I read on a message somewhere here that Q and Cooper won't be playing together. If we are in a 2 linebacker situation; those are the two I would like to see playing. And both of them on the field when there are 3 linebackers too. Not sure who the third would be. Normally I like McDuffie but I didn't think he played well last game.

I'm hoping to see a lot of Musgrave and Kraft when Jacobs isn't pounding the rock. Their offense will be a real challenge for our defense and like the Lions they will go for it on 4th down and short just about every time they're past their 40. They can kill the clock amongst the best of them and keep Love on the sideline. To beat them, you have to score early and often. If they're left to dictate the pace, we're toast.

Biggest variable right now is whether Hurts clears the concussion protocol. Second biggest is if Walker gets healthy and the Packers put him in for snaps over Cooper...Cooper is playing like a first round LB while Walker has, over his entire career, played like cornerback who can't cover (i.e., he can't take on blocks, can't cover, and consistently makes tackles 5+ yards downfield).

Packers defense (assuming coaches are smart and keep Cooper on the field over Walker) should be able to hold up pretty well against an Eagles offense minus Hurts...if Hurts plays then things might get rough because the defense's Achilles heel all season has been an absolutely awful pass rush. If the Packers can't get any pressure on Hurts he'll have all day to wait until Brown or Smith get open against a surprisingly adequate coverage group. Also, the Eagles have a TERRIFIC oline and, coupled with a bad Packers dline and Barkley, I'm certainly worried about the defense holding up if it's a close game in the 4th.
Packers offense on the other hand...I'm worried about that. When Watson is on the field, the Packers offense is elite, like top-5 elite. When he's out, the offense is mediocre. He provides so much to offense in his ability to run block and his ability to stretch the field. Without Watson, the Eagles will just sit on everything and make it really hard to do anything on offense. I would like to say I trust MLF to overcome that but I'm not sure that's possible for any coach with an offense that will be constipated by a lack of a real deep threat against the best defense in the NFL.
Getting Evan back at safety would be a big plus. Bullard can move over to nickel.

I would be completely shocked if Hurts wasn't under center on Sunday. Just think the last week has been nonsensical 'gamesmanship' by the Eagles. Pretty telling that they dropped a QB yesterday that would have been the emergency one.
Hurts may be cleared but they could limit him depending how the game goes. They obviously want to see him get reps so he is not cold going into the next game.

In 2011 MM rested a lot starters vs the Lions for the last game of the season. How did the ensuing playoff game against the Giants go ? How did the bye week help the Packers in 2021 when everybody got a rest? Not good. I can be a huge critic of MLF when he deserves it. He's in a no win situation when it comes to sitting players. I don't blame him for the injuries yesterday. Watson is injury prone and he's going to get hurt sooner than later.
Didn't philbins kid die that week..or the funeral was that week. I think the team and coaches were mentally drained by that game.
I think "rust" on a veteran is over-rated. One might make the counter argument of "his legs and arm will be well rested, so once he warms up, watch out."

It would be a great break for the Packers if Hurts doesn't play, but my gut is that the Eagles will do what the Packers themselves do, play the game. They won't officially say that Hurts is playing, until they have to. Make the Packers prepare for another QB and then throw them a left jab with "Hurts is 100%."
He hasn't practiced in a couple of weeks either. That has to have some effect. If it was Rodgers out that long, his team would get trounced!

This is merely my gut feeling from watching a few minutes of him warming up with that medicine ball Putting shoulder pads on.
He looks off. Either he’s on medication or somethings bothering him he’s not acting right. Just imo. Unless is some sort of acting job which is possible. He’s moving sluggish like almost labored movement. Like 80% speed. Very possible he’s on some medication.

If the Eagles have the #1 defense in the league it is not very promising for us. Last year the Dallas defense was in the top 5 I believe. What teams have we played with top defenses? Other than the Vikings I cannot think of any. The Eagles are very quick off the ball. Remind me of the Denver defense of 10-12 years ago.

Vikings and Eagles. We put up 29,29,25 points on those two teams across 3 games. So GB has scored an average of 27.7 points per contest against THREE Top 5 Defenses.

Eagles played ZERO top 5 and just ONE Top 7 Defenses
The Eagles played THREE Top 10 Defenses
Packers #6
Baltimore #8
Pittsburgh #9

Packers played THREE Top 5 and FIVE Top 7 Defenses
Defenses.
Packers played SIX Top 10 Defenses
Eagles #2
Vikings #5 (2X)
Lions #7 (2X)
Miami is #10

In between The Packers played
Seattle, Chicago, Houston. Thus in total playing NINE Top #14 Defenses
The Eagles? played THREE

-The Packers played the 5th hardest Schedule (.533)
-The Eagles played the 5th easiest
Schedule (.453)

-The Packers have played the #1 hardest schedule of the 14 qualifying playoff teams.
-The Eagles have played the #2 Easiest schedule of Playoff teams.
Only Washington (.436) had an easier road.

Sounds like Love was "limited" at practice today. The feeling in his hand returned, but still has pain in his elbow.

Fans are talking about whether Hurts will be playing on Sunday? I'm more concerned that Jordan might not be.

This is an old Packer game we play. It started with Holmgren and it’s been passed down like an old folklore. Always make your opponents believe you are weak, especially in the media. In not so many words Mike told the lockerroom that before the playoffs. Love unfortunately let the cat out of the bag post game and said he was feeling good.

Eagles are playing the same game.

Unfortunately Matt looks really concerned! Looks like he just hit the Mega Millions and is trying to hide his dimples.
We had multiple Starters on both sides back in practice today. If they are limited again tomorrow back to back they highly likely suit up . Other than Christian Watson, we’re going full strength.

Limited Practice.
Jordan Love, Evan Williams, Quay Walker, Brenton Cox Jr, Zayne Anderson, Romeo Doubs.

I guess we are doubling down on that game, Malik was also listed as "limited".

Just curious, are you questioning the "limited status" because you think both QB's are 100% ready to go and its just a psych game by the Packers? Or are you possibly questioning it, because you don't want to believe that both QB's actually got hurt in the Bear game? ;)

I think there's about as much chance that I dress to play QB vs Philly as there is that Love isn't totally good to go

Packers are pretty much being given short shrift for this game. Outside of Orlovsky, their chances of winning this game really aren't being taken very seriously. Gonna need your big players to come up big and play a near perfect game. Not very confident of the outcome, but as a packer fan very hopeful.

I’m questioning that in life you must have courage. If we were afraid to do our jobs due to minor setbacks we’d all wither away into mediocrity.
I say all the time that I don’t want our team to play timid. I HATE playing “not to lose”. I think short term you might have setbacks taking the assertive approach. Long term not so much. So while you might indeed be exactly right about resting all players. You will also likely lose that mentality in the long term as an opponent wills their way back and defeats us, because we “take the safe approach”. as we took our foot off the gas. It’s a mentality debate and you’re looking at 1 slice of a 8 piece pie. I don’t want 1 slice. I Want the whole pie. So I’ll just concede you could be right in short term philosophy.

Some of the best sports teams have come back from the most improbable setbacks. Btw. Christian Watson didn’t become frail vs Chicago. He’s been frail since he got here. Might as well find out if he can make it through a Quarter of football. I mean, if he cant maybe it’s Gods way of showing us another path.

What I think would be funny is if GB actually Won. Can you imagine a team as banged up as GB beating Philly at The Link? THAT would be headline news. It’s what football is all about for me. Outside of Green Bay, it’s as if The Packers statistically have 0% chance and it makes the sport exciting
I want us to play like dogs.
LOVE ME AN UNDERDOG!!!
