I actually thought Michael ran pretty well
I agree. Michael was running with authority when he got the ball. I hope they utilize him much more against the Cowpies.

Michael was running better than Ty yesterday. I think he'll get more carries next Sunday.

Hopefully it happens but they need a legit run game for them to at least make the pass game 100% reliable

The Packers scored 38 points against the second ranked scoring defense yesterday while rushing for only 75 yards on 25 attempte yesterday. The offense should be fine even if the running game struggles. It will be essential to contain the Cowboys rushing attack though.

We should wait until we get actual confirmation but I wouldn't be surprised if that's the case. Maybe it's just bruised ribs and he'll be able to play in Houston :sneaky:

I was disappointed with the play selection yesterday, whether it was MM's calls or AR changing the calls on the line. I think that at one point in the first half they flashed something like a 18 pass / 4 run statistic. We ended up with 44 pass attempts against 17 rushing attempts - of course five of those were sacks on passing downs. It unbelievable the difference between how our offensive line pass blocks to near perfection, and run blocks to mediocrity. The 2007 and 2011 playoff teams could not run the ball either. The 2016 team has at times, but we need to commit to it in order to pull out the big games.

The Packers finished the game with 25 rush attempts but only gained 75 yards. There's no reason to continue to run the ball just for the sake of doing it as long as Rodgers is on fire.

That report came from a doctor who watched the play. We honestly no nothing for sure until the Packers release a statement. Jordy is most likely still in the hospital.

You're correct. I looked at the wrong side of the stat sheet. NY had 17 attempts. I still don't think we tried hard enough to run the ball in the first half. Rodgers was not on fire until the second half. It's not just for the sake of doing it.

Inactives from the Giants game: CB Quinten Rollins (neck, concussion), RB James Starks (concussion), QB Joe Callahan, WR Trevor Davis, T Kyle Murphy, LB Jayrone Elliott, DT Christian Ringo

Most of our inactives from yesterday are understood. It would be nice if Starks was healthy for Dallas if needed but am more wondering if Trevor Davis is going to get the call-up with Nelson likely out. Three catches on seven targets this season for 24 yards is kind of pitiful. I'm not thinking that he has much to offer, but the kid needs to figure it out and help where he can during the playoff run.

cowboys "momentum" could be reset with their bye. this could be detrimental in their performance and it could cost them this game and fall apart for Dak this Sunday. This is a rookie QB that never experienced playing in the playoffs and he doesn't know what to expect. He might try too much and try too hard causing him to make many blunders, especially in front of his home fans and a 'one and done' scenario. They are starting out cold while our team is still running on a full tank of momentum. Especially after yesterday's miraculous performance. Hopefully that is the case. Aaron and the guys are hungry and this could be his last chance at realistically getting a ring.

Hopefully we put pressure on presscot and make him panic. this rookie QB is going to have a lot of pressure on him from all angles.

I don't see Davis getting activated when we still have Cobb, Davante, Cook, Geronimo, Ty and Janis.

Logically, Davis is next man up. However and I know people will "boo" me on this. If Jordy's season is over, I would not be opposed to seeing if James Jones is in shape and wants to make another Super Bowl run with the Packers. Given his familiarity with AR and the Packers, I would prefer him over Davis at this point. Yup, he is old and slow, but just maybe, the kind of guy you can count on to make the clutch catches on 3rd and 4th downs.

With Ty getting most of his snaps at the RB position, I don't see the Packers wanting to mess with moving him back to WR. That leaves Janis or Davis to get take Jordy's snaps. As I said above, In James Jones I trust. :D

agree not really feeling confidence in davis right now. I really wanted him to succeed but I think he will be in another abby situation. that's too bad, I really liked abby too.

I was thinking about jones just the other day that if we needed a RB we could use him. ok it was slightly on a humorous side but do wonder if he could come back if Nelson is out. would love him to return!

True, but the running game didn't produce any positive plays early in the game either.

I expect Allison to receive more snaps vs. the Cowboys if Nelson isn't able to play. Davis might be activated but I don't expect him to have a major impact.

Most definitely Allison will be seeing more snaps. Forgot to include him in that conversation and thanks for reminding me about him LOL. Not sure how many targets he had yesterday, but only 1 catch. My comment on James Jones is somewhat tongue and cheek, but I just don't see Davis or even Janis as being those guys you can rely on at this point, especially if another starter goes down. Hate even mentioning THAT part, but history has supported keeping that in mind.

Allison was targeted only twice during yesterday's game. I'm sorry to break it to you but I don't believe there's even a slim chance the Packers think about bringing in Jones for the stretch run.

Yesterday's offensive snap-count against NYG ~ Christine Michaels (14), Janis (16), Richard Rogers (25), Ripkowski (25), Allison (41), Ty Mont (41), Cook (49), Cobb (55), Adams (70). http://www.pro-football-reference.com/boxscores/201701080gnb.htm#all_vis_snap_counts

I think rather than diluting snaps with Davis (or JJ or other) that MM will redistribute between double TE sets and more double back sets (Rip/Ty, Ty/Michaels). Plenty of mismatches and run/pass options without needing a 5/6th WR available.

Thanks man. Was a good game. Actually with the way it started, I thought we might be in big trouble. Off day for your WR's and Eli and our offense eventually figured out that great defense of yours, but when you have AR behind center, that can happen. ;)

BTW, OBJ owes, $148 for the hole in the wall, where do we send the bill?
