Newsflash! Aaron rodgers is not the GM of the green bay packers. What if the FO finds him to be a **** talent evaluator? He's seriously dying on the Jake Kumerow hill? If he wants to make personelle decisions he should join the front office. The idea is to work with your front office, not hold them hostage.

Hold onto the self-righteousness. It will keep you happy if Rodgers leaves and you can watch the Vikings go to the playoffs while the Packers are at home.

And if you think the front office didn't hold players hostage all the time, you don't pay much attention to personnel decisions.

You think his disdain is strictly over Kumerow... or maybe was it because they decided to cut him the day after he praised him. Imagine how lowly the franchise thinks of Rodgers that they won't even keep one of the only guys at the bottom of the depth chart because they'd rather have another scrub instead.

Mahomes, Brady, Brees... hell even Lamar Jackson, each get a say in potential weapons either in FA or in the draft. But *** Rodgers right?.. that's the message the Packers FO has sent for years now
Are you for real? Yeah, they heard Rodgers praise him and then decided they needed to show Rodgers who was boss and cut him.

Or, he was at his ceiling, it wasn’t very high, and a younger more athletic WR was kept to try and develop over an older unproductive guy that had no more room to grow on cut down day. It was hardly a surprise.

Out of curiosity, what player(s) were added that necessitated Kumerow being cut? I only ask because that's probably a somewhat important factor. If Kumerow was cut so the team could add a player who saw regular playing time, that's different from Kumerow being cut for a 4th string ILB who played in the wedge on special teams occasionally.

M'eh. I could see a star player being upset the GM cut the 4th string receiver the QB liked alot to add a 5th string receiver the QB didn't know too well. I'm not commenting on either side in this comment, just looking at who Gute thought was worth ignoring his QB over.

Correct...and Taylor was on the roster all year. Even returned a few kickoffs in the playoffs. Kumerow couldn't stay on the Bill's PS, then eventually cut, signed by Saints, then cut again. I loved the Kumerow story, but he was older and maxed-out his talent at marginal.

OK..but rodgers wouldnt say it

Why would he? Is there some magical phrase, that wasn't complete QB speak that says nothing, that would finalize this and fans would be happy with? There is literally nothing Rodgers could say to make this go away. Smartest move for him is to stay quiet and force the team to answer questions.

When you’re in a developmental spot in the roster you’re always in danger. Taylor was fairly athletic, younger and Kumerow had plenty of chances on this team and others. He wasn’t going anywhere.

it’s hardly a surprise he got replaced to give someone else who hadn’t had opportunity a chance. We needed to find guys, kumerow already showed us what he was.

Jake Kumerow had 1 catch last year for Buffalo and spent a lot of time on the PS, I wasn't that sorry to see him get cut by the Packers and it appears they made the right decision. Much like a lot of #4-8 WR's, he was given enough time to prove himself and he didn't step up enough to warrant another season. IF Rodgers is mad at the organization and takes it personally, about them cutting a buddy, his favorite ball boy, etc. he really is way too sensitive and in the wrong field.

This news broke 4 days ago, and Aaron Rodgers is still silent. No one knows what he wants. Does he know what he wants?

This is my biggest problem with this saga. It’s like if my husband and I got into a fight then he just doesn’t talk to me for 4 days. I would tell him to sack up. Aaron Rodgers does not owe the Packers anything and the Packers do not owe Aaron Rodgers anything...but Aaron Rodgers owes his fans and teammates something. Let us decide if your being a drama queen over the organization sending a 1 TD/year WR packing and drafting a QB for the future or if there is something you want in a contract they are not giving you.

Aaron Rodgers needs to grow a pair and tell us what he wants. Stop having your friends do your dirty work. If you want out of GB stop pointing fingers. If you want more money speak out. If you want Gute out, let us know this is all just a pissing competition.

With every day he is silent, he loses my respect. I can’t be the only fan this is happening too and don’t think his teammates could be too far behind.

Rodgers doesn't owe anybody anything. What exactly do you think he could say that would make any of this any different? This is between him and the team. Whether you agree with how he feels, there is nothing he could say to make you happy. You might claim it would show that he has a "pair" ( though I think playing a sport that involves refrigerators falling on you fairly often is pretty indicative of having a pair) but I really doubt most fans would like anything he had to say because they're fans, they naturally root for the team over the player if there's a conflict (unless it's the Knicks).

Something I was just thinking about, can you imagine Rodgers having to throw to an entirely new set of receivers?

The guy barely trusts anyone not named Adams as it is. I think his performance drops dramatically on a new team. I am sure it would still be great but not MVP quality
That was my first thought when I heard there was trade offers for Rodgers, Lol.
It would absolutely require him to adapt quickly to new receivers and teammates. Aaron Rodgers is a terrific QB but he is very set in his ways and very slow to adapt to new circumstances. Either that or he is just totally unwilling to put his TD/Int ratio in jeopardy of decline.

Ahhh, but was Taylor worth all THIS?

Also, it's a little ridiculous to say the MVP is in the wrong field.

If Taylor is the cause of all this, all this rests on the shoulders of 1 person. I don’t even need to give a hint as to who.

Obviously it's MVS for not being a good enough rookie so that Rodgers never gets attached to Kumerow.

I wasn't happy with most of the WR's that the Packers kept, if you follow me, probably my biggest bone of contention. However, that decision isn't mine....more importantly, it isn't Rodgers to make. People have said it here and I have heard media people say it, Aaron needs to stick to playing and stay out of the GM's way.

Aaron is in the wrong field.....the coaching field, if he thinks that is his business or his area of expertise. I will stand corrected if he has it in his contract or even a gentleman's agreement with the FO that he gets to weigh in on player decisions like Kumerow. I would guess no formal or informal agreement exists.

I kind of agree that this is between him and team mgmt. After a time though I think it’s appropriate for both him and the coaching staff to keep his teammates in the loop. Rodgers is the on field leader of all the players.

Love is supposed to be a guy who can run LaFleur's offense. If he's really that guy, I would be cool with trading Rodgers if it was a good trade. Problem is, how much are Rodgers' antics affecting what we could get for him in trade value? This has to damage how much leverage we have.

It would be sad to see Rodgers go. But if Love is really that guy, I'd be okay with it.

Maybe Brady is a leprechaun... look at him... now imagine him in that leprechaun outfit
I can see it, looks like a natural fit.

The Packers have 3 SB appearances with almost 30 years of HOF QB play. I mean let’s let that sink in for a minute. And only 1 with Rodgers under center. No franchise has waisted more talent at the QB position than the Packers have.

Agreed with everything in your post but this part. Actually, Aaron does owe the Packers something, he signed a contract that still has 3 years on it, he was given $100M of guaranteed money. He needs to stop acting like a victim and understand that both he and the Packers both agreed to a contract that made him the highest paid player in the league. If he is mad that he no longer is or that the team continues to plan for the future, that is on him. But yeah, he owes the team something, to live up to his end of the contract. If he doesn't, they own his *** for 3 years.
