Studs: Alexander, Nixon, Clark, Jones, Joe Barry for playing man D allowing JA to shut down Jefferson, Douglas & Savage. The Packer fans at Lambeau for treating the MANY Vikequeen fans in the stands cordially & respectfully. I love how Packer fans banter with opposing fans without being A-Holes!! :)

Clark's strip sack-recovery COMPLETELY ended any Viking's thoughts of a come back.

So you're content with 9-8 season with unreliable defensive scheming? I will always say he was bad hire. He went from a 0-16 team to a (I want to say) a 5-11 Detroit team, to the GBP. I never saw anything he did before reaching the GBP that said he would be any good. IDK, maybe I'm alone, but I don't think that's the case.

I was ready to move on from Barry after the loss to the Eagles. The defense has played significantly better over the past few weeks. If that continues for the rest of the season I don't see any reason to replace him anymore though.

Duds- Aaron Rodgers as a human being.

I have absolutely no idea what that is about.

Completely shocked how the game played out. But thankful.

Romo noticed that the Packers were watching Cousins. This enabled them to jump routes and pursue to the ball quickly. Notice not too many guys running around free today. Still can't cover tight ends over the middle though.

Vikings fans are the worst in the division. By FAR. With zero Super Bowls to their credit, I never saw the logic.

Cousins did connect with Hock easily for a drive moving the ball easily.... before he fumbled to Clark. Thought they'd score in that drive.
There were a few there in the middle later game, but for the most part I thought GB did a great job of preventing any big plays and when they did catch some, they were tackled pretty much immediately. That's how they played much of last year and what has been missing much of this year. Teams are going to complete some passes, our problems have been the completely wide open and 15 yarder into 60 yard pass play from poor/no coverage, poor angles/tackling. Yesterday, they were actually covering people. They can, we knew they could. We've seen it, but they just weren't consistently much of this year.

I felt good for Savage. He's been much maligned this year but made a great play on the tipped ball and return. He's been pretty solid the last 2 weeks. They need this play going forward.

Zach Tom has been a godsend. Just plug him in and let him play. Going from LT to RT where the footwork is opposite is amazing.

Is anyone else wondering if Jerry Gray has taken on some of the DC role behind the scenes?

It’s an interesting thought.

I definitely think LaFleur inserted himself and either got considerably more hands on, or he inserted himself and told Barry how it was going to be. I could see where some of Barry’s responsibilities were delegated out.

Because it’s definitely a more aggressive, physical scheme. Not so much the scheme itself necessarily, but just playing closer to the LOS. And guys are playing with a fire that I haven’t seen in an extremely long time. More press man, guys are flying to the football, getting off blocks quickly, etc.

IF* the defense can continue playing the way it played yesterday, and the offense can figure out enough ways to score, and the special teams seem to be elite, the Packers are as scary as anyone.

Studs: Obviously Nixon, It has been sooooo long since we have had a kick-off returned for a TD. The whole defense with stand-outs being DL and Alexander. At least Alexander put his money where his mouth was. The offense hung in there and started making the plays.
Someone finally lit a fire under the defense and in the last couple of weeks they have come to play.

Dud: The blocked punt.

I'll admit that I wanted to see Love starting a month ago. Didn't have faith in a 180 turnaround. Next?
I considered that also. Yet I understood waiting 1 more week until we were eliminated, that just makes sense.
I’ve never been so happy to be wrong!

That was the most enjoyable game. We started like we were going to lose by 3 scores.

Our Defense held them at the 1 yard line! They went backwards -3!

Our ST gets a KR TD?!

Savage gets a tipped pass and runs for 6!?

Crosby hits a 55 yarder?

We kept getting first downs and just milking the clock which I loved. Often rushing 4, which hasn’t been our trademark since losing Gary.

J’aire makes everyone eat crow! He 100% backed up his BIG talk. That was his best performance this season

I watched all these sportscasters just disparage us all week. Almost with an air of disdain. My prayer was answered with a pair of exclamation points ! !

I'll admit I thought they were out of it a few weeks ago. I would have been calling for Love to start the minute they were mathematically eliminated. Not because I had any expectations of Love, but because we might as well see if he has a future as a Packer. Glad that didn't happen.

A beat down on the Vikings is second only to winning the Super Bowl for me. Especially after the way they smashed us in the first game. The Vikes have gotten every favorable bounce and break so far this year, getting to an impressive record without playing impressive football. Their luck ran out in a big way yesterday.

The last four games have been playoff rounds for the Packers: win or you're done. Five more to go.

Initially I wasn't happy to see only 2 down linemen on D in the 2nd half, but quickly realized Barry was daring them to run the ball & eat the clock. Very happy to see man coverage which eliminated Jefferson.
