Hi Guys and Gals,

I'm just curious out of all 32 NFL teams where would us the fans rank our Packers offensive today and why do you rank them there?

Thank You

Probably around 12. They can be a top offense, the talent is there, but with the game plans, decisions made, and the slow starts I couldn't trust them to win a shootout with any teams like the Rams, Chiefs, Patrtiots, Steelers, etc.

The Packers have featured a slightly above average offense so far this season. They have made too many mistakes to perform up to their potential but if the unit gets its act together the Packers will once again one of the most potent offenses in the league. Rodgers being injured since the first quarter of week 1 hasn't helped either.

I'm hoping tonight is a spring board game that will propel the team moving forward. Get some good feels tonight, and carry that into the bye week, get some guys healthy, and get ready to go on a tear starting after the bye week.

Two ways to answer that question - what they’ve been (average, middle of the league) and what they could be - a top 5 offense. Some of the problems are due to injury, Cobb and Allison of note. But there have been dropped balls and ARod hasn’t been as accurate with his throws as in years past. I think a lot of the problems could be overcome by establishing the running game, and for me, that means having Jones, not Williams or Montgomery, as the feature back. RPO only works when a defense respects the run. The Packers have also played from way behind a lot this year, taking the run out of the picture. But I’m hopeful. I expect Jones will start and with or without Cobb and Allison, ARod has enough weapons to get the job done. The knee injury certainly hasn’t helped, limiting his roll out opportunities, certainly one of the strongest parts of his game. But when someone is open, his accuracy needs to be there, and I’m sure it will get better starting tonight.

Offense right now isn't top anything. They are average. Not slightly above average or slightly below. I do not trust them once they hit the opponents 30 yard line.

So where do you rank them as of today?

By the Rams game the Packers will get back Geronimo Allison, Randall Cobb AND Jake Kumerow.

To answer the thread title question: Yes.

They are pretty rank. Hopefully they will stop stinking soon, they have the talent to be up there in the top 5 or 6. Last nights offensive game plan looked good. Then the defense stunk. Cant we have a game where all phases play well?

Maybe by the Super bowl? I'm never giving up hope :)

We have players, they need to put it together and be consistent about it.

Personally, I've found their all around play offensive

and downright rank at times.

I know you beat me to it Amish but it just popped into my mind and I had to go with it even after I read your post.
