As to be expected, the local media is having some fun in London. Just follow the additional links within this first story before they left Green Bay:

I'm actually a bit excited about the Wilson signing. Could be one of those under the radar signings that pay big dividends, like Campbell and Douglas last year.
Exactly what I was thinking earlier.
First we’ve shown very capable at poaching good players from other teams PS. We wouldn’t use a Spot on our roster unless said we projected that player was at least a better fit than a player already on it.

Secondly, fringe players often have something to prove.

He is at worst hair below Barnes on three down defense...but is more value on ST. Best case he is as or better than Barnes on three downs and is more value on ST. It's that 50th spot and above roster position churning good GMs do.

Yeah. They are about splitting hairs the same overall. But like you said, Wilson has 955 snaps in 5 seasons on ST so he’s a really experienced ST player. It’s about twice the snaps per season on ST in comparing Barnes.
I noticed MN used Wilson a bit more in a rush the passer capacity. He’s been in on 96 Blitz packages in the last 3 seasons. Wilson posted a 4.5 sec 40, so he’s a tad smaller (230lb) but also faster than Barnes.
As a comparison, Barnes has been in on 30 Blitzes over 2 seasons.

Wilson had his breakout season in 2020, where he played 96% of the Vikings Defensive snaps and still 23% of their ST snaps. That season he was on fire and Wilson held opponents to a 74.3% passer rating. Had 3 INT, 8 PD, 1FF, 2FR, 122 Tackles, 8 TFL, 3 sacks and 9 QB hits. Pretty darn respectable work and if we get anywhere close to that level of play in limited snaps? he’ll be a welcome addition.

Where to watch the 830 game? I found Milwaukee and Eau Claire have several listings but here in Madison I can only find one bar that will open early

Got a feeling the team has its best game of the season. Offense more in sync, a couple of turnovers from the defense.

I do not have NFL Network but there is a big casino about 2 miles down the road that is open 24/7. Their TVs should be going.
