Even if the kick had been good, they would have used the onside kick. That wouldn't change. If we want to say Crosby caused the hit, maybe we should look back further and second guess when we went for two as causing the hit. If we'd gone for the single extra point, it would have created a 9 point difference.

Okay, waiting for response as to how Crosby would have missed the EP.........5..........4...........3.......2........1

Yup....the onside kick doesn't happen if Rasul doesn't drop that second interception....Lazard catches that TD....Adams catches that one first down chance late....if we don't suck in the red zone....if.....if.....if.....

Crosby has zero part of the blame on the onside kick occurring or he has equal part of the blame to a plethora of others on it.

On the long touchdown given up by Douglas it looked like Amos botched the the over the top help. He tried to jump the slant portion of the route and then got burned on the go portion.

At that point of the game with the score at that time he needed to focus on keeping play in front of his position instead of hunting for stats.

I would like to be a fly on the wall in their coaches meeting as they dissect what went wrong on that one. Maybe it will come down to being a help down the road, by them making a correction in assignments.

But it's very true. Sometimes players get blamed for errors when it's one someone else for having blown the play.
