It'll only last another couple of years.

But yes, they're done a phenomenal job. Have a great coach in Zimmer.

It is hard for it to ever last a long time but if they keep drafting well they can sustain for a while. They have big contracts but have been able to spread them out. It will be seen if losing Shurmur hurts their offense more than people expect

I'm going to slow my roll on Reid. He is already chirping about how he is not going to be cheap and that if you think he will be then you are part of the systematic oppression he is fighting.

While I get his point, him saying it probably won't make him anymore money. He is "applying" in a very limited market and probably will be stuck taking whatever anyone is willing to pay him. I smell a one year prove it deal.

Have the Packers met with anyone since Graham? There are reports left and right of players meeting with various teams. I'm sure some things happen under the radar but I have not heard about a single meeting they have had with any player since then.

PFF ranked Breeland 54th of 120 CB's, so I am guessing that is about 60 places better than the 6 guys we currently have at CB?

I'm actually surprised they even let Graham and Wilkerson out of the bag. They hardly let anything out about anything. Even last year Cook was in 2 weeks for a meeting before anybody even suspected anything about the Packers being interested and that's when it was rumored he was going to sign.

Hello Everyone!! I’m new to this forum and used to be on another Packers Forum. It got shut down or something. Anyway we do need help at the corner position. The Reid thing isn’t to worry about, but here’s the main question Where are we at cap space with the Graham and Wilkerson signings. I know the Pack will do they’re homework. I know we all would like to have this player and this player and this player, but it’s just best to sit back and see what happens. It’s either the Pack will throw a TD or an interception on they’re decisions. I love the additions of Kizer and Graham and Mo, but let’s just wait and see what happens. All the other free agent signings that other teams made doesn’t mean they will be better. I do think the Pack is smart not over spending on free agents. Yes it could help, but if it doesn’t Ouch!! If we can land Gaines or Melvin good, but I just going to wait and let things play out. Go Pack Go!! Can’t wait for the draft!! And to WR’s I would love us to draft is Christian Kirk!! And KeKe Coutee!! I can just hear it now “ Touchdown KeKe Coutee!! Lol

Apparently Breeland got a cut on his foot that got infected. He is a few months away from clearing a physical. I think hes a lock if we can get him for cheaper than his initial contract with the Panthers, which was something like 3 years 24 million. Offer the kid 3 years 15 million and get a steal! Poor kid though, feel bad for him that an infected foot just potentially lost him millions of dollars. Though no one has ever offered me millions of dollars, so do not feel THAT bad.

that sucks for him. Infections are no joke from surgery. I have more than a couple horror stories of people I've known. one guy died from a knee scope. Never a surgery in his life, but decided that his knee bothered him enough skiiing, he was going to get it cleaned up before the season. he never made it to winter. Another guy, i know thru my wife, middle aged, and had rotator cuff surgery. Infection set in, long story short, by the time it was cleared up the man had no arms and was in a hospital for basically 3 years of his life. I know they all aren't like that obviously, but they aren't a joke that's for sure. Poor kid.

Cut his foot and got infected? Unless this is a crazy serious infection, this sounds like the Panthers had buyer's remorse and found a reason to void the deal.

It must be one bad cut for a team just to jump ship on him. I am not sure how teams run their physicals. If a player fails due to an infected cut and can't be signed, seems kind of odd. However, if that is the way every team runs their physicals, he can't be signed for a month or 2.

They don't have to fail them for something like this, but they can choose to. That's one reason why I wonder if Carolina just decided to back out and found a reason. That's also what I suspect happened with Ryan Grant in Baltimore. The Raiders did it a few years ago to Rodger Saffold. The numbers on the deal got panned, they got cold feet, and then found a reason to void it.

Well if the truth with Breeland is somewhere between yours and Mondio's stories, might be worth making him a lower offer. But if he loses a foot, he probably would only be our #2 CB. :coffee:

my stories were obviously the extreme, but sometimes these things can just get bad, and fast. Or they can't knock them out. But it depends on where and what he's dealing with. I'd hope it's more of buyer's remorse for his and everyone's sake. SOmeone else will sign him and life will go one in that situation.

Vinny Curry on the open market! Released by the Eagles. Hello pass rusher?

Pass....with the signing of Mo, we don't have the money to spend on another guy like Curry. He had one season (2014) where he had 9 sacks, otherwise he has been around 3.

All I am waiting for in Free Agency now is a CB or 2.
