According to everyone Cobb was washed up and we were better off without him.

I don't know about "everyone," but according to most, Cobb was unreliable and an inconsistent factor because he was constantly getting hurt or trying to play hurt.

Let this be known that should we win, every person that predicted The Packers to lose will be on my dud list. Feel free to put me on your mega dud if I'm wrong. XD

You made a good point about the Bears offense vs. a high powered offense. I think we all have an idea of what the Bears want to do on both sides of the ball. No one really knows what the Packers have on either side of the ball. But on paper, the defensive front SHOULD be solid, even the DBs SHOULD be solid. Rodgers at the helm, new offense, extra year on some of the offensive toys.

Even Vegas only has the Bears as 3pt favorite at home. Isn't that basically a pick em' on a neutral field? For a team that went 12-4 last year vs. a 6-9-1 team...that is a little telling what the oddmakers think.

They are begging people to take the Bears... kind of interesting.

At this point I think there are too many unknowns to get a real handle on this game. We don't know what the Bears defense will be like. They didn't play much in preseason. The only clues are what Pagano has done in the past.

We don't really know what our offense will look like be like because they didn't play at all in preseason.

I don't see us striking right away but I am hopeful that if the offense can get in some kind of rhythm by keeping Rodgers upright and he doesn't try to do his own thing too much, then I think we can pull out a win. The other provision is if the defense picks up and is improved from last year.

Fingers and toes crossed.

Sorry guys, but I am a little sceptic of our chances here.

The MLF offense still has to gel together, while Rodgers still has to build up his chemistry with pass catchers not named Adams. Furthermore, Aaron Jones might not be at full strength.

I too am optimistic of our D, and they will keep us in a close game. But in the end, at Soldier Field, I am giving it to the Bears, 20-24.

EDIT: (Which might end up being a blessing in disguise)

o ye of little faith! you forgot to add the 1 in 20. 21-3! go pack go! i'm telling you...ironically the packs will have a 1985 bears D. just don't ask me how I know. just call it faith!

hey....you can't win them all. btw...do you think the most players play ps4 or xbox?
Dude I'm the wrong person to ask that kind of question. The last thing I own in regards to playstation or xbox is my PS2. XD

And besides I use a Switch! XD

Just throw it at Ha-Ha!

I don't want to over-estimate the value of this particular matchup. However, you know LaFleur, Rodgers, etc. are looking to expoit a Bears' weakness. Biggest weakness they have on defense is probably Ha-Ha, right?

Unfortunately it is going be ugly as the offense will not even be remotely ready. I really, really hope I am wrong but I doubt it.

I agree with y’all that the Defense needs to come out and own this game.

If I’m the D Captain I’m setting the tone here and now.. play aggressive, but smart ball.
Don’t give their Offense any help. Make them earn every snap. No fouls.
Our D needs to play with a chip on their shoulder and get after it.
Don’t wait for the Offense. Defenses score points too.

Haha, Skrine, and Amukamara are their most vulnerable, yes.

I cannot wait to see Rodgers and his WRs/TEs/RBs light up Ha-Ha. Oh, man, this is gonna be beautiful. I already see Danny Vitale running through him on an outlet pass in my minds eye.

This will be a high scoring game, for the Packers.... Green Bay is going to LIGHT THEM UP! We will be seeing a gigantic fireball glow in the southern horizon tomorrow night.

Its going to be like Christmas in September, with Friday kind of like Boxing Day, where you work off your hangover with a bunch of great leftovers, listening to Chicago sports radio...

Do you feel the joy? DO YOU FEEL THE POWER???!!!!!

I really don't have a handle on this game yet. I could see it's looking pretty good in winning a close one. I could see us getting blown out. The key will be how much on the same page is everybody.

Two key factors to watch in this game: Reduce turnovers and eliminate drawing flags on stupid mistakes.

First big national televised game of the season, first big game for MLF and his staff.

Let's get'er done -------------GO PACK!

I’m mostly in agreement about being reserved. We haven’t gotten a good look at our O. But the only thing I’ll add is I’m not impressed with the Bears offseason moves. They do not have a known quantity at RB after losing Jordan Howard this offseason. While we have our own concerns, they have no proven known quantity at RB. They’ll rely on Mike Davis until Montgomery gets going. That’s a step back.
They also regressed at S and we as Packer fans know this for a fact. HaHa is average on a good day. Amos can be a game changer on a good day.

They did pick up Patterson on ST, but this is a small concession, as he had not been a big part of the Offense in recent years. JK Scott hang-time will diminish their return game. I don’t like we lost Crawford, Burks and EQ on ST tho.

They will rely on their D heavily to win this game. If we get any sort of groove they are going to be in trouble. Packers need 24 points to win this game.

Oren Burks (chest) and Darrius Shepherd (hamstring) have been ruled out for tomorrow night. Ka'dar Hollman (neck) is listed as questionable after limited participation in practice all week.
