There is no will, he has now had surgery as of a few days ago from what I’ve seen.

Dude was trying his *** off to play with a torn PCL - hindsight I’m sure is hitting both him and the organization now that they should have just done surgery right away.
Something doesn't add up with Alexander. Now that it has come out he has a torn PCL, sitting him sure didn't help heal it. It looks like another botched knee injury rehab in ways similar to Bakhtiari's inability to heal.

It's doesn't make the franchise look very competent to have two star players who appear to be mishandled if you assume that both players gave their all in the rehab process and couldn't heal. We don't know that. Maybe the players have no fault in the matter and it's totally a medical staff problem or maybe they didn't give it their all. The bottom line its an very questionable situation with two star players whose unavailability derailed seasons.

Or maybe it's nobody's fault. Maybe the doctors looked at it and said there was a 30% chance it heals enough where he can play and we can delay surgery in the offseason. Maybe it just didn't work out like they hoped but it was a wise gamble.

Probably something similar to what blowing out Dallas did last year.

Let's not forget about the Glass Man, Alexander. Over the last 4 seasons, he's played in well under half the games the rest of the team has played, or will have played by the end of the season - 34 out of 73 or 74 games, depending on how far we go in the playoffs. By the end of this season, we'll have paid him (if I'm doing the math correctly) $48,000,000 to play 45% of the games we've played in the last 4 years.

Some tough decisions are going to have to be made on his future; Green Bay has an out in 25. Gute is going to have to be wondering if it's even worth keeping a roster spot reserved for such poor production. His injury history is extensive - he missed half the games in his senior season in college with 4 different injuries (2 of them knee injuries), 2 games his rookie season here, clean bill of health as a sophomore... 5 more lost-time injuries between his 3rd year and this season, and these past 2 seasons he's only played about 1/3 of the team's games.

He could have made a substantial difference in that playoff game in San Francisco last January, but he wasn't there. There were several key losses this season where having an elite cornerback on the field would probably have made a big difference. At the very least, his presence in both Detroit games and both the Vikings games would have changed the way they schemed for us, and changed the narrative of the entire game.

Not saying we'd have won, but the way they would have played out would have been significantly different. And keep in mind, we lost 3 of the 4 games by an average of less than a field goal.
Amen. We all felt Alexander’s loss. Rarely outside of GB did anyone talk about GB playing without their Probowl CB1. As I always say, when on the field JA is arguably one of our Top 2 or 3 Defenders. Zero question imo that it negatively impacts our D without him.

From what I’m seeing on overthecap he would cost us $7.9M sunk in a post Jun1 cut or trade. However he would save us $17.5M against the Cap. If I’m reading that correctly? I would strongly advise we move on. Love the player, love the past contribution, but a player playing less than 50% of a career is not sustainable for ANY Team that has spent near 10% of the Teams Cap on said player. For Me? 65% of possible Starts would be a minimum expectation and that’s only if you play at David Bak Prime levels on the field.

I might consider offering him a restructure, but it would be a lower % guaranteed and have a high cut of active per game money$ tied to it.

Or maybe it's nobody's fault.
Come on, it is the NEW way of thinking.....somebody is at fault for EVERYTHING! Furthermore, no matter how many lies have to be told, how many false narratives are concocted and spun, we will get to the bottom of who that someone is!

What a great country we live in!

Of course you did, especially because I specifically apologized literally right there after that.

Yeah, right. If you were truly sorry about posting the insult you simply would have edited it out instead of leaving it in place and then issuing a contrived "apology." Pretty sure I have not leveled any insults at you here.

You’re act as if your incapable of reading an entire post is insanely immature.

I don't waste time on posts that start with insults. You want to converse? Don't cast insults just because someone has the audacity to disagree with you.

Nope I don’t hide when I make a mistake - I own them. I edited that post mere minutes after posting it and made it clear it was not appropriate.

Believe what you want, you’ve proven you will ignore what you want as well.

Funny you come at me, the person you literally declared falsehoods about lol ask the rest of board, I’m VERY much a fan of conversing and especially even opposing thoughts.

Nah, you wanted to leave the insult and then try to absolve yourself of it. If you're truly sorry, delete it. Otherwise, I'm done with it.

Then why hurl insults at people who have those opposing thoughts? It only hurts you.

Whatever man, too many folks run from stuff the say. I don’t believe what I said was inaccurate but it was not appropriate or the polite thing to say.

You can look at other posts over the years, I will almost always correct an error or include an apology inside of a post in ( ).

Sorry you don’t agree but again if you’d just actually read the entire first post you replied to, it clearly was not an anti-Willis post as you tried to twist my words into.

Oh, so I really do have reading comprehension problems. LOL Whatever, man. You don't become a nurse practitioner without reading comprehension skills.

I didn't twist anything. Did you not imply that you think Willis has no real potential? Am I wrong on that? If so, then why did you prioritize his days in Tennessee over his days in GB? Some players take time and the right environment/coach to develop, like Darnold or Geno Smith.

Look, I know you fashion yourself as some kind of talent evaluation guru and it clearly irks you when someone disagrees with your assessment (and I'm not just talking about today.) But why get so emotional and spiteful when they do? When you resort to ad hominems, you immediately damage your own position.

Surprised some of you continue to watch the Packers.

If winning the SB is the only thing that brings you joy then you are going to be hopelessly miserable a lot.

Guess as I've gotten older and have no idea how long I'll be around on this earth I just want as many weeks of meaningful football as possible and this year, there have been 17 weeks of meaningful football (even Bears game has meaning given the seeding) and there will be at least 1 more (hopefully 4..). I think some of you forget how absolutely much it sucks to have meaningful football for 6 weeks then go.. well.. guess I'm waiting for a year.

If not winning a SB diminishes any joy/excitement/interest you had and you feel like the Packers took something away from you well... have fun with that. I used to do that, but no more.
I'd really like the Packers to win at least one more SB before I kick the bucket. Wins are fun but they the objective is to win the championship. Football isn't like real life because measuring success is easy in the NFL. It comes with the Lombardi trophy.

I just noticed it's been 14 years since GB's last Super Bowl win. And when Rodgers won his, it was 14 years after Favre's.
