the preseason when playing with the #1 unit. He grinds out yards and can protect Rodgers. I have no problem letting Williams marinate on the bench while he learns how to effectively keep Rodgers upright.
It looked like to me anyway, he had a lot to learn and seemed rather immature. Thought his talent was enough to get him on the field. If you can’t do the little things, you’re not going to make it long in the NFL

That was an inexcusably awful under thrown ball by Aaron Rodgers. That HAS to be 6 points. No excuse for that bad of an under throw. None.
If it’s the one I’m thinking of? On replaying the game there was Safety help coming over the top and had he overthrown it.. it was likely an INT. Interestingly, I also didn’t see the deep Defender coming across live until I replayed it. There was a Defender Shallow and Deep.

Now there was a play made to MVS where Gmo had an opportunity on a deep crossing route to score. But sometimes in live action you don’t get the same Birdseye that we saw either.

Just something I’d to offer. When your winning by multiple scores, many times you don’t want to let the opposition back in the game. Simply throwing an INT second half could’ve easily put them back in the game. The end justifies the means.

I’m talking about the play that was snapped with 5:15 left in the 3rd. Yes, there was a shallow defender that took MVS, but he got beat badly. The over the top help was towards the middle of the field, MVS was running toward the sideline away from the help. Watching it again confirmed what I already thought from before, there was no way he’d be a factor on the play. He wasn’t within 10 yards of the ball.

If Rodgers leads him properly, it’s easily 6 points. Luckily, we ended up getting 6 on the same drive anyway due to the PI call, but that’s a throw that Rodgers has to make.

Those are the plays where the receiver has to reach over the defenders back. The current healthy crop is allowing their arms to get pinned. Jordy made his living on that. That is what is missing.

I don’t have faith in MVS or GMO to be huge factors at all without Adams. I definitely don’t have faith in LaFleur to come up with a good game plan as he has shown me very little as a playcaller....especially in the 2nd half of games where the guy hasn’t adjusted to really anything at all. It’s literally like watching A McCarthy Offense all over again smh.

If they are smart they will use double tightends and run the ball. You can Also run playaction out of that set. Stop trying to feature Jimmy Graham! This dude is pretty much worthless outside the 10 yd line. They need to only bring him in then. He can’t block, he can’t separate, and he’s a liability in the run game. He does absolutely nothing great. I’d like to see Tonyan featured in this game.

Unless Rodgers goes crazy I can’t see us winning this game at all. I mean crazy to the tune of 400 yds passing and 4 TDS which I don’t see at all with this group of WRs.
Another perfect forsee into the future

Oh yeah my bad. I was talking about one up the seem.
That one there was a for sure TD if in stride. Yeah. Although we proved a point I made before the game that one benefit in the long ball is PI calls.

#12 had another one similar where he took the receiver underneath but 5 yards further going the other way he had the big play. Again I know it’s not always that easy and I respect that. Rodgers is going to hit those more often than not. But what I will ad is we left quite a few plays out there. That said, there’s verified potential if we get things cleaned up. It also showed our willingness to open up the longer stuff, which when you have MVS is a must do.

What are they gloating about? That their team choked big time, spent almost $100M more on its players than the Brewers did and they still finished behind the Brewers, didn't win the division or make the playoffs? I welcome those kind of gloaters! :D

Cubs fans were gloating "Brewers played one more game than the Cubs did".

Meh.....no matter. Let's all just bask in the glory of a victory over the loathsome Cowboys on their home field.

I was just absolutely giddy when the Pack was up 31-3. My friends from Minnesota were texting me in disbelief.

Yeah, so, the Pack very nearly blew it at the end. The fact of the matter is that they ran up an insurmountable lead.

I've been watching Packer games since 1963 (that I can remember) and there were really darn few that brought me so much joy.

ONWARD.......to wallop Detroit on MNF.

LOL....With that kind of thinking, I guess Tiger fans had every right to gloat too. I mean they also played one less game than the Brewers as they finished the season at 47-114.

Those are some real bragging rights those Cub fans are clinging to! :roflmao:

I don't think they nearly blew it at the end. They had to get the FG and then get an onside kick late in the 4th just to tie the game. From what I can gather teams are having a difficult time recovering onside kicks this year.

I have always enjoyed winning as the road underdog. Any win is nice, but when you are the favorite, you are kind of expecting the win and if they happen to lose, then it feels even worse.

One of my fondest memories was the Falcon Divisional Playoff game in 2010 at Atlanta. We went in there with hardly anyone giving us a chance against the #1 Seed Falcons. It's funny, I remember the game now, as one we blew out the Falcons, but when you watch these highlights, it wasn't until Tramon's pick six at the end of the first half, that the Packers started to take control.

If the Packers would have blown that game, it would have been on a par with that game they blew against Seattle. Except that it wasn't the NFC Championship Game.

Didn't realize Jones ran all hos TDs via holes by Jenkins. Wow!
Jenkins seems to be a really good run blocker. His pass blocking is decent and hopefully will improve as he learns from his buddies to the left and right. If only the rest of the guys could run block like him!

Loved that game. I was chatting on an NFL forum at the time arguing with some of our upcoming opponents’ fans (coincidentally that Navy girl in here (PackerLover?) was one of my online buddies there, but with a different name).

Many didn’t realize that our strength of schedule (Chicago twice etc..) was near the toughest in the league, our PF vs PA was stellar and our Takeaway ratio was one of the best in the league. We lost 6 games by a total combined 20 pts and never by more than 4 pts.
There was this one annoying Atlanta fan that discounted those factors and claimed we were doomed. We smoked them like a Chich n Chong Doobie. WOWWWW MAN!

He plays and moves effortlessly for a big man (Bulaga size) like he’s an established veteran. Hes already very good and only going to get better with time.

First of all, it's Cheech man....!

That season we had the #2 scoring defense if I remember, pretty much in a dead heat with the Steelers defense. We also had a crazy number of players on IR - about 13 or 14 - with quite a few being starters. That season was a struggle just to get to the playoffs. I think that the 2009 playoff loss to the Cardinals set the tone for 2010. Rodgers came into his own that season and especially that game, and was poised to push for greatness. That Falcons game proved it.

I will respect the "family nature" of our forum, so I won't post it here. One of my favorite Cheech and Chong bits is T.W.A.T. (Tactical Women's Alert Team).

Had to go listen to it again on YouTube.....still cracking up. Some humor never gets old.
