Since Trubisky took back over in week 12 (against GB), the Bears have scored:

25 @ GB
34 Vs DET
36 Vs HOU
33 @ MIN
41 @ JAC

The Texans, Vikings, Jaguars, and Lions are the 27th, 28th, 31st, and 32nd ranked scoring defenses in the NFL.

In those four games, David Montgomery has really catalyzed the offense, accounting for 83 carries, 426 yards, and 6 TD (5.1 YPC).

So slowing the Bears' roll will begin with slowing Montgomery, either via strong run defense or running up the score.

In the passing game, their resurgence has been more about Nagy scheming things open for Trubisky, and the offensive line holding up much better than it had previously. If the Packers can disrupt the way they did on Sunday night, Trubisky's box score isn't going to look quite so impressive.

On defense, the Bears technically still have a top ten unit in scoring D, but they've faded down the stretch and can definitely be had.
I heard Mitch started to tell Matt what HE plays he likes

before Mitch just did what was told , after benching he spoke his mind and opened up. Team is now seeing him as a leader and coaching is LISTENING TO HIM

but it’s da bears and they suck

Im more worried about this game than the Titans.. this bears team is dangerous..

I won’t be worried until it’s a win

Mitch is still Mitch. Watched part of the Jacksonville game and they were moving the ball pretty well. Good running and really lots of wide open easy passes. They get in the redzone and he throws one of the more boneheaded throws i've seen all year with 5 or 6 defenders in the corner of the endzone and that's where he decides to throw the ball. no surprise it was an INT.

The only way the Bears win this game is if our offense doesn't do its job. If they do and Mitch feels the slightest pressure to make a play it will be a blowout. He's still what he's always been. decent athlete who's easily confused and makes bad decisions.

Sure he can make some plays, and if our offense can't score any points he can make enough to beat us. But if our offense has an average day for them, I don't see it being close.

I don't expect to see Dillon much if Williams is back healthy and Jones is 100% BUT if we do I cannot describe how much joy it would bring to my heart to see him flatten Trevathon or Mack on a play....if ANY back we've ever had could win a collision with Mack it is him.

Think you meant "I won't be not worried until it's a win"?....but I feel the same way. My biggest concern is the Bears defense. With Hicks back and them playing for their playoff lives, that defense is going to come out with vengeance. A guy like Trevathan, who isn't above taking a cheap shot, has to be kept far away from Rodgers. Mack is another guy who can totally disrupt a game.

I won't be breathing normally until I see the Packer offense come out and operate efficiently against that Bear Defense. Many are looking at the first game which at first glance looks like a Packer beat down with a 41-25 final score. 3 Bear turnovers and 0 by the Packers helped to make that game a much wider margin than it could have been. I do believe that the Packers are the far superior team, but they have to still play near to the top of their game to put down a group of angry, hungry Bears that will be fighting for their lives.

Well apparently what he told Nagy was "scheme me a lot of wide open receivers against some wretched defenses. That's what I'm good at."

One thing coaches began to notice was Trubisky’s assertive nature. He was giving strong opinions on how he wanted the offense to run. How he felt was the best way to help himself and the team score points. More running the ball, more play action, and more tight end usage.

Saw that too. This game and any other ones this season that the Bears might play in might be "Millions of dollars" games for Mitch. I think 6 weeks ago, his time in Chicago appeared to be winding down, but if he pulls out a few nice performances when they really matter, who knows what the Bears will do with him.

The Bears recent success may have even saved Nagy and Paces jobs. Had they continued down the path they were heading in before their latest 3 game winning streak, the McCaskey's may have cleaned house.

Now the good news for the Packers, I don't consider any of the Bears recent wins (Texans, Vikings, Jags) as real statements as to them being a contender. Let's hope their 2020 signature win doesn't come on Sunday.

Rodgers is making a statement and this game will be just another middle finger to everyone who thought he was declining. He is a cold blooded assassin. He'll throw 3-4 TDs before the end of the 3rd quarter. Might even run one in and give us the old discount double check bit. He will leave no doubt he is the MVP.

Also, I really want to see what happens in the 4th quarter. Feature a heavy dose of AJ Dillon and bludgeon the Bears into weeping submission. Let the Big Three of Rodgers, Adams, and Jones rest.

These are exactly the types of puff pieces I want Chicago FO types to be reading right now.

Just check out Bears twitter. The number of Bears fans that would be cool with giving Tribisky 30 million a year is comical

Under no circumstances will I be worried about a Trubisky led team

Well, I'm not necessarily worried about them, and obviously the Packers are the better team.

But when you blow the Titans out like that and limit the Henry damage to 98, it's hard not to get cocky. We have to watch out for that.

Now yes we do still have a number one seed, but the Bears have double motivation too with a chance to not only spoil a #1 seed chance but make the playoffs themselves.

While I don't put any stock in Trubisky, I do in Akiem Hicks being back which may mean our RBs won't be cutting up their defense right and left like they did last game.

I'm taking us over them, but I don't think we're going to go into the 4th quarter up 41-10 like we were last game.

I'm nervous because I'm not As concerned about this game as I was the Titans. But Montgomery is not a bad RB. The DL has Hicks back and Trubisky is a moble QB. I know this is going to be a tough game, but for some reason I'm not biting my nails...at least not yet. What's wrong with me?;)

Anyone watch the Mayo Bowl today? I swear Jay Cutler was playing QB for Wake Forest! If it wasn't for some garbage yards at the end of the game for WF, I think the Badgers Defense had more receiving yards then either of the 2 offenses.

This is a trap game for Packers. So we can’t take the foot off the pedal, if we jump to 21-27 points at half, we need to drop another 25 in second.

also, with goff injured, Anderson not running, rams defense can only do so much to knock Arizona out.
We want to beat bears, let cardinals in as well.
Rams is the no1 defense, that’s super bowl tested, that has the personnel to slow packers, so them not being there helps us.

bears will sneak in as 7, let them deal with Saints and drew Brees and their **** and dunk passes, let cardinals fight division battle with Seahawks, we get 2 targets with one weekend. Should bears beat Saints (apparently they are resurgent lol) then they come to lambeau for divisional weekend 1 vs 7 seed, and we take care of business there. We are left with winner of Seahawks/cardinals vs Tampa bay for nfc championship.

lol No it isnt. #1 seed and the line bye on the line against a division rival in the final week of the season is pretty much the definition of "not a trap game"

Would you rather:

Win and have the Bears move on and try to find a good QB.

Lose and have that Chicago win be the reason why they decide to keep rolling with Mitchell?

It would be extremely stupid to make such a decision based on a single game. With it being the Bears we're talking about that might be a possibility though.

Would the Bears be in with a loss if the Rams and Arizona lose?

With the Rams and Cardinals playing each other that might be tough to accomplish.

Really not scared of them..their offense is crap and turd biscuit is their qb. We just stomped the team with the #1 scoring offense..what are the bares 30th?

The Bears are currently 18th in the league in points scored, ranking third over the last four weeks. Dantes correctly pointed out they have been playing terrible defenses though.

So **** is 1-0 after a playoff bye and 0-1 after no playoff bye. ;)

The Packers are 0-2 after no playoff byes under MLF, having been outscored 75-18 in those games.

I was referring to Playoff Games after a bye. The Packers won their only playoff game after a bye under MLF and lost their only Playoff game after no bye under MLF.

I think we both know, just like any stat, including the one I posted about being 1-0 in the playoffs after a bye, they are kind of meaningless when limited to such a small amount of data.

This is old data and maybe it has changed, but it shows why getting that week off in the playoffs helped many teams from 1990-2011.

I recall that top 2 seeds were the division winners at least 2/4 but usually 3/4 every year.

Yup and if my quick eye scan of the past 7 SB participants is correct, both teams playing had bye weeks to open the playoffs. Actually, just going down the list for several years after that, seems like a lot of teams that reached the SB did so after a 1st round bye.

The Packers need 51 points on Sunday to tie the 2011 offense.

They sit at 474 right now, but two touchdowns were scored by the defense, so the offense has 460.

The 2011 team scored a total of 560 points, but a whopping 49 were scored off of ST or DEF touchdowns. So the offense scored 511.

Seven touchdowns and a field goal would put this year's unit at 512. Let's see it!

All TDs to Davante for icing.
