So, there’s this silent Elephant and we’re all just hanging on.

When do you guys/Gals think the news hammer is going to drop on Rodgers? Can we get contest going or something ? Poker can you draw us up a raffle ticket?

I’ll take June 6 D-day

what date do y’all think?

UGH D-DAY WAS GOING TO BE MINE....NOT FAIR. lol

Guess I'll go with emancipation day of June 19th...but don't think we get past D-Day honestly without some kind of news.

Ty, my guess is that if there is going to be a trade, it's already finalized and we'll hear about it shortly after June 1. Just a guess.

Going down the trade road for a minute, all I have see are possible trades with Denver. I don't think any team will give up three 1st round picks and 2 2nd round picks and an impact player. That's too rich. More realistic, two firsts, one or two 2nd rounders, and a proven impact player like job.

Problem there is that Denver would win at least ten games and the picks lose value.

I haven't heard of any other teams or possible trades.

I hope he doesn't go to the Broncos. I'm thinking Texans, with arguable more valuable draft picks.
I just think a deal is already in place. Ideally, Rodgers would be traded for 2 firsts and 2 2nds and Surtain. During training camp he quits and joins a cult. Broncos end up with 1-16 record and #1 overall pick 2 years in a row.

I’m totally down with 2-1sts and 2-2nds.
and if we get anything beyond that you can have my winning raffle ticket! I don’t even care if I lose that I’d be so excited.

edit: that’s a pretty raffle ticket made there by Poker. I’m so Sorry, but I’d like to keep mine for historical purposes. But you can keep the prize if I win

I'm taking June 2nd. The deal has already been etched out in a sand trap with the Broncos.

Oh for sure I already predicted a deal with Denver days ago and agree we aren't getting the haul many feel we will. I say that, but it still is a haul - just not the degree many are discussing.

I'm predicting it now though, Post June 1st:

Denver sends us:

2022 First Rounder
2023 First Rounder
2024 Second Rounder
+ Day 3 pick in one of those three years
Dre'Mont Jones (DE/DT) OR McTelvin Agim (DT)

Green Bay sends Denver:
Aaron Rodgers
2022 - Fourth Rounder

Now I could see that maybe that slot I said Day 3 become another 2nd or 3rd instead...but I don't see 3 first rounders.

Yeah it's still a haul. I'd like to get Patrick Surtain, keep Stokes and let then compete.. As for the draft picks, well if Gluten has enough he can package them to move up and grab a top 2 or 3 QB in a few years, similar to what the niners did this year (and this is only if Love flops). When you look at this situation as the glass has full, GB could get a decent haul for a soon-to-be 38 year old QB . But the time to do it is on June 1. Something tells me Gluten has a deal pretty much locked up.

So let Aaron play with his girlfriend in Hawaii. The serious players are at OTAs, though not so much this year.

I'm just sick of it all. I always new Rodgers was supremely confident. Just didn't think he was the arrogant jerk he's turned out to be.

And the more time he spends away from GB, the softer he becomes. This is a golden opportunity for Love to step up. That's a lot on his shoulders, but hey, welcome to the big leagues!

Is there something going on during 10:00-10:20 AM you’d like to share with the class?

Someone snuck in and scored the 10:20 AM slot...

I figure I am safe, Murphy probably isn't awake until 10:21 and Denver is an hour behind us!

But I think in my time there, I realize no one is above the team," he said. "They can trade Brett Favre, Jordy Nelson. They can not re-sign a Charles Woodson or Julius Peppers. They make decisions that are in the best interest of the team. It could be me at some point.

Winner, winner chicken dinner.

If Rodgers mindset has changed since 2018, it is on him. He speaks of dreams and fairytale endings and that is what they are. Maybe his dream will come true, maybe it won’t. Packers mgmt must always continue to draft and acquire the best talent available. Players getting their feelings hurt should never enter that equation. No player can ever be above the team as a whole.

I would have thought he was worth less than what I suggested. Then I saw what Detroit got for their QB and I thought differently.

You could be correct but let's not ignore the possibility that things have changed in the way team has been run since Gute took over. Changes in management philosophy can affect of ppl feel about their employer. Not saying that's the case but I'm also not willing to be 100% certain it's all on Rodgers. I just think keeping an open mind is better than making off-the-cuff judgements with little evidence.

Favre never said “I want out”.... Favre never said “I want the GM gonr”.... Favre just wanted to be a Packer... he wanted to play ball... imperfect yes... but we kicked him in the nuts for this “dude”... TT is gone... MM is gone... flush this turd and move on... if we get a few draft picks... icing on the cake

So the packers brass can trade up and get ANOTHER QB and OLB project?

Or just trade for mich trabitsky, and get 2 or 3 olbs?

So many options when you dont have a star player to build around...

Exactly. However, these judgements would mostly disappear if Rodgers would refute ANY of the rumors since draft day.
If you listen to the Kenny Mayne interview he did recently, it's pretty clear that something is up. And he left the front office out of his list of people he loved, so it seems pretty clear that's where the issue lies. He kept talking about the people being the organization, and that things should be done right.

I think there was a buildup over the years of different little things, and it's reached critical mass. They didn't give him a heads up about Love, they didn't sign people after he vouched for them, they didn't give the team what it needed to win now, and he feels he (and others) were disrespected.

He also talked about his having an MVP season "threw a wrench into things". Threw a wrench in what? Their plans to replace him? His playing so well last year gives him a bargaining chip to leverage them with, but it also raises his trade value. So we'll see what happens soon enough.

Packers did the same thing to Favre at the end of his career. Got rid of his oline. His receivers were replaced by projects. And they went full rebuild while he was still here. Surprise!!! He has the best year of his career! I mean besides the other best year of his career he had with Minnesota, just to stick it to us....

Same story with rodgers here and now. Give him Mercedes Lewis, and Lazzard. And he wins MVP..... He punked Greenbays strategy of him looking bad enough to justify their moves... now greenbay brass looks like jackasses.

The Texans most likely would have to get rid of Watson first, which seems to be impossible at this point.
