I read an article finally, and while i'm no huge fan of Davis, I have to say, this thing is dumb. The best thing to come out of it, will be some teammates having fun with him later. People are making this into far more than it needs to be. Seriously, they ASKED him if he had anything like aerosols knives or explosives. ******* dumb to start with. I'm so sarcastic, my mouth might have said they same thing. "ahh, no, i must have forgotten the knives and bombs at home" but thanks for reminding me. He probably didn't have the best reply, and everyone is going to have fun with this making fun of his intelligence. But i know too many people who have said that or worse, myself included to draw too many conclusions from what appears to have actually happened.
Regardless, I couldn't imagine there being many individuals on a daily basis that are arrested for making these types of comments. You have to be aware of where you are and speak/act accordingly.

If ~99% of the population can manage to avoid getting arrested for this, surely it isn't a very difficult concept to grasp.

Not going to give him a pass here, but also not going to condemn him. It was stupid and hopefully he'll learn from it.

Obviously you shouldn't joke about explosives at the airport, but getting arrested for a sarcastic comment is completely ridiculous. They couldn't have just barred him from boarding or searched his luggage again?

That's true, but sometimes stupid stuff just needs to be confronted with stupid stuff. Thank goodness for that level of security at airports right? 99% of the population probably thinks to themselves, "what a stupid question" and says a response similar to this in their heads, we probably shouldn't be surprised when it slips past somebody's filter either.

We keep moving towards zero tolerance regarding anything, and it's creating society that can't deal with anything. Arrested for making a "bomb threat" lol.

I agree completely... however the question of Davis' intelligence has been brought up before... and I actually have some first hand corroboration that I'd prefer not to elaborate on. He has decent talent and speed, but I doubt he will ever fully grasp the playbook.

I'm 100% okay with them asking what you would deem as a "dumb question" if there's even a remote possibility of preventing another terrorist attack.

Lots of people are ok with it. They love facades that help them feel safe. I'm not such a fan. Unless of course the ticket lady was a trained psychological evaluator and part of a larger security detail, then I could see some odd questions being asked. But then she needs to go back to training if she actually thought Davis was making anything other than a sarcastic remark

So we should expect to see him wearing the #83 Jersey this year? ;)

"Yes Mr/Miss TSA agent, I have a bundle of explosives wired to a detonator in my packed luggage. I plan to detonate it when we hit cruising altitude." Of course, "Are you carrying explosives?" is a dumb question. Let's ask @buggybill2003 when he gets off of work from the airport if he has ever dealt with this type of idiocy.

Not to start an entire thread on airport security, but I don't think security is there just to make us all feel safe, as much as they are there to make a terrorist feel unsafe. The person asking the questions isn't always the only person looking you over. The screening process varies for a reason, they don't want people to be able to plan for one way.

Anytime I go through security, I thank the people doing it, can't be a fun job and with the amount of mass shootings over the last so many years in the world, I only see security getting tighter.

Strangely enough we do get idiots quite often saying stupid things like they have a gun in their bag or a hand grenade then get surprised when they get arrested. Most times its because they get stupidly nervous and THINK its funny. They dont realise they have committed a criminal offence

Maybe 'stupid' is a little too strong of word, but have you seen him as a punt returner? Fielding punts deep in his territory or even the end zone, making fair catches with no one around him, things like that.

The physical skills are definitely there but the football IQ is very lacking.

If Davis ever starts playing well, he could really ignite the Packer offense!
Yeah quite possible but once a ***** always a ***** lol I’d say the only for sure bets right now are Cobb Adams and unless gets outplayed Allison other than that we need some depth we need a good outside receiver

Airport security saving our sky one half drank water bottle at a time. Lol this is a joke. throw him in a room for a few hours to teach him a lesson. Arresting someone for being a smart *** is pretty dumb.
