Well, it's Hump Day and the Packers are coming off a bye and gearing up to head to Chitcago on Sunday.

My first question is this, where is Caleb Williams the #1 Pick in the draft, that was going to SAVE Da Bears? Maybe even more importantly, where is @Calebs Revenge? Lot's boasting preseason, what's wrong with your Da Bears?

Let the discussion begin......

Packers are pretty darn healthy. They also should be getting back both DB starters, Jaire and Williams and C Josh Myers as well. Love has had a few weeks to rest that knee and groin. Heck, even rookie RB Marshawn Lloyd may be suiting up again.

Da Bears might be feeling that this game will make or break their season, so no letting up on this game. Will the Chicago players get their wish and Caleb Williams is benched, in favor of starting Tyson Bagent? Eberflus is saying that he is still milling it over, but Williams is the starter at this time.

8 games to go. Packers offense needs to get better in the Red Zone. Packers defense needs to get back to taking the ball away and stopping the run. Love needs to decrease the interceptions and make some better choices on when to just throw it away.

The Packers also need to clean up pre-snap penalties on BOTH sides of the ball.

Finally, Packers need to clean-up the drops. Way too many dropped passes.

Basically we just need to do the opposite of everything. :whistling:

In all seriousness those are good points.
I think either just move the needle slightly in the right direction across that spectrum and we’d be pretty hard to beat. That or take any 2-3 of those and get a sizable move in the right direction would also work. Such as 3 flags under 30 yards, no INT for Love for the day. 1 drop. 3 Sacks on Caleb and over 50% on 3rd/4th down

It all sounds pretty reasonable.

I am thinking the Packers get on track in this game. The passing game is more efficient, the OLine plays well, and the defense is aggressive. Packers got things in sync last season about this time and MLF does very well after a bye.

No doubt da Bears will be up for this game as a rivalry should be. Fired OC brings a wrinkle to our defensive game plan, but I think we should be fine.

Caleb is doing about as well as I expected. He only needs some maturity and leadership qualities and he will be very good for the Bears. He isn't there yet, but this season he will have a top 10 all time season for the Bears. And of course that speaks more to the pathetic Bear QB history than Caleb's abilities.

Packers by 15.

Still a young team, with a young QB and a new DC, as well as defensive scheme. Also, hasn't helped that Love's 2 injuries has cost him playing time, as well as playing at 100%.

As Amish pointed out, this is about the time they should be able to start playing with fewer mistakes and more success.

I hope that during the bye MLF and Stenavich worked on a better plan for the red zone offense. The Packers offense has been pretty bad inside the opponents 20. Currently, they rank 29th in red zone scoring offense (TD's) and if they expect to go very far, that HAS to improve.

The positive is that we are making young team mistakes (penalties, drops, etc.). More positive is that we are generally winning the turnover margin. Our defense is legit with a struggling offense.

Assuming that our offense gets on track at some point in the second half of the season, our defense will do even better.

Caleb's Revenge was delusional in the pre-season. Luckily his Love Potion #9 has worn off, and he isn't ******* the George Halas statue as much anymore. I think that Caleb Williams has the opportunity to be good, and has some decent pieces around him. They Bears still need to get stronger organizationally to come close to a dynasty.

Packers by 3. The Bears should be playing a little more tough and desperate after last week's debacle. I wonder what @CalebsRevenge is thinking?

I'm looking forward to see how we do post Preston. I know he had a good game with the steelers but I don't think he was playing all that well for us. He has the potential to do so every game so I'm not that surprised. So I'm hoping we can get after them while also holding the edge and stopping the run. Stopping the run means the linebackers and SS or whoever is in the box needs to get over there and help out. We need to swarm to the tackles like we did last year. The bears are probably better than they seem so we have to play our game and not make dumb mistakes. GoPack!

They've been very bad on offense lately. This is the kind of game we're such a team puts up 30 points on you. The guys need to be focused and put the pedal to the metal.

Bears cut RG Nate Davis. They signed him as a FA in 2023 to a 3 year $30M deal.

Sounds like a guy that made bank and checked out.
