What will everyone say about Capers, the Defense, guys not belonging in the NFL, Past failures etc etc. if we win the Super Bowl?

Then he greatest thing since sliced bread..... The Packers are older than sliced bread... by 9 years!

I must confess that as the game gets closer I'm beginning to grow more and more nervous about this game. I was so set that the Pack would win and I still think they will but Dallas just scares me and I'm not so sure the Pack can stop them. I was way more confident when we played the Giants but IMO the Cowboys are a better all around team than the Giants. BUT I just can't see the Pack's season coming to an end now. Too much momentum, too much riding on "run the table". I want Aaron to get another ring soooo bad. Especially this year since it seems like the media, talking heads and former players have been dumping a lot of crap on him this year. I'm so torn about this game lol.

Was at restaurant and they had the first Packer Cowboy game playing. It was a terrible game but there were reasons for optimism and pessimism.

Optimism
1. The offense moved the ball quite well from 20 to 20 even with Rodgers playing a terrible game - int in Cowboys territory, fumble at the 3 yard line.
2. Dallas' pass defense is incredibly vulnerable and their pass rush was not getting to Rodgers most of the game.

To be fair there are two reasons for pessimism that I see
1. Dallas turned it over twice and still crushed us
2. Dallas moved the ball at will without dez

We also turned the ball over 4 times, so it's not like we won the turnover battle and got crushed. But yes, their ability to move the ball on us in the first meeting has to be the main concern. From the opening drive when they jammed it down our throats, you could tell our D was in trouble. I'm hoping we'll have a little more success on that end, but that's more of a hope than an expectation. I expect our offense to be much better. Rodgers' body language in that game was terrible. Even on our first drive. He's seems to be in a much better place now, mentally, and obviously he's performing at an incredibly high level. Still thinking this one is 50/50.

Rodgers body language was terrible. I think if we win the turnover battle we have a great shot. I am also trying to figure out the threshold for holding down zeke. Would under 120 do it? Or is under 100 the target? If he is simple kept to have a good not great game I think that bodes well for us

Our D has only allowed 3 100-yard rushers all season, and one of those (DeMarco Murray) got 75 of his 120 yards on one carry. Of course, Elliott lit us up for 157. We lost all three of those games (DAL, @TEN, @WAS).

Our run D was excellent in the Giants win last week. If we can hold Elliot under 100 (tough task!) I'll feel very good about our chances. That is, of course, if our pass D can hold up, which is a whole different beast.

We used to face a team up in Minnesota where the constant concern each game was Adrian Peterson and what he would do to us and "how many yards we needed to hold him to". The Packers have gone 10 - 6 -1 against the Vikings when AP has played and AP has managed to average a little over 120 yds/game (rushing and receiving) with 14 TD's (13 rushing, 1 receiving) in those games. So yes, a guy like Zeke is probably going to get his yards, the key is not to let those yards hurt you too much by focusing too much attention on him.

The key to not letting the Cowboys put another 30 on the board like they did last time, don't let Zeke rip off any long runs, but more importantly, don't let Dak gain some confidence and start picking our linebackers and secondary apart.

I also agree with most of the posters here, turnovers may decide this game. We lost that stat (4-2) in the last game, we can't repeat that and expect to win.

I'm hearing things from some of you guys like "Dak is like a golfer on a hot streak whom hasn't faced his demons or bad swing, ETC"... Or, "We beat the Giants badly and you lost by a total of 4 points in two games to them so the pack has the advantage"....

Looks to me like some of you are grasping at unrealistic straws here... For one thing, Dak has had some stinker games and came back stronger than ever and improved. Also, the giants are in the Cowboys division and are built on defense to matchup well with the Cowboys Oline. The Giants have the type of players they do so that they are equipped to handle slower leverage type players like the boys employ. Also, we all know it's a team game, the Cowboys success isn't just riding on Dak, just as the Packers hopefully are solely reliant on Rodgers.

I know most of you guys know football and it's a game of matchups at the end of the day. Both teams have great players and as good as Aaron Rodgers is and or playing, that does not give them the decided edge. It comes down to strength on strength in this contest. Rodgers will be a challenge, just like Zeke will be for the Packers...

I think we can all agree, may the best team on Sunday win.. It's fun to discuss football and it's great that the teams are close enough in talent for it to be a very interesting game. At the end of the day, this is a team that my cowboys should beat but there are no guarantees in the NFL. And before you say "why should the cowboys win?"- Let me just say because in the last matchup, you guys got smoked at Lambau without our best receiver playing! That kind of negates Rodgers playing poorly in my opinion. Also, this time around the Cowboys are at home and have rest and a healthy team. As Rodgers goes, the Packers go, there is no room for error... I believe Rodgers will play well, but I also believe that your undersized D has no chance to contain our running game... Advantage Cowboys..

Packers add Damarious Randall to injury report with a foot injury, listed as questionable.

No offense Johneric 8, but you are after all in a Packer Forum. It seems like your expectations of Packer fans, people who spend quite a bit of time here and know quite a bit about the Packers, are skewed. Your posts make it sound like you are butt hurt over hearing positives about the Packers and Negatives about the Cowboys. What did you expect? If you are looking for unbiased opinions, maybe another site will be more pleasing to you?

I took one look at a Cowboy fan sight, first post was all I needed to read to know I was done.

So tired of hearing about how great Aaron Rodgers is all week and how he is playing the best football BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH !!!!!! Its a new day

This is playoff football time and bottom line !

To Hell with Aaron Rodgers there won't be any lucky Hail Mary's this week !!!!!!!

Time to Deflate Aaron Rodgers Big Head and Shatter Packer fans Dreams. Yes you beat the Giants D and honestly that was a great job. But let's put some things into perspective, there is no 5 degrees and home field helping you out, Your D is not facing a team that scores under 20 PPG, Your team is not facing a team without a running game or a turnstile offensive line. You may not want to look inward but your team is not the same team when you play at home, the media has you guys gassed up but no worries Sunday it will all be put into proper perspective.

Say Hello to the boys who are ready for you Mr. Rodgers this sunday !

No offense taken at all, I'm just trying to be realistic.. You know how it is, you go over to another forum and your hear confuted discussions going on that makes no sense... If we were playing a truly better team I would be singing a different tune. It's going to take an upset for the pack to win, but I'm hopeful for a great game. I will be back to either congratulate you guys or discuss what went wrong. Peace.

I think both teams have improved quite a bit since that game and once the game starts none of what happened on October 16th has any relevance.

Ultimately it comes down to what team can play their style. Can Dallas done what they've done for most this season which is control the clock, the line of scrimmage, mistake free football, and take advantage of matchups in the secondary? Can Green Bay get off to the quick start, put some early TD's on the board, and make Dallas play catchup?

I think they're good reasons to pick both teams. Wish you guys and your team luck. It'll be a heck of a football game.

Which "truly better" team would worry you more? While the Packers winning tomorrow might appear to be an "upset" to most of the Cowboy fans, it will just be another game and another team to beat on their way to the Super Bowl for the Packers.

In fairness, you said the last part yesterday John. I get that you think your team will beat us, you wouldn`t be a loyal fan if you didn`t and I applaud you, but as one of our guys pointed out in the thread, THIS is a playoff game. Nerves will get to players. YOUR QB hasn`t played in a playoff game, OURS has. If you make bad choices or mistakes in a game of this magnitude it`s as good as over. We`d be stupid if we realistically thought this game will be a cakewalk, but you are setting yourself up for a bit of a shock. THIS is a different team from when you played us early in the season.
