It would be such a game changer getting him. Our offense immediately goes to top 5.
Looks like there might not be an overwhelming market for AB out there. Not saying that I would necessarily do it, but if the asking price is our 2nd rounder this year.....

That has to be something to take into serious consideration.

Might, if all you are looking at is potential statistics. How does it work out if Brown doesn't mesh well with the team or gets injured?

Aren't both of those a consideration, no matter who you're looking to sign? Perhaps, in this case, a little more of the first than most, but nobody is sure to be a great locker room fit.

I think he's nothing more than a selfish *****. I don't care where he goes. the Steelers can give me a 2nd to take this headcase off their hands. Who wants a guy that walks out on the entire locker room a week before the playoffs with playoff implications in that game? Everyone is complaining of MM losing the team and not having discipline, but yeah, let's invite this cancer into the locker room. That's sure to increase team unity with one of the most selfish players in the league coming aboard.

Given what happened in Pittsburgh and how his teammates reacted, I would say his locker room fit is a huge concern.

As far as injuries, when anybody states "this player immediately make us top 5", as the poster I was replying to stated, there are no guarantees and an injury to a player you have invested a lot into, hurts more than a guy you have very little invested in.

I DO NOT WANT BROWN. But hypothetically, if its a trade that is going down, what would a trade look like for GB? I assume in fantasy land, the Steelers wouldnt accept a deal without Adams. Then who else? Maybe all 2 of our 3 first rounders? Again I DONT WANT BROWN. this is purely for fun

Not a ****ing chance there is any deal involving Adams for Brown or multiple 1st rounders.

Obviosly GB wouldnt do that, im asking what people think the Steelers would ask for. I doubt they say "You can have Brown and you give us a 5th round pick and a hug."

Steelers will probably be lucky to get a mid to late first rounder for Brown. While I think the guy is super talented, I wouldn't want him and his ego on the Packers.

The last thing the Packers new coaching staff and players need is that kind of distraction to deal with.

So are you saying you think the Steelers will trade for less than Browns talent value just to get rid of him? They gotta get something in return. Unless everyone low balls them

If the Steelers get rid of Brown, they eat $21.12M of dead cap on the guy and that number goes up by $2.5 if its after the March deadline. That alone says something to me about Brown. Cutting him is the other option, but has the same effect, so whatever they can get for him in a trade, I am guessing they will take.

Because He hates Tomlin and R-Burger.
So he quit on his team. That's a quality player right there LOL. I don't like 2 guys, so I"m quitting on the rest of you. I just signed a 70 million dollar contract, but i'm mad 2 people, so I'm quitting on the rest of you busting your *** to get this team to the playoffs. Where do I sign up for more that? LOL

There are two sides to every story Mondio. Yes, there is risk involved with Antonio Brown but there also was with Andre "Bad Moon" Rison and it got us a Super Bowl.

If we could get Brown it would really open up to do some things on defense in both free agency and the draft. We could probably even go after Hockenson if we got Brown.

Agreed... Brown’s trade value is, ironically, most likely less because he wants it so badly. All the other teams now know that the Steelers don’t have a lot of options. Brown has already shown that he is willing to walk away from his team if he doesn’t get what he wants, therefore the Steelers are most likely quite ready to get rid of him for whatever value they can get. Conversely, any team trading for him will take that into account before they give away the house to get him.

Rison cost nothing in draft picks and there was no salary cap. He was a half year rental. I'd take AB at that. I'm not sending a 2nd rounder for him

Well we need to take some chances. Right now were a losing team with a 35 y/o franchise QB. It's now or never.

Fine, I will use a Super Bowl Championship to justify it. I really don't see what were waiting or saving up for?

I wouldn't say that Andre Rison was the only reason we won that Super Bowl either. A nice mid season pickup, but if you think trading for Antonio Brown assures the Packers of a Super Bowl, I don't think you are seeing things for what they are currently in Green Bay. I also think you are making a dangerous assumption that having Brown instantly improves the Packers. The Steelers seem to disagree with you and they have had him 9 years.

Teams and players wear each other out all the time. This move alone wouldn't put us in the Super Bowl but would have us in the right direction.

Adding Brown would give us the best 1-2 punch in the league. I don't claim to know everything that happened in PiTT but if the Packers personnel staff believe they can keep him in line then it's hard to pass up his talent.

I agree that it is time to take risks, however I do not know if Brown is the risk. Purely on previous super bowl teams alone in my head, so I could be wrong. I am not here to discredit everything AB has done, stats and talent are great. But history says a team with a #1 WR or even #1 RB with that much ego/drama does not translate into playoff/super bowl victories. So the window is closing and time to take risks on winning. I do not know if the risk/reward is totally there with this one. It is a big flashy splash that an Oakland type of team needs, not Green Bay. My opinion.
