And 7 of those games how many were played with a mash unit at OL? Even Aaron needs time to throw and through the first 7 games he was markedly less effective than usual.

So then having Green, one of the 5 best WRs in the NFL, would be really helpful. Not sure where you were going with this.

That Aaron Rodgers playing behind a terrible Oline probably wasn't much better than Dalton was playing with a healthy unit.

Surprised Adams got a decent chunk less than diggs just got. One less year. 10 million less guaranteed, and less per year.

Adams' deal is going to look better and better as time goes on. Some fans balked at the numbers when he initially signed because they failed to realize that many of the deals less than his were signed under a significantly smaller salary cap. Now guys like Watkins, Cooks, Landry, and Diggs have topped his deal, with more to follow. Beckham, Jones, Cooper, Hill, and Thomas will sign extensions in the next couple of seasons and will all probably top Adams.

Ball almost always pays less in guaranteed money than other teams in the league for comparable players.

Actually you have to realize that Diggs signed an extension while still under contract whereas Adams was headed for free agency. While it's true that Diggs received significantly more guranteed money Adams ($14.5 million per season) will earn slightly more on average than Diggs ($13.8 million), who is now under contract through the 2023 season.

Explain that more. Do you mean that diggs extension takes place after this year? So you count the last year of his rookie deal in his extension he just signed?

Exactly. The Vikings signed Diggs to a five-year extension that added $81 million in new money to a deal that now runs through the 2023 season. That means he's under contract for another six seasons while making a total of $82.9 million.

This year's cap hit will certainly be higher than it was previously ($1.9 million) as he most likely received a decent signing bonus which will be prorated over five seasons.
