Have any other teams been fined for COVID violations earlier this season?
Yes, in 2020 Baltimore was fined $250K, NE & Tennessee were fined $350K, Vegas was fined $500K & lost a 6th rounder in '21, and NO was fined $500k & lost a 7th. Only other player fines that I found in quick Google search were Dwayne Haskins $40K in Dec. '20, Isaiah McKenzie & Cole Beasley $14,650 each in August '21.

Also found (from June '21): Dallas was fined $100,000, coach Mike McCarthy was docked $50,000, and one of the team’s organized team activity (OTA) practices in 2022 is forfeited. Jacksonville Jaguars and San Francisco 49ers were the others found in violation of spring practice rules, and their punishments were more severe. Like the Cowboys, the Niners drew a $100,000 charge, and coach Kyle Shanahan lost $50,000. But they were forced to cancel their entire final week of OTAs last month. Worse yet, the Jaguars were fined $200,000, coach Urban Meyer was punished $100,000, and the club must forfeit two of its three opening-week OTA practices in 2022.

Then I don't have a problem with the league here. It is rather humorous how some think we got a slap on the wrist. It appears we got the same punishment as other teams have.

I was one of those who thought it was a slap on the wrist, at least from a monetary standpoint for Rodgers and The Packers, maybe not Lazard.

I also admit that I was biased and was taking more into consideration than maybe what the NFL did. If the fine was just for the Halloween party, as you point out, seems consistent with what they did with other teams.

On a positive note, Jordan Love getting all of the reps in practice this week is a good thing. Much better than just running the scout team.
I was thinking about that too on Monday. Not just him getting the reps with the first unit, but being able to work with them, right after the game while the mistakes (and positives) are fresh in everyone's minds. People are saying "he got reps in Preseason". First, preseason is not like regular season and in Preseason, he got game reps with mostly backups.

Speaking of gas prices...man
When you look at it with tunnel vision and blinders on at the same time, yes. I will let you do the work, but once again, you should educate yourself and not just go off of soundbites that you may hear on TV.

I am very aware of what is going on and about our economy that is in a stagflation right now. My reply to Krab was in gist. So please don't tell anyone to educate themselves and imply what you think they know or don't.

But what are they doing now? Do they have field reps whose only job is to go around an play traffic cop? Are they going to publish a list of Halloween parties? I believe the NFL did this simply because Rodgers was not vaccinated. Had he been they never would have looked into the matter.

It had nothing to do with Rodgers not being vaccinated. You are looking for excuses that frankly aren't there. The NFL acted well within the rules that were laid out. They found Rodgers and Lazard as well as the Packers in noncompliance and fined them. How hard is that to accept? I believe either player had the option to opt out of the season if they didn't want to follow the rules, they didn't.

If we have learned anything in following the league and not only this one is that they can be " selective " and they also believe they are profoundly right ALL the time. Well they are not. They play to the prevailing wind. They succumb to the loudest trend. If Rodgers never got COVID they never would have investigated. And I will never be convinced to the contrary. If they want to do this correctly do it like we do in the business world. Employ an auditing firm that goes to each team facility every two weeks and performs a comprehensive review throughout the season. Then you can document not only violations but promote best practices. Reward teams that meet or exceed the grade. Do not just treat them like children.

OK....see in your last post you blamed it on Rodgers not being vaccinated. Which one is it?

Again, the players agree to the league rules which are also negotiated with the Players association. Rodgers didn't have to agree to them, he could have quit or even opted out for a year.

I am sure that if the Rodgers or Lazard agree with you, they will surely file a grievance with the NFLPA. Packers would probably file theirs with the NFL. I guess we will see how it plays out.

The whole outrage was about whether he was vaccinated or not. Then majority of the people realized he broke no mandates or obligations with vaccinations. Then the outrage turned to, "but but but he lied...OMG HE LIED...how dare he lie to me about what he puts in his body...OMG!" Now it's an argument about if the fine was justified. LOL

This is too funny!

Either way he is being singled out not just because of who he is but because of his personal beliefs. That is the bottom line. And those beliefs are not in line with what the NFL believes. The best example is the road they took in regard to kneeling during the anthem. If certain active players made an issue out of it I am sure they would have made the necessary repercussions.

They have to fine him NOW. Because somebody told the NFL that it was not properly policing the Packers who were not properly policing Rodgers. It is called CYA. Nobody catches Rodgers then no one gets fined. And you know who caught Rodgers? The COVID monster. And when the COVID monster turned him in he yelled to the highest heavens. " Rodgers Is NOT vaccinated! "....oh

Today I believe is the day they have to activate Bahk to the roster or lose him for the year. He was practicing, so I expect it is happening.

Injury report isn't too bad. Stokes was doing things inside, but didn't practice outside.

And if Rodgers plays a bad 1st quarter MLF can always reinsert Love.

This will only happen if Rodgers is struggling with his health, and NOT if he is playing bad. Bad Rodgers is still better than Love.
