Bottom line if the defense cannot step up and trounce MN I consider the defense to be regressing drastically. We have seen this so many times.
I don’t know about trouncing MN because their run game is still the same, very good. However its dual run-pass threat that makes the MN Offense effective. Part of that has been really disrupted with Cousins being out. That doesn’t even touch the temperature and wind (10MPH forecast) is going to interfere hard with longer throws.Bottom line if the defense cannot step up and trounce MN I consider the defense to be regressing drastically. I'm sure Minnesota does also. The point is there is no weather advantage this weekend except Minnesota's sideline is on the east I believe so they are facing into whatever westerly breeze there is.Green Bay does practice outside, too.
I have never said anything to the contrary, what I HAVE said is I wish people would at least give him a proper chance before they write him off completely. The jury is still out on Love, he needs more playing time. So far, he is el sucko! I'm not ready to hand the keys over to Love when Rodgers is playing at such a high level.
The glaring thing I see w Love is his confidence. He seems to have little to none - now, it will take him a while to learn the offense. He's as athletic as I have seen. Very strong. He has a lot of the tools that suit him, but one I have yet to see is throwing accurate passes consistently. More tea? lol 10 year old Templeton Rye is probably more appropriate.I have never said anything to the contrary, what I HAVE said is I wish people would at least give him a proper chance before they write him off completely.
But doesn`t that come with experience of the offense ?The glaring thing I see w Love is his confidence. He seems to have little to none - now, it will take him a while to learn the offense. Hence the comment I made referring to that. The answer to that question is hopefully yes. He has had some time to learn and watch one of the best, no question. Usually getting a masterful teacher helps tremendously. The accuracy thing is very troubling however. But doesn`t that come with experience of the offense ?
But then mate if a QB (Insert name here) overthrows, it on the reciever not getting open or downfield quick enough....lol We are on the same page here, I just think he needs a bit more experience is allHence the comment I made referring to that. Cousins has been having a very good year. Few interceptions and a bunch of TDs. Hard to see how his not playing does not affect their offense.I have no idea what Love is going to be, I don't care at this point. I'm not expecting a huge drop off in MN's offense because Cousins is out and a back up is in. The strength of their offense runs thru Cook and that's not changing.
It will, but I don't think it will be by as much as people think. Certainly nothing like the case of GB playing without Rodgers. I don't think Cousins is bad by any means. But much of what he does is done because their running game makes it so. If it was an offense dependent on their QB making plays he wouldn't be having near the season.Cousins has been having a very good year. Few interceptions and a bunch of TDs. Hard to see how his not playing does not affect their offense.
No Cousins, No Thielen, Conklin nursing a hamstring, Cook coming off of Covid, No Dantzler.... I couldn't have asked for much better of a Packer X-Mas present than that, unless it included Jefferson missing the game, so that he could appear on Dancing With The Stars!
I bet he’d be a good thoughI couldn't have asked for much better of a Packer X-Mas present than that, unless it included Jefferson missing the game, so that he could appear on Dancing With The Stars!
I agree on that part.Personally, I don't put much stock in beating teams missing key players. Less of an indicator of where we are, and kind of a hollow victory.

I agree on that part.
To add to that a W is more indirectly helpful because I really feel strongly that we are 2-4 weeks from getting back several starting caliber players.
Yes it would be nice to throttle them. Yet a W is still far more important long term.
I’ll pick Rodgers if he can play with decimated rosters vs any other qb with decimated rostersDefinitely improves the likelihood that we'll win, but I can't help but fear that the playoffs are going to be a disaster. Teams are going to be decimated and it'll likely affect the quality of the games. Not good.
Alexander is off the IR...I think he may play...Z and Bakh no chanceI hate to say this, but at this point I'm doubtful we see Z or Bach at all and possibly not Alexander either. Also at this point, how good will they be if they do not play before the playoffs? A lot of rust to shake off, and probably as good a chance of them being reinjured as being the players they've been in the past.
I think 60% we see 1 of those 2 other guys back in the postseason. At least suited anyway. It’s only a + as our success does not hinge on it. We’ve already Won 12 contests without them, so it’s just a +Alexander is off the IR...I think he may play...Z and Bakh no chance

I will give you 6 reasons why I am just fine with the Vikings missing a few key players:Personally, I don't put much stock in beating teams missing key players. Less of an indicator of where we are, and kind of a hollow victory.
What would be an indicator and a bad one is if we struggle or worse yet lose tonight.
