HE (Rodgers) has had the ability to END this at anytime or at least clarify his side. He has been spoon fed twice, Mike Tirico and Kenny Mayne to do so, yet he hasn't. He could call up any major reporter or TV Station and get an immediate interview to do so. Why hasn't he? If he does, it gives up his power over the Packers if he tells fans he isn't going anywhere. Or it gives the Packers too much power if he says "I want a trade or else I sit." The longer he drags this out, the longer he has the power to make fans and the Packer organization wonder....WTF Aaron Rodgers is thinking and going to do.

One way or another, it's been too long getting to this tipping point. Is it the Packers? Is it AR? Keep him, or deal him.

You missed the use of the word small, this is not a small decision - not at all. I was merely meaning Rodgers world of factors is Him. The organizations' factors are not that small, not close.

My apologies, certainly it is the basis of this stand off that small difference can't be set aside for AR and Packers management to resolve this one way or the other.

It's a mess

All we can hope for is cool heads & a speedy resolution one way or the other.

Either #12 stays or we move on with Love
That's about it. I think we'll know once June rolls around. The best time to trade Rodgers is June, early June. If he's still around by July 4th, well it's really gonna get ugly knowing how Rodgers can hold a grudge.

Is he so rich that he wouldn't be motivated by another $20 million or so in guaranteed money? One thing I know about rich people - you're never rich enough.

Rodger's has been wearing a big **** eating grin. He has something up his sleeve. Some sort of plan. What it is? Who knows.

You might have that same grin if you were coming home to this everyday

Rodgers had made it clear what he wants: stay a Packer until he retires at age 40 or more. He doesn't want to be kicked to the curb if he's the best qb on the roster and gives the team the best chance to win the SB. That's why money isn't a deal breaker. What Gute needs to be able to negotiate is a happy parting if AR's body gives out and he can't make the throws anymore. Otherwise, it's not speculation what AR wants. he's said on multiple occasions what his intentions are.

Source and when did he say this?

I've seen it reported in many places he wants to play into his 40s (first article when I googled was from June last year). As for whether he wants it to be for the Packers, I haven't seen any specific quote and I'd imagine that if any were out there, it appears he's not quite as adamant on that particular point any longer.

Can't tell if serious. Not that this is on topic in any way. But that first photo is definitely not his fiancé. Looks like Maria Menounos.

My bad, haven't seen Shailee dressed in awhile :whistling:

I did a quick Google search with her name and that was one that popped up. Should have examined, much closer. :sneaky:

Which was my point. Things may have changed and while he probably still wants to play into his 40's, I wouldn't be so sure that he envisions himself doing it in a Green and Gold jersey anymore.

I believe Kuhn mentioned this in his article

John Kuhn said something to the effect that he thought the situation was fixable and that he felt Rodgers wanted to remain a Packer. Yes, you would hope Kuhn knows more than some reporter that isn't friends with Rodgers, but it's still just Kuhn's opinion. Would rather hear it from Rodgers himself.

I was getting to the area in my mind I actually thought this might be fixable....and all is well

Then I herd Alex Smith talk about how KC handled the drafting of Pat Mahomes..he stated they had SEVERAL conversations of drafting Mahomes BEFORE the draft and how they was going to bring him along...

Jimmy G was told why the 9ers moved up in draft....he was pissed at first but then decided to ball out...

Rodgers is a thin skinned geek and holds a grudge forever they say...

Then I remembered he hasn't talked to his OWN FAMILY for several YEARS...

I think it is all over...Rodgers rift is beyond fixing

Dougherty wrote in an article Packer management played with fire and got burnt

This one he praises Gute for free agency signing.. And says 4 years left and he will be 40.

This one he says

Rodgers said his “dream situation” would be playing the next five or so years in Green Bay. He’s said similar things in the recent past. In May, he talked about producing a “fairytale ending” with the Packers. But Rodgers also understands that it’ll ultimately fall on his shoulders to play well enough for long enough that the Packers can’t get rid of him,

Not sure if you are trying to show where Rodger's head used to be at VS where it is being reported to be at now or you think nothing has changed and he still wants to finish as a Green Bay Packer. One of those articles is from July of 2018. I think Rodgers mindset has changed quite a bit since then, but I could be wrong.

All I had to do was watch A-Rod the other day on the Kenny Mayne show to hear his response and see his body language. I think he is feeling much different than he was at the time of the quotes you posted.

I am guessing that you could find a lot of quotes from Davante Adams from last year and prior talking about his love of playing on the Packers. Then this stuff with Rodgers happens and Adams is sending out a completely different vibe.

You asked for quotes about him being a packer until 40.

Maybe not exactly what you were looking for, but its close

My thing is, legacy is really important. Having an opportunity to do it all in Green Bay would mean a lot to me. I understand the track record of our squad. There’s been times where we’ve had veteran players and they’ve finished elsewhere. I get it. I’d like to make that decision easy for them.

I also asked the poster to include the Dates of those quotes and you did, thank you. :)

I totally agree that up until maybe the 2020 draft everyone, including Aaron Rodgers himself, thought that there was a good chance that he would play into his 40's as a Green Bay Packer. However, that seems to have possibly changed. So when a poster claimed that Aaron feels that way, I asked him for the quote and a date to support that Aaron still feels that way, because I get the impression that he doesn't still feel that way. "I can run a 6 minute mile"....of course I said that 15 years ago and sadly, it no longer is true.
