As of now...

1) Sign Latavius Murray (3 year, 6m)
2) SIGN Zach Brown!!! (3 year, 10m)
3) Offer Malcolm Butler a contract tender (NE gets 29th pick, Butler gets 1 year/5-7m)
4) Focus draft on depth (OG, RB , DE, OLB, CB)
5) Restructure CM3 and Cobb's contracts...SERIOUSLY!!!

Please tell me what Murray does well to warrant a deal? He averaged 4.0 ypc the last two seasons behind one of the best offensive lines in football. The two guys replacing him averaged around 5 ypc. And it isn't just a small sample size. The combined for just 20 less carries than Murray yet had over 150 more yards. Murray scored tds last year but that is about it

There's no chance Butler signs for $5-7 million a season.
While I agree with you he won't play for that little with any other team and its reported he wants a contract similar to what the other top FA CB's received, he may be forced to play for a lot less in NE, $3.9M.

If TT were even contemplating this move, which I don't think he is, he should swap #1's with either New Orleans or Atlanta, get some added value and then give up that lesser pick to NE. Something tells me Butler isn't worth all of what it would take to get him (pick and money) or the Patriots would be holding on to him.

I am trying to interpret your quoting of me and are you saying bc he scored tds we should sign him? He did have 12 last year but had just 6 the year before. With Rodgers we are never going to have a rb with 12 tds unless they can score on longer runs because Rodgers and McCarthy love to throw the ball when we get close. Adding Bennett and Kendricks just point more toward that. If all we need is a short yardage back just draft one late. Murray is the definition of replaceable as a rb

Well, Lacy had 13 touchdowns in 24 games with Rodgers at quarterback during his first two seasons in the league.

So in two seasons he had 13? So an average of 7 a year. If you decide to call it 1.5 seasons it is 8 one year 5 the other. And that is without 2 TE's like they have now who will definitely snag tds away from rbs.
Lacy started 48 games for the Packers and rushed for 23 tds. So under 1 every two games. We are looking at 8 a year. In 6 starts last year Montgomery had 3 tds. 1 every 2 games.

Well, I took Lacy's touchdown number with Rodgers playing quarterback during his first two seasons which accumulates to 1 1/2 seasons as #12 missed eight games because of a broken collarbone in 2013.

It's probable the Packers won't feature a running back with diuble digit TDs with Rodgers healthy for an entire season but it would be good to have a RB capable of pounding the ball in close from the goal line.

I completely agree. I just don't think it is too hard to find that. If the Packers just featured rip close to the goal line he could probably get 5-7 but I think drafting a back in the middle rounds who fits that mold would make sense

Lacy was also much better than Murray at basically everything.
