I loved the 12-14 in Willis' game. (I don't think Aaron even ever completed 86% of his passes in a game) I liked the 1 TD (Would've liked 2-3 more, but I'll take it) We need to work on improving the 122 yards.

Over 80% a TON OF TIMES...which given his number of attempts is far more impressive than 12 of 14.

Rodgers did it 16 times on these dates :

10/9/2005 vs New Orleans 1 of 1 - 100% (not full game)
11/11/2007 vs Minnesota 2 of 2 - 100% (not full game)
9/8/2008 vs Minnesota 18 of 22 - 82%
1/3/2010 vs Arizona 21 of 26 - 80%
1/15/2010 vs Atlanta 31 of 36 - 86%(playoffs)
10/23/2011 vs Minnesota 24 of 30 - 80%
11/6/2011 vs San Diego 21 of 26 - 80%
10/21/2012 vs St. Louis 30 of 37 - 81%
9/15/2013 vs Washington 34 of 42 - 81%
10/27/2013 vs Minnesota 24 of 29 - 83%
10/19/2014 vs Carolina 19 of 22 - 86%
10/20/2019 vs Oakland 25 of 31 - 81%
10/5/2020 vs Atlanta 27 of 33 - 82%
11/5/2020 vs San Fran 25 of 31 - 81%
12/27/2020 vs Tennessee 21 of 25 - 84%
9/20/2021 vs Detroit 22 of 27 - 81%

1/19/2020 vs San Fran 31 of 39 rounds to 80% but technically under.

We don't count 1 for 1s. He only hit the 85.7% or higher mark that Willis hit once...and Willis did it in his 1st start for the Packers.

I think that when Love comes back the Packers should consider using Willis as a Wild Cat. Saints have done it. Philly did it with Vick before he got the job. Just an option. Keep him in the offense.
If there is a way he can make the offense better after JL is back, I'm sure MLF will find it.

Titans probably thinking they traded the wrong QB.
We absolutely Stole Malik.

Seems to me he’s in that 3rd season, where many players both QB and non-QB alike rise. Then Willis has possibly got one of (if not THE) best QB environments in the league. Clements is a genius and once Malik spends a season here we are going to be set until 2026. Not to mention Malik’s stock just hit pay dirt. Teams Love QB’s coming through GB just to start.

I can still remember when my main contact texted me after meeting Malik for the first time. They said one word initially when I asked what they thought - "Mature"

It was then followed up with - "He's the type of young man as a father you pray you can put forth into the world."

If you hear him in interviews it is clear what my contact meant...the humility he exhibits is everywhere but it doesn't come across as a lack of confidence either - his perspective on things is years ahead of where he is chronologically.

I pray for his sake he keeps running with what chances he is given here because I'd love to see him get a redemption chance to be THE starter for a team somewhere again...but if NOT I'll gladly embrace this type of QB2 in GB for the next eight years or so.

I take offense to that sir.

It's very interesting. I really didn't see us winning a game with Willis. I definitely stated that. There were also others that were angry over Gute's handling on the backup QB position. While I didn't think we would win with this guy I did state that he addressed it the best he could. Drafted a couple guys that didn't work out and then traded for a guy. Maybe we didn't like the way he handled the backup QB position, but it seems to have worked out.

It's crazy that Tennessee did not see that Malik had matured. Looks like they tried him out as a rookie and then never gave him another chance. Their fans, I guess, thought the same. He has speed, strength and arm. I think he only needed the maturity. Got it but never got another chance. What a great pick up! I assume we have him for another year. If we somehow give him more chances; he might really get a high pick for us. Don't know how to do that though. Don't know what you pay a backup these days. Don't know if he'd accept it. Still, very nice to have him for another year.

Good news is we have him under wraps if we want for one season after this one. BUT for sure if he is needed another week or a couple at any point and keeps winning, there are a lot of teams out there that would consider a cheap one year rookie contract dice roll next season in exchange for a draft pick...maybe even a top 100 one if he truly did lay down more solid games.

I'm thinking he is worth more to us for next year than a top 100.

That I'll trust in Gute.

There is for sure a lot of value saying, let's keep him - and get whatever compensatory pick we'd get in 2027 draft after losing him after 2025....

BUT there is also something to be said about adding top 100 picks NOW in 2025 draft to push hard while a ton of your weapons are young...

This I suspect would be answered more by Gute and his scouting departments' thoughts not only of the QB prospects coming out but also the set to be free agent guys that have been back ups...
