Aaron Nagler (love or hate I know) has only Hill listed as PUP listed as well. Crosby status is quite unknown it seems by even "insiders". I texted my buddy and while he hinted an interesting tidbit he said he wasn't aware of any decision on Crosby had been made yet...which seemed to me to mean he is on PUP and they haven't made a decision to activate. I was gonna ask him for clarity but I hate to wear out my welcome.

*the tidbit piece is that GB has been in some trade discussions today. He hinted at what player but didn't directly say so I won't speculate.
Nags has an " in" big time

Free 12 of Leinies coming my way tomorrow thanks to Samori Toure.

The guy doesn't work tomorrow so I just hope we don't pick somebody up and cut Toure before I can collect.

Of course he did make the team so I should be able to collect.

They may slide him over to the PS, but it is obvious, the Packers didn't want to risk losing him.

In my opinion it was most surprising that the Packers kept Ford over Heflin on the defensive line and keeping only two running backs on the 53. With that being said, it will be interesting to see if the team will make any moves today.

Imagine if they cut Mason and kept Ahmed. Someone would have to tie down Captain to contain his excitement.

Actually I wouldn't be excited if the Packers moved on from Crosby. I wasn't impressed with any of the challengers being brought in this offseason although it seems Ahmed was at least the best of the group. Hopefully he will make it to the practice squad.

I am guessing that they really like what they saw from Jonathan Ford and they knew what they had in Heflin. Given that, they must see a higher ceiling for Ford. Heflin wasn't going to start and they have first round pick Wyatt and Slayton to rotate in behind Lowery, Clark and Reed. This DL is the best (on paper) that the Packers have had in a long time. I wouldn't mind seeing Heflin picked back up for the PS, but I won't be sad if another team gets him.

Spotrac shows about $8m cap space before the PS. About $24.5m burned in dead cap, almost half on Z smith alone.

I'll be adding this to the OP as well, honestly a cool discussion is of the 19 we released and 6 waived with injuries....do we resign more or less than 13 of those same guys back?

I predict we will pick up minimum four new faces I think.

We already have a shake up from our initial 53.

Rudy Ford is being signed to our 53 today. Former Safety from the Jaguars is coming to town...which signals someone is getting released.

I didn't know if you were coming back after being cut yesterday :) So take it away on the PS signings.

I predict that we sign 12-14 of the guys released yesterday. Just don't ask me for a list just yet. :)
