This would be a huge, huge win for the good guys. If we get the W, I think 13-3 is a real possibility.
I agree. I think it will be a lot more like last year's regular season matchup between our teams. It's too early to make a fair evaluation of the direction the Packers defense is headed in as the unit held the Seahawks to only 10 points last season as well but struggled mightily against better offenses. Entering the season I expected the team to only lose at Atlanta before the bye week and haven't changed my mind about it based on week 1. It will be a closer game than last year's NFCCG though.
I agree with you on all 3 reasons. I don't think your D line is as good as Chicago's and the home field turf should be an advantage for us. That being said, your offense is obviously a bigger threat than Chicago. I think something like 30-28 is what we're looking at. Somebody on either defense has to make a critical play and that will likely determine the outcome.I'm expecting a win I think the Falcons came out a little slow for 3 reasons against the Bears. The grass, they probably were looking ahead to this week, and new OC. I expect a much more spirited performance by their offense this week back on turf and opening a new stadium. I think our defense is much more up to the task now that everyone is healthy. it doesn't mean I think we're going to shut them out. But I am not going to be surprised when we win either.
The matchup in Green Bay on Sunday, January 21st is the more important game between GB & Atl... this week is a tune-up.Right. I could make an argument that these first 2 games of the season are the Packers most critical games. If they beat us on Sunday, they own tiebreakers on BOTH Atlanta and Seattle which would be huge for them. Atlanta, Green Bay, and Seattle all have one thing in common and that's that they are far more dangerous at home and not the same team on the road. Home field advantage is pretty key for these 3 teams.
No way! The Packers will have to score 35 points to win this game. Seriously. This would be a huge, huge win for the good guys. If we get the W, I think 13-3 is a real possibility.
I clearly sense your enduring and dedicated optimism for our Defensive resurgence! No way! The Packers will have to score 35 points to win this game. Seriously.
Bro, I'm talking about their final record, not the game score being 13-3.No way! The Packers will have to score 35 points to win this game. Seriously.
I don't know about that. I could actually see this game being more like a 27-24 type game. Offenses won't be clicking that well this early in the season. No way! The Packers will have to score 35 points to win this game. Seriously.
IF our front 7 comes out and does puts the same pressure on ryan as they did wilson, i'd say it would be a much better match than our previous match-ups. I have a feeling this front 7 is going to be legit.
It will be much tougher for the Packers' front seven to create pressure on Ryan though as the Falcons' offensive line is significantly better than Seattle's.
Well here's to hoping it takes the Falcons at least one week longer than it takes the Packers lol.I also think it's going to take 4-5 weeks till these offenses get going like they have the potential for. It takes reps, it takes game speed, and it takes some coaching in between before they hit their stride.

I bet Bakh plays, but I wouldn't be surprised if Bulaga sits out again.
