all those picks on Gary?

and we had the best online last year.. we needed more depth on online, that’s why more weapons makes no sense

ask KC how that worked out

KC was missing what, 4 starters? Not really comparable to Green Bay's situation.

No depth. Like I said the last 3 years, if bank goes down we are screwed...

Ask gb how that turned out.

You are fired too for not seeing the obvious

When your employer hires your replacement do you really feel good about continuing to work for them? Knowing they're moving on and just trusting you to support them rather than trying to make your job better?

Not sure why you think words talk louder than actions. The contact extension thing is irrelevant; Rodgers wants out, he's getting that extension no matter what, he just wants it from a different team.
That's how AR got his job. You would think he would understand how football works. That's Gutes job to find his replacement and not Rodgers job to worry about it.

So if that's the way you feel, then you should hate Rodgers anyway because it was Favres job he took. AR is an illegitimate Packer QB!

If it’s indeed true that Rodgers doesn’t want to return, I think I wouldn’t be so distraught if somehow they could come away from this with Zach Wilson as the future.

The only reason love was drafted was because gute was trying to copy what Thompson did.... that was a 1/1000000 chance....

Idiot move when rodgwrs has so many years left.

They won the Super Bowl 2 years ago and then made it back last season despite the injuries. I think they're disappointed about losing the SB, but extremely happy overall.

Can't see how you can come to the conclusion Gute is driving Rodgers away. He has paid the man, offered extensions, restructures, and publically committed to him.

A smack in the face? Rodgers was drafted while we had a HOF QB already on the roster. If anyone should understand it should be Rodgers.

Can't believe the Jets would do this. They have too many holes ( the Packers are more talented) and with AR would only improve to a 500 level.

Its not ARs role to draft players. He needs to be a teammate and not be so selfish.

We as fans tend to look entirely at a players performance and put them on a pedestal for it and overlook character issues. I can't side with the guy if these stories are true. He didn't get along with MM. He didn't get along with MLF. He doesn't get along with his brother. He is estranged with his mother and father. Now he doesn't like Gute.

Maybe this isn't Gutes fault. Maybe he is just being a selfish *****.

Hey, he is an amazing player - the best I have ever watched - and I would have loved him to continue as our QB for a few more seasons. But I have to face the possibility that his attitude may prevent that. It's not Gutes fault. It's Rodgers responsibility for his attitude and behaviors.

Rodgers would have a point if Gute nuked the team and ran a firesale on all of the pieces. But this is a squad coming back with most of the supporting talent that was a drive or two away from beating the ultimate Super Bowl champion in the NFCG.

Its hard not to look at this as coming out of left field. Who know maybe he always held onto playing for the other Bay area team and he's just dredging up excuses.

I'm not sure I agree with you that people's emotions shouldn't be considered, especially when that person is literally the cornerstone of your team. I've never personally heard of a good management strategy that involves treating employees like robots but maybe you've read some stuff I haven't.

And while the Favre portion must have been soothing to type, I'm not real sure what the point is?

Oh, almost forgot, how many off seasons has Rodgers threatened to retire again?

Rodgers and Love for Deshaun Watson. Problem solved. Figure out any cap issues later.

Edit: sorry, forgot about his legal issues. Rodgers for Watson straight up. Keep Love.

That's ridiculous. AR doesn't have much time left. It was a smart move to be ready for his inevitable departure. And AR's play had declined significantly the previous few seasons. Has everyone forgotten a n that?

Geez some of you guys have HORRIBLE Skip Bayless level takes, but it really isn't that surprising since a contingent of this site has bent over backwards trying to justify the Jordan Love pick.

I have no issues with Rodgers wanting to move on. The Packers front office has gotten 2 SB's out of top 7 level QBs in NFL history.... 2

This says all you need to know about the caliber of front office post Ron Wolf that this franchise has suffered through. This franchise should have been the NE of the NFC... hell I'll take PIT of the NFC, and the fact that some on this site continually don't hold the FO feet to the fire is weird and cringe

Hopefully, we will stop having the QB be the face of the franchise and relying on the QB to carry the team. I'd rather have an offense that is loaded with playmakers(both pass-catchers and runners) and on the offensive line, so long as the QB is a good game manager, doesn't throw INTs, and can lead the team down the field on a game winning drive if necessary, along with having a dominating defense.

All you need is a DeLorean, some plutonium, and a trip back to the halcyon days of the 70s. Have fun!

This happens every season to every team to many players. A team can't sit back and not add talent because somebody's feelings might get hurt. Whether it's a marginal player or a superstar. Rodgers has to realize that as long as he plays at a high level his job is Safe. I am very disappointed with his attitude and behaviors.

I've defended Rodgers because that's who I am. Now if he thought the FO was doing this Love thing to be personal.. then he just did the same thing and worse IMO. You never win in a pissing match, everyone gets wet and stinks. Put that on a bumper sticker! lol
