I probably got this a little off topic, so I’m moving my response to a thread @AmishMafia started

Were obviously at that point we can evaluate and it’s a fun topic and loaded also

Now reports that the owner wanted to bench Rodgers after week 4?

Going into the season I wasn't particularly rooting for any path to the Jets season. If they were successful, great. If it was a dumpster fire, great. Whatever path the choose your own adventure book "Aaron Rodgers, Jets QB" took was going to be entertaining.

At this point now I just want the dumpster fire for the entertainment value. The full on Saving Private Ryan scene where they torch the pillbox, guys are jumping out on fire and someone yells "Don't shoot, let 'em burn!"

I feel the same way about Rodgers and the Jets. I'm happy with the way this all turned out for the Packers, that is the draft capital from the Rodgers/Adams trades. Rodgers was a great QB for GB and for most of his career, seemed like an OK guy - some family/relationship problems but that covers just about all of us.

He got truly strange after the Love trade, and I mean truly strange. I get that he would be pissed off by the pick, but it seemed to motivate him to play his best ball for the next two years. But the ayahuasca and the darkness retreats and the condescending voice/attitude and inability to accept any responsibility - yeah it was time to move on.

Even so, had the Jets been successful, fine w/ me as long as as the Packers keep winning. It does seem like Father Time has caught up with him. And with his personality, can't see him doing any kind of network/broadcast work. Even Jeopardy told him "no thanks".

I'm in the same boat.

I actually have always been a Jets fan. Since I was a kid, I have liked, in order, Packers, Chiefs, Jets.

So a part of me really wanted to see the Jets finally make it to a Super Bowl and if it wasn't the Packers they were playing, win it all.

However, my disgust with Rodgers attitude and demeanor in his final years in GB took over. That never would have happened had Rodgers truly changed, which it appeared he did for awhile. However, Rodgers just can't stop Rodgering and he's pulled that franchise into the fray with him.

I am sure that they are making more out of it than it is, but just saw articles today that Davante wasn't too happy with Rodgers after a play. Did he stay mad? Probably not. Was it a big deal? Probably not. However, Davante's frustration after a single play, is kind of a glimpse of how a lot of Rodgers teammates probably feel about him and Davante was a guy that used to always have Aaron's back.

When I was watching the Jets during commercials; I saw Rodgers miss 2 or 3 times crossing the middle. Open and he just threw it behind the guy. Otherwise his throwing looks pretty good.

I agree, he can still throw a decent pass. Rodgers might be one of the best QB's to play the game when it comes to stepping out of the huddle, reading the defense and knowing what they are going to do. This is has been both a blessing and a curse for Rodgers. With such little time to snap the ball, chances are, the other 10 guys on the field with him don't exactly see what Rodgers sees or know just how to react to it if they do. When a play goes bad, Rodgers reacts with the look of "What the H where you thinking dude, didn't you see what I was seeing?"

That attitude grew the longer he was in Green Bay and I think he tried to squash it a bit in New York, but its back.

The other problem with AR today, his age and injuries no longer allow him to move as freely in or out of the pocket as he once did. Rodgers was the king of stretching plays and avoiding sacks. The Jets OL is taking a ton of blame for all the sacks and hits on Rodgers, and probably some of it rightfully so. However, Rodgers knows what kind of OL he has in front of him, he needs to adapt his game to that and he can't.
