Bostick, Bush, Lang, Perry and Sitton didn't practice today, Elliott returned.

Is anyone else dying to see Elliott in there rushing in these blowout games? He showed so much in the preseason and considering how old/valuable Mathews and Peppers are, I'd think it'd be a perfect time to get Elliott some real reps.

Elliott has had a hamstring issue, so no need to rush him back early and risk further setbacks. Young guys (and some older ones) are notorious for pushing too fast. Hamstrings, achilles, and a few others need to rest longer than just when the pain is gone. That's a tough concept for young dudes to understand, much like letting your steak sit for 15 minutes on the counter before cutting into it. Some people just can't resist the temptation

The one that concerns me slightly is Perry. He is definitely playing well this season with Clay moving around. I haven't read a reason for his absence but hope that it isn't serious.

Perry has a shoulder injury, Bush a groin injury, Matthews was limited because of a groin injury.

I was wondering about Matthews. On that beautiful double-jump pass knockdown he was hopping around like he might have tweeked something. He went on to play without any perceptible affect, but that could be the adrenalin.

The fact he did not come out of the game and this does not involve his hamstrings would indicate it's not a major thing.

McCarthy said Matthews wasn't concerned about the injury.

Packers pick up G Rishaw Johnson. No cuts announced. I didn't realize they had an open spot.

The had an open spot on the practice squad because they promoted Justin Perillo to the active roster last week.

Renfrow played defensive tackle in college and with the Cardinals this offseason but switched to offensive tackle while playing in the FXFL this fall.

Of course Lang is very important and they could really use Perry this game.

T.J. Lang returned to practice today but Davante Adams wasn't able to participate.

No worries, we've got Boykin. Seriously, might mean they'd have to throw Janis in there, and we'd get a chance to see if he can stretch the field like posters and fans have been clamoring for.

Can Janis make the field?

Maybe. :) Unless it's an inside forum term, I don't understand 'make the field'.

Sorry. I thought my original post on the subject presupposed that he would, given that Adams may be out and Boykin has been invisible.

I am not positive he will be active to play. I would love to see him on the football field.
