This is like @rodell330 and josh McDaniels a lock as packers new hc

To say this week isnt a strech..

You should give a very specific thing.

I did it with an injury aaron had and wasnt reported

And a lacy drinking problem

What do u have?
Nothing. Saying Rodgers is gonna stay in GB is a 50/50 prop bet, not based on any reliable sources. And he may wanna stay, but I think the FO wants to move on. They should be able to agree with Rodgers on a destination. That's not a shock either. It's also a 50/50 prop bet.

I think we'll have an answer on Rodgers future this week, but that's no great prognostication as he said he'd make a decision by the start of FA, March 15. The bigger question is where he plays. I don't believe he'll retire. My guess, and it's a guess, is that he'll be traded. We'll all know soon.
He does not wanna be traded will threaten retirement

I doubt it, but we'll see. He certainly isn't going to retire. Even Gluten knows that. He doesn't want to get his HOF bust on "Tom Brady Day" at the HOF in five years. His ego won't allow it. It wouldn't be nourishing for him.

He might have had a light pop into his head when he was in his bunker. He has put himself into a corner with his legacy and with Packer fans. He has 2 outs to try and save some face. First, would be to go to the Packers and say "Look, my heart is and always has been in Green Bay. Let's tear up my contract and I will play for a lot less money, you can go out and sign some valuable Free Agents and lets go after another Lombardi!". Second, would be to posture that he wants to continue playing for the Packers and force the Packers to trade him, which he will be able to say "they didn't want me, but I wanted to play and finish my career as a Packer." or "They didn't want me, they forced me to retire."

If it is true that Murphy and Gute don't want him back and MLF does, I just cant see the President/CEO and the GM getting over-ruled by the HC.

Then again, I don't know much more today then I did 4 weeks ago, just more "he said, she said".

CAN Rodgers even “tear up his contract”? Isn’t guaranteed money “guaranteed money? I think the die is cast it just depends on when those $$$ hit. Plus much as I do not like Rodgers, I don’t expect any professional ANYthing to give back money

If they don't want him is it a real threat?
Good point. Retirement this year isn't in the cards. His ego is too big to go into the HOF with Brady. And if he wants to collect on the $59 mil, he needs to agree to a trade. Hell, it's just as likely that the team trading for him demands a pay cut.

After three years, I really don't think GB wants to lose Love. Now Love may not be the guy, probably isn't, but they gotta find out.

I think they wanna move on personally. I think if they trade him then Rodgers decides what he wants to do at that point. I don’t think he retires. All I know is that he has informed them he intends to return. And thats 100 percent a fact I just dunno why the front office has said that yet.

IF it's 100% that AR has informed them that he's playing, and Gute hasn't announced it in the press, then more is happening behind the scenes. Gute is either working a trade of AR OR a trade of Love and won't be announced until a done deal. Doubt both are Packers in '23.

Well said. Carr signing with the Saints suggests, to me, that the Jets are getting Rodgers. If the Jets knew for sure they didn't have a chance at Rodgers, they would have signed Carr in a heartbeat.

We're at the point where we're all (well at least I am) reading too much into this. It just seems that he's going to NYC. Even Namath is on the record to accommodate it. I don't know. Seems like a done deal.

Yes Rodgers wants to stay Matt wants Rodgers I think this is big for gute because once mark retires the board might want someone else to take over gute is banking on love to be the next Rodgers. Idk I can’t speak for the front office that’s just my opinion. Alls I know is that Rodgers wants to stay in Green Bay and has told them that as well and the front office Continues to lie that they have heard nothing
Matt also wants to keep Barry

So.......
