It’s been a long, hard road. Was a season ticket holder in the 90’s. Finally bought in again last year. It’s surreal to see what they’re doing now.

Love should have been sat. That said, the season ain’t over. I think the Pack will be in the mix.
I actually rooted for you guys to win in the Playoffs, and you got cheated

Well I’m 68 and I care LOL we’re 6-3 and halfway through a season so a lot of football left to play
I don't argue what you're saying AK. But this team is just too discombobulated to be a serious contender. There are no excuses they're just not good enough especially in the big spots. They've lost it a good team they played they lost at home in bad weather they lost everywhere against good teams. They struggle with bad teams they struggle with bad teams missing half their freaking starters. They can't get out of their own way. Not a real contender.

Hey guys - first of all I have to apologize that I didn't write an introduction here at this forum, I promise I will get that done soon. I intended to write one before making my first post here, but this game today made me change my plans

(And of course, what almost every german uses to state at the beginning of a conversation in english: sorry for my poor english, I try to do my very best to get my thoughts to an understandable level ;o)).

I am a little bit kind of shocked what we have to witness today and as so many of you I also do not understand all these seemingly simple mistakes. JL's decision making is underground bad today, all these penalties are killing the entire game and as if this is not enough we have to encounter so many other things like poor snaps and of course all that against an opponent that ist clearly one of the play off candidates and favourites. The lions built up a team that is able to punish every single mistake. And as a kind of maximum punishment they scored twice on fourth down today. That is hard to watch to be honest.

But on the other hand - please do not forget: the Packers are again the youngest roster in NFL (as well as last season if I get it right). Last season they overperformed in my opinion, but this is so typical for a young team after having a sensational season. The second season ist so often way harder to perform and convince people than the first one. They still have many miles to go to be a reliable top team. I know that the NFL is kind of a snakepit, talent is not an excuse for poor performances and expectations are as high as the salaries - but sometimes (especially with young players) that simply doesn't work and they need time to grow.

With regard to the remaining schedule this season I expect the packers to finish the regular season perhaps with a 10-7, don't know if that might be sufficient for the play offs. But perhaps the team teaches me better and to be honest - there are many teams this year in the NFC not performing very well (except the NFC NOrth ;o)).

This season might be a tough one, but things aren't over yet. Another second half like last season and we are back in.

There is a lot of talent in this team, they might not have time till eternity, but I believe that next season will be the indicator if this team will establish as a top team or not.

Cheers guys, lets hope they use the bye week to improve some things in discipline and snaps.

(I am going to start my introduction now ;o)).

I think what's frustrating is that they seemed to have taken a step backward with regard to last year. Even though we have a better record this year (so far).

In closing this was a home grown a**s whooping, this was a black and blue division beat down, and I am still not sold on Love yet, he has got to stop being so reckless, MLF you have a power running back, but you choose the high percentage plays, give another coach a shot at play calling if its not you, relieve that coach, this division is not as weak as it use to be with Packer dominance, turn this around before its gets out of control

Yeah, I totally understand that. But as I said - that might be a tribute to the low average age of the roster especially after having such a phenomenal season as last year. Of course - sometimes some younger guys are able to maintain such a high quality, but in professional sports it is not unusual that especially young teams struggle to keep the high quality in the second season. Expectations (selfmade and external), perhaps too high self-consciousness, huge contracts and all that stuff - that is what a young team has to deal with. In my opinion this huge amount of "easy mistakes" is a clear indicator that this team has to find the way back to themselves. There are still plays where we can see that there is great quality in this team. JL has to overcome his injury and clear his mind as he is of course a key factor for the teams success.

There is a proverb in Germany that says that "becoming successful is much easier than staying successful". That is already hard for experienced people. And even more for unexperienced teams.

As I said - I expect this season to get hard for these guys, reduce mistakes, face all the expectations, do not get crushed by losses and mistakes... that might be a tough school for this team this year.

I expect the record this year to be something like 10-7, perhaps 9-8. Everything better would be a bonus (just imho).

Btw - I just started watching Colts - Vikings... at the moment that seems to become a turnover festival :D

I guess I'm a little more optimistic, their two toughest games remaining are the Vikings and Detroit, both on the road. They have the Bears twice, 49ers at home, Dolphins. Saints, and the Seachickens in Seattle. I think 5-3 is is in the realm of possibility, putting them at 11-6, and possibly even 6-2. (12-5)

This was bad home loss, I'm not going to be happy about the garbage time TD. This was a bad day for everyone who loves the Packers. I don't need a different "Stud and Duds" thread, there were no GBP studs for me today. I wasn't expecting us to set the world on fire today, but this was a VERY bad game. IDK if our QB was "hurt", so is just about every other person that plays professional football, if he was worth $55 million a year, I don't see it. Is any QB that makes that much play worse? Do they have 10 interceptions? And has missed 2+ games? The question being that is this team getting a very good return ($210 million) on the investment? Those are questions that need to be answered.
I can’t argue with you. Worse yet we forced and injured QB to play in the worst possible conditions. We took our Star QB and forcibly extended his injuries and aggravated an already bad situation. In process we looked awful doing it nearly to the point of losing our identity. We’re definitely not well coached and Brady was right. We’re very undisciplined and it starts at the top. We were in total desperation mode in this one.

Of course - I would also take that without any doubt. Perhaps the team teaches me better ;)

I'm not buying that it was a 'beat down'. Solid efficient win by Detroit buoyed by Green Bay's knack for shooting themselves in the foot? Yep.. However if (and that is a big if now 9 games into the season) they can just stop doing stupid things then I'm not at a point of thinking they can't be competitive on the field with Detroit or any team. 2023 at Lambeau I'd qualify as a beat down.

The only thing I see is a VERY undisciplined team. 10 penalties in first 3qtrs is not sustainable. This is becoming a common theme which means it’s not being addressed or they don’t think it’s problem. Too late in the season for excuses. Own it and put a microscope on it. If that doesn’t work to teach players start to bench them. It’ll hurt now but it’ll change our long term look.
Especially at home. A lot of these penalties are ripe when you play in a loud dome in Minny or Detroit. I believe the pressure of the big game with the big opponent had an effect on us. The kids are just not ready for the big stage. Except for the last play win against Houston our victories are against not so good teams.

Detroit may well be the best team in the league today, certainly in the NFC. Green Bay is in the group just below that echelon. MN, SF. Philly, WA, Atl. I personally do not “buy” MN, ditto Atl, and WA I think is overperforming early so they could “prove up”. Oh yeah - AZ? … no. To me its Philly, SF and GB chasing Detroit. So who is going to improve the most between now and Feb…. And will they improve enough?
We are fully capable (although I said coming into 2024 we were probably a year out from our best shot). Bottom line? Good time to be a Packer fan
