May I remind you that Martin Luther was a Pastor and he brewed his own beer in his basement. Arthur Guinness and his father worked for the Archbishop of Cashel and brewed beer on his estate for his tenants. He then founded Guinness brewery with money left to him from the Archbishop. I've set under the teaching of Os Guinness who would slip in plugs for his family business during lectures. So, I may be terminally twisted, but I'm in good company. :tup:

Hey....I used to be a practising Baptist before my first wife passed away. No grief from me Mr C. ;). Okay, maybe a little bit of grief....lol

I used to have some tax benefits, but Uncle Sam took most of those away from clergy. I didn't opt out of Social Security like a lot of Pastors, so I've been paying in all these years. Now that I'm semi-retired, I'm collecting on Social Security, so I don't regret paying that tax.

However I save church taxes since I officially became a heathen, like so many others in Northern and
Eastern Germany ! :D
We do have a weird tax system....I know.
