Maybe I'm wrong but I think Walker plays better with Cooper.
You may be right, but time and again we see Walker make really boneheaded errors. I don't really know what to make of him.

But Hafley keeps slapping that green dot on the back of his helmet, week after week. I guess he knows something we don't.

Eedit: and Walker deserves credit for outgrowing those stupid, unnecessary drive-extending penalties that he was famous for his first couple of years. That used to frustrate the hell out of Lafleur, but he patiently worked with Walker and got him past that. I really didn't think it was something that could be coached out of him.

One of my best buddies from high school is a professor of physics and astronomy. It's his dream job; he just loves it.

This is a guy who once was talking to another friend about how much LSD they did. One friend said he'd taken acid about 12-15 times. Alan thought about it for a moment and said, "I've done it about 40 times I think". Everyone overhearing the conversation was shocked, and someone asked him,"Over how many years?" Because we were all only about 15 or 16. Alan said, "Oh, I mean this summer."

Hard to believe he turned out the way he did. Very responsible, over-achieving guy. He and his wife own a medium sized farm, he teaches at the local university, they have a very popular and successful band, organize a large regional annual music festival, and he has his own radio show once a week. I think he produces a line of maple syrup every year as well. I don't know if anyone who knew him 50 years ago could have ever seen that coming.
If I recall Lombardi had to teach a number of subjects while he coached HS football at St. Cecilia's. I believe they were math and science courses.

Something else I just realized. Our Defense just held Geno Smith to his

2nd lowest Passer rating (77.4) in a game this season (49ers)
2nd worst Point Spread (-17) in a game this season (Bills)
2nd lowest YAC in a game this season
(49ers)

Really quality job there by Hafley n Co

I wonder what it would be like, having Lombardi as a teacher? I'm sure he took the responsibility seriously.
