Add Falcons in the seat of needing a QB...if they don't do it with that HIGH pick they have they might want back up in the later first.

Lots of scouts watching Pitts QB Kenny Pickett pro day just now. He looked pretty good.

Kenny has been my QB1 for months, since about December before bowl games. Dude is the most ready day 1 QB this draft...now sure in many classes that might have him at QB2 or QB3 but for me he is the best of this year. Malik may have the higher ceiling due to his mobility but with that comes a risk as well.

The NFL Network guys agree with you and he looked really good. I'm fine with him, Malik, Corral, Howell, Strong, Ridder and anymore...ALL being gone before #22 or at least #28.

It is funny, depending on the simulator you run, I have seen as few as 0 QB's in round 1 and as many as 4.

Regarding our WR position

Let MVS walk, don't overpay him

Sign both Julio Jones and AJ Green, let them lean the scheme. Draft a WR in round 1

There’s always Jordan Love. Do they have any 1st rounders to deal. I hear he’s the best QB since sliced bread, just a smidgeling under Deshaun Watson and with far less civil discord :coffee:

With Ryan being traded to the Colts, I give it better than even money that Julio Jones ends up there with him.

*beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep* "Hey Jenny.....Gute here. We have a bargain going on Jordan Love. Since you have 4 picks in the top 75 and are in desperate need of a top QB, we would be willing to part with Jordan for your #8, #43 and since you will need the rest, throw in your first rounder in 2023. We just took a vote and along with Jordan, we will send you one of our top scouts, he is Old School, but you will like him....give me a call....the Lions are next on my list to call."

Hell I had that locked up after 500 posts.

You have me confused with “Twiddlemylobes”

Ahhhh!! That photo was a “dare” from a dear friend. He told me it was progressive costume party!
I would’ve never have done it had I know I was being setup!
I couldn't believe your next costume!

AJ Green is a legit veteran to consider after Julio. He surprised me in Arizona as well as he did and showed he was healthy again.
Agreed. There is a decent number of older vets, that at the top of their game were pretty elite. If they can afford to, I would love to see the Packers sign 2 of them. Cobb and Amari rotating in the slot and your rookie first rounder, as well as Lazard coming in on various downs.

At this juncture he’d be a very welcome addition

His injury I think takes the WR1 pick from him, but just barely if it does. I think Drake London or Garret Wilson plucks that pedestal. The order the top 5 WRs go in is VERY interesting!
I'm looking long term, which is how you gave to look at prospects.

He'll be back by October apparently, but that means year 1 is minimal impact.

Heck, go Williams and Watson back to back :)

In normal year I’d agree and Williams may go higher on my board however we need a WR or two drafted that from minicamps on can be participants because more than likely the top WR we draft is getting substantial snaps in year one.

Now if we drafted a second WR as a future prospect that is injured I’m more likely to support such a move this year and most years truthfully

Which is why the Packers will get out of Round 1 with both Olave and Williams. :D

I doubt that happens, but if they don't land a quality FA WR between now and the draft, I could see them using 2 of their first 4 picks on WR's.

I need to watch more WR film, but right now, I am enamored by Treylon Burks. Love his size, hands and deceptive speed.

Nothing in Gute's character makeup or history suggests he will do anything but draft long term.

He tends to address "needs" like crazy in the middle and later rounds, and hopes someone hits.

Still, with 4 picks in the first 2 rounds, you know at least 1 will be a WR.

I'm also expecting an OT in there, but I haven't really looked at any Tackles yet.

Let's hope for the latter possibility.

Hopefully all these QBs go early, and push the real blue chippers down towards us.

Saves GB the trouble of moving up and losing draft picks.

However, if these QBs were to go early, why not see which team would pay a premium for Jordan Love?

Would a desperate team like Atlanta trade their #10 pick for Love (plus a draft pick)?

If #22 or #28 remain unmoved, then securing three (1st) round picks would be ideal.
