No surprise, Adrian Peterson was just cut. Bring on the GreenBaySlacker!

I really do hope 87 hangs it up. He's had a heckuva career and seems to have relative health. I doubt he owns a bunch of tigers and helicopters so I assume he is set up financially for generations to come. I would love to see him back at a lowered number and I pray he doesn't end up in NE or something. I wouldn't root against him but I wouldn't be rooting for him if you know what I mean. Now let's go lock up MoWilk and get a corner...

Gute keeps Cobb over Jordy.
Donte Moncrief signs with the Jaguars.

Can't we have ONE GM who doesn't have **** for brains?

While I would have preferred Jordy over Cobb, this probably makes more sense for a few reasons.
  1. Jordy may have informed the Packers he is close to being done or they sensed he was waffling on retirement.
  2. Cobb is the much younger guy and possibly a guy who could more easily play up to his contract numbers, as well as be around longer than one year.
  3. Packers saved a little bit more money releasing Jordy over Cobb

Quit being logical, PB. There's no room around here for that. ;)

Butler to Titans

Didn't want him. Overrated player.

Edit: Five-year, $61M deal with $30M guaranteed holy ****. We're gonna have to pay similar numbers for Tru Johnson, who we need badly.

Here's an argument for Nelson, in 2016 Jordy Nelson playing one year removed from his ACL tear produced a year that statistically speaking was comparable to the best season of Randall Cobb's career. Nelson struggled last year, Cobb has in spite of playing with Aaron Rodgers been a pedestrian receiver since 2014. I wager Nelson would have bounced back strong with Rodgers under center whereas we know what Cobb will produce with Aaron and it's not good enough.

Folks I'm not sure Graham upgrades the offense, the dude doesn't block and won't give us the run pass balance that a lot of us want.

another one gone. Packers need to get moving on the cb front!

Im starting to hope its not Johnson, he'd be a good fit with the right free safety. Trumaine isnt too fast and when receivers get by him he aint catching them. Combine his 4.61 40 with a free safety who constantly jumps the first underneath route he sees and well yeah it could turn into an unhappy marriage.

I would’ve liked Patrick Robinson’s price tags even if we got another Corner to pair with him. But looks like the Eagles are attempting to keep him.

If we had a GM who signs every FA, resigns all our stud FAs, and every draft pick is a HOF player, people would still find something to ***** about.

Everything I have read about Paxton Lynch, the Broncos have all but given up on the guy. Case Keenum was a guy that almost got the hook a few times in Minnesota last year, because he really isn't great. I won't discount that he could improve, but I think the Vikings letting him walk kind of tells you how they feel about that. Somewhere I read a perfect quote about Keenum, it was something like "He was given the keys to the families Ferrari and did everything he could just not to crash it".

You could say the same thing about Cousins. 2 years franchised and still the Redskins didn't see enough in him to lock him up long term. When the team invests that much for two years service and still isn't convinced he is the guy it sends up red flags to me.

cousins may be better than Keenum, but I doubt he will have a better year than the career year Keenum just had. I don't care at all they signed him, and I'm kind of glad they tied all that money up in him. They were going to be tough, and it hinges on their defense. Cousins or not. If they stay healthy there again, they'll be tough to beat. If they don't, they become like all the rest of us when their strengths go down with injury.

That's an excellent way to put it. The question then becomes would it have been better to keep Keenum for 10 million less and hope for a repeat performance which was a big risk.

Sounds like Sam Bradford is off to AZ for a cool $20M one year deal.

So AZ is still in the market for their franchise guy but maybe not enough now to trade up past us. Will they sit tight and grab Lamar Jackson who will likely need a year (hence the 1 year Bradford signing) to develop.

Feels much like the same move we made in 2016 with Cook and again in 2017 with Bennett. Let's hope 2 out of 3 aint bad.....*insert Meatloaf music*

I think Graham is much better than Cook was and even better than Bennett. IMO the only downside to this may be his salary. I think he will be very productive for us. He could be a top 5 TE if he is used properly. Of course I thought that about Bennett and even Cook so what do I know. I still think Graham is better. Maybe not what he once was but better.

There goes Trumaine Johnson.

We're in trouble at the CB position. Big time.

Can we at least wait until after FA and the draft before we freak out?

Is that too much to ask for?
I'm just curious to see what the plan is. Kevin King and a draft pick as our #1 and #2 CB going into next year?

Maybe some free agent scraps thrown in too? Ugh.

I think we can get at least 1 Corner that is similar level to Randall without a huge problem. Randall has a solid year but he was very up and down
Is it possible that we’re converting one of our own to play in the slot? I always liked the idea of having a bigger guy like Morgan to cover underneath. Morgan could be that guy. He runs aboutva 4.5X40 with 6.87 3 cone and a 39+ vertical. He’s no slouch In size at
6’1 1/2 209lbs so he can be physical and redirect off the LOS.
Then go after the top outside CB or S in the draft? Get another solid FA Corner?

There are still starting caliber CB's left.

If you wanna pay Tru Johnson $15/yr, go for it. I don't want to.
