Were not getting ANYONE on that list unless we get fleeced by Chiefs for Ford and maybe a shot at Houston.

Earl Thomas wants to be the higest paid free safety.

Amos has four teams in hot pursuit.

I donr't want Sheldon Richardson and there not gonna sign him.

What does Golden Tate do for us?

The rest of the list is blah.

Ok.

So you would have signed who today?

We could have Antonio Brown and Osemele right now and be in good situation cap wise with all our premium picks left. Could probably still get Ingram too

The offense would be ready to roll hard and draft a couple edge rushers in the draft. Something like Sweat/Ferguson/Adderley

Adderley isn't an edge rusher?

And we weren't going to trade for AB with him wanting a new contract. He's a major locker room issue, kinda crazy, and wanted a new contract. I get it.

We're not going to trade for an OL that doesn't fit our scheme. It just doesn't make any sense. That would be like signing Landon Collins and making him play single high safety.

With respect, like duh with a capital D. No one is saying to throw money left and right and sign everyone, I don't think any one is suggesting that. My point wasn't in regards to this first day of FA as I've mentioned, this is just how I view the front office based off years of watching them. I just have low expectations in regards to who we're going to sign.
If you're complaining they didn't sign someone today, then yes you are saying to throw some money left and right because that's exactly what teams did.

Wow. This is like having a conversation about how water is hydrogen and oxygen with a person who argues it is "God's tears sent to nourish the earth".

We can't have a meaningful conversation on this topic bc we aren't talking rationally to one another from either ones perspective.

A) your definition of "good cap situation" vs mine seem vastly apart. We cannot pay the most for qb, wr, possibly defensive player (bet you wanted Mack too last year with same argument) and pay a functional roster to fill out game day. Full stop.

B) assuming we are a lock to get any of those players in our spot is a crapshoot at best, and that doesn't factor in "bust" ability.

Throw in Ingram at a spot we actually seem to have shored up vs the rest of the holes in our roster, and my water sure sounds like God's tears from you.

Why not give Rodgers the support he needs. He iis almost the only damn thing we have going for us. Maximize it!

Cut T. Williams, Perry and Crosby and there is your $.

Resign M. Wilkerson and Breeland. Move Josh Jackson to free safety.

This **** isnt that hard. the Patriots do it every year. We just stay stuck on stupid.

That tells me you draft edge rushers and quite trying to get them in free agency.
I have no problem with that if Gutekunst can't get a second tier, second contract guy at less than an insane price.

Edge rushers tend to be like wide receivers...they don't do much as rookies. I have patience for that. Certain other parties do not, but I won't mention names. ;)

My tears come from the Packers being too chicken **** to cut a bad contract and continue to pay a dud.

We really dont know because we havent drafted one in years other then Vince Biegel in the 4th round. Too busy rebuilding the "secondary of the ages"

I dont think the rookies could do much worse then Perry and Matthews

We do know because other teams have drafted edges. C'mon Brandon.

Then cut Graham too and go get a GAME CHANGER.

And you loved the Graham signing, no? Said it would help us be a super bowl offense?

Maybe, just maybe, acknowledge that like the rest of us, we don't know everything. Your opinion is not an absolute fact. Quit acting like it is.

You never answered btw, who should we have signed today that got signed?

But but but but you said its all about "rookie contracts"?

Can't have it both ways.

It's just what happens in the NFL with rookies at those positions. The exceptions tend to be concentrated high in the first round.

Yeah, you can do worse than Perry and Matthews with rookies. But the price is way lower as you work on their development.

I've seen a few people post this, but none reliable. But Amos is getting close to signing with the Pack

I already told you who I wanted. I posted last night we weren't gonna get anyone today cause i knew the Packers front office wouldnt budge on paying.

However i did have some hope that they might be up to something big after laying off on Brown.

So there was nobody on the FA list that you wanted today, and you're mad we didn't sign one of them.

You're mad we didn't want to pay AB the largest WR contract in the league, and add a very tumultuous personality to our locker room.

And you're mad didn't trade for an OG that doesn't fit the scheme our new HC runs.

That makes a lot of sense Brandon!

I liked Landon Collins but it was too much $ apparantly.
