Lol!! Hey!! Just said I would like too see it!! A guy can wish can’t he!!

I think many of us have been trying to figure out things to do with Cobb and that big contract for months now. Not sure if the Packers have as well, but given our lack of depth behind Cobb and his expensive one year price tag for another team, I don't think his trade value is very high, if one even exists. Just like Jordy, he will be snapped up if released by Green Bay, at a reduced contract. However, unless the Packers sign a guy like Jordan Matthews or find a starting slot WR in the draft, I don't see them being able to get out from underneath Cobb at the moment.

Rotoworld blurbed that the Packers are a possible landing spot for Breeland and that they still have interest. That would be cool!
If the Packers sign Breeland and Jordan Matthews, I will consider the Free Agency period a success.

Really would like to enter the draft without "needing" an immediate starter to emerge from it. Maybe Allison, Davis, Clark or Yancy will step up at WR, but there again, I don't want to have to count on it.

That’s it man. Put yourself in a position where you don’t have to do anything.

Especially at CB. We saw that in 2015 with the drafting of Randall and Rollins and then again last year with King. Bring your rookies in without the added pressure of having to be completely relied on their rookie season.

It would be ideal to draft an edge high so said player and Biegel could develop for a season behind Matthews and Perry.

For Depth!!!

What kind of depth at WR would you gain if you trade one for another. Depth at the slot position at the cost of depth on the outside plus Coleman is a lot cheaper. I'm not sure the Browns can be counted on to be that stupid any more.

I mean I thought you were crazy when you had so much faith in Martinez and possibly even Ryan but the fact you think maybe Biegel is going to develop into anything says about all I need to know.

Not sure what I would consider a success. If they were certainly in on all the talks it seems to me that they could have certainly done better from an all around standpoint. But the players we got and some of the prices we ended up with you have to say that it was a better all around offseason pre draft than Teddy ever had. The big moment though is yet to come 3 weeks from now.

Would be ideal if Biegel wasn't even on the roster but I don't think we will draft that good.

Wow. Wasn’t expecting the agro response for the mere suggestion that Biegel might develop.

Biegel is talented. He missed most of the season with injury, but when he saw the field he flashed. I believe that he can develop at least into a good rotational edge player.

If that and saying that Martinez is “solidly above average” is too much for you, then I’m sorry. I sincerely hope you’ll be able to get over it.

The 'wish list' for me; 2 out of 3 of Breaux, Breeland and DRC; Matthews or another vet WR, and the FA guard from the Colts(drawing a blank on his name).

I would be excited about the Packers signing two out of cornerbacks you mentioned. The team most likely wouldn't have enough cap space to add another veteran wide receiver afterwards though. The draft might be the best way to add depth on the offensive line.

FWIW Mewhort re-signed with the Colts.

As far as Oline depth, I'm keeping a hopeful eye on Patrick. As I said in an earlier post, I think he can end up being another T.J. Lang.

i'd definitely consider it a success. a backboard shattering slam dunk...no, but a team that's definitely better with the draft yet to come.

I read that House is coming in for a visit!! I just hope it’s for tea and crumpets. If we re sign House then it’s a joke. Of all the CB’s out there yeah we brought back T. Williams, but to bring back house. OMG!! Then it will be true like my friend said. The Pack will finish 3-13, 2-14 or 1-15 and McCarthy will get fired. Doesn’t make any sense. Oh Boy!! Here we go!!

At this point I don't see why you don't bring House back. He is better than some CB's that are currently on the depth chart. Sign him to a low end contract without many guarantees, if he makes the team great, if he doesn't not much lost. House played pretty well in Jacksonville when he was healthy and was hurt much of last year. Would I stop looking for CB's after signing House? Hell no, but with who we have right now, I would welcome just about any warm body Vet at CB.

The thing with House has always been the thing with House in GB. There is nothing wrong with him from a player standpoint. he's actually fairly decent. he's not your lockdown, shut down half the field guy, but he's not some scrub either. It's his availability and health that has always been his undoing here. He's usually out or banged up enough it is visibly affecting his level of play. He can be a depth guy, I have no problems with it

I feel about the same, as well as in House, you have a capable guy on special teams. I have no clue what the Packers think of Herb Waters, Pipkins, Brown or the status of Rollins and Goodson, but from where I am sitting, a healthy House adds depth and is better than any of those guys.

An indication to me that they aren't settled on their current group are both MM and Gunt saying they are still looking and they know that the position isn't where they want it to be. I also don't think a rookie is going to be someone you want to count on to immediately fix it.
