Now granted Stroud didn't look quite like Daniels but it will be interesting to see if Daniels can continue to do this for years to come. He no doubt is having the greatest Rookie QB year ever and it ain't even done yet.

@Pugger is absolutely right though, I am seeing so many Packer fans posting all kind of suicidal depression riddled nonsense about what Love isn't and all that crap....folks Love still despite having a down year compared to his year one as a starter was a TOP 10 QB in nearly all advanced metrics that grade a QB.

I don't need to have the Barry Sanders of the position to win a Super Bowl....I just need a Super Bowl as a buddy told me once.

Is Love the type of QB that is in the top 3-4 in the league and can carry a team to a championship? The Packers think he is but he didn't show it in 2024. His floor is quite high because of his athleticism. At his current level, he's about a 9-12 level QB in the league. I think his biggest flaw is his inaccuracy on deep throws over 30 yards in the air. He also showed problems with decision making this year. I wouldn't assume he's not going to be able to improve. The WR Corp was an even bigger disappointment this year partly due to injuries that limited Love's progress. Love's poor play down the stretch is a big concern but I doubt he can be written off as a failure.

Jordan Love will never be a QB like Daniels. Daniels looks like a generational talent who can carry a team on his shoulders. But that doesn't mean we can't win with Love. Jordan just needs a better supporting cast to be successful.
I remember telling our resident Bear fan he was expecting too much out of their rookie quarterback. But look what Daniels has done, yikes.

Most athletes have good years and bad years. Let's just hope this was an off year for Love.

So far Love is more like Goff imho. Because he really wants to stay inside the pocket. In that case we really need superior offensive linemen to keep him clean. Not just above average linemen if we want to compete at the end of the year. But we can't pay them all. So we need to keep drafting them. Not projects but bonafide linemen. Each year. At least one from 3rd round or better. Eventually we could slide by getting a free agent or trade.

I was actually just getting ready to add a post in the a draft prospects addressing the "What OL Prospect should GB fans know for Day1?"

Honestly, I could easily see this happening and some quick names to know:

Kelvin Banks (shouldn't be there for us)
Armand Membou Mizzou
Josh Conerly Oregon
Aireontae Ersery (shouldn't fall to us either)
Wyatt Milum
Marcus Mbow
Grey Zabel

Love just doesnt use his feet enough to get out of trouble, the other top QB seem to see the trouble coming and scamper for the first down...its just a back breaker for the defense. In playoff football QB have to extend drives using their legs. I believe Love overall just doesnt see or feel the field well...that intangible may never be there.

I can't deny that I was pleased to see the Lions lose yesterday, but I think I hate the Eagles even more. Normally I hate division rivals more than anyone, but I was almost willing to give Detroit a pass since their history as been so dismal in the Super Bowl era. Almost. Anyone but the Chiefs at this point.
