The only thing that seems credible here is that Gluten and Rodgers talk after the combine. That's not breaking news, well unless it's on CNN where the time of day is breaking news.

Dude again I don’t care if you legitly know them or not - I don’t believe Rodgers is going to allow some half named media pundits break the news personally. He’s vastly too arrogant for that.

First of all. There’s a 90% chance we know something before tampering periods of FA closeout. If not and #12 knew he was going to be playing in GB, he’d be cutting off his own footballs.

So this thing about “we’ll know soon” is kinda obvious. Rodgers essentially said he won’t put the team in a awkward position and that awkward position starts with FA. I’m going to take the man at his word because we each deserve that and plus, he’s really going to commit fanship Hari Kari if he allows it to go into or past the tampering Period by more than 24 hours.

March 13th-15th is the PR deadline. That’s a week from tomorrow

Chris Jacke (on Facebook) alluding to "big news" about a home being listed in Suamico. AR used to own a home there, but sold it in '17. Did he buy another there that MAY be listed soon?

Rodgers has already told the Front office he wants to play and finish in Green Bay. Mark and Brian wanna move on to Love. And keeping it quiet. Not like it’s surprising but it’s factual that Rodgers let them know his intentions he doesn’t wanna be traded either

This would not surprise me at all. MLF's job is much safer with Rodgers at QB, Gutes might not be as safe, especially given he is the one that drafted Love.

Yes Rodgers wants to stay Matt wants Rodgers I think this is big for gute because once mark retires the board might want someone else to take over gute is banking on love to be the next Rodgers. Idk I can’t speak for the front office that’s just my opinion. Alls I know is that Rodgers wants to stay in Green Bay and has told them that as well and the front office Continues to lie that they have heard nothing

I get that and can understand how some fans feel that way, but are you then saying that all you care about is what Rodgers does on the field? Normally, I could care less what a player does off the field, as long as it doesn't distract from or interfere with the teams goals, reputation and serves as a good role model for young fans. The Packer Fans that think that 3 straight years of him waffling over his own future, with the organization that he has made a kings ransom playing for, isn't distracting or interfering with with what the team is doing, are either blind or have convinced themselves that his talent outweighs the headaches. Obviously, the Packer FO put up with it the last 2 years, but that is by no means an indication that Rodgers behavior is ok with them. Rather, it is more of an indication of just how much power and leverage that Rodgers has over the franchise and some of its fans.

I find something very telling about certain Packer fans. Those who defended Rodgers for not showing up for OTA's original stance was "he's a veteran, he doesn't need that crap, he can go play at a high level with minimal practice." They are right, HE can, but sadly, just like Rodgers, all they are thinking about is Aaron Rodgers and what is important to and for him.

Actually I don't care much about Rodgers as I'm a Packers fan first and foremost. I definitely believe that there are way too many fans who don't show enough appreciation for the special talent he has been since becoming the starter back in 2008. Sadly, the mostly base that on a media driven perception that he has been a terrible person despite there being any evidence to support that notion.

Once again, it shouldn't be surprising to anyone that a 39-year old QB needs some time away to figure out if he wants to play for another season. It doesn't cause the Packers any harm as he informs them about his decision before the start of the new league year.

Jordy Nelson was a guy in this situation. Rodgers didn't want to see him go, but the Packers didn't think he gave them what they needed anymore, except near vet minimum. Seems the Packers were right. While he had an ok year for the Raiders, it was the last he seemed to have in the tank.

I definitely don't consider the front office handled the situation with Nelson well.

You are correct, he might think that and in some cases the Packers might agree with him and retain 1 or more of them. However, in no way should he attach his desire to stay, with these guys being retained. If it doesn't make sense for the people making the decisions, end of conversation. IMO of course.

I don't recall exactly what Aaron said and maybe it was just him wanting to input what he thought was best for the team. I just remember that it sounded (to me) more like he didn't want those guys being replaced, something that he referred to as not wanting to be a part of a rebuild.

Rodgers never publicly asked the Packers to retain any of the players mentioned. It's true he doesn't want to be part of a rebuild but there's no indication the Packers moving on from any of his buddies would have him automatically believe they're headed that way.

Rodgers doesn't really have the power to deny a trade, all he can do is retire if he doesn't like where he's going.

Rodgers could threaten to retire if traded to a specific team which would actually nix a trade.

Now if you were asking what I would want if I was the Packers GM? I would have wanted that decision on my desk no later than a week after the Super Bowl. Which would give me and my staff adequate time to begin planning around that important decision.

I truly hope the Packers front office have prepared a plan for the time after Rodgers isn't the starter anymore a long time ago. Therefore they don't need Rodgers to have informed them of his decision by now.

That's what I said, all he can do if he doesn't like a trade is to retire. Sure, that means he can help steer where he is traded to (up to a point). But as I said before, I would guess that mutual respect would lead them to trade him to a place agreeable to him. If he wants to still play in GB, that's up to the front office as to whether that's what they want or not. He has some leverage, but so what? Whether they keep him, trade him, or if he retires, I'll live with it either way.

Actually Rodgers can force his way onto the Packers roster for next season as long as Gutekunst doesn't find a team agreeing to trade compensatory picks for him and having him count $16 million against their cap while he doesn't want to play for that team. I really don't know why any other team would agree to that to help out the Packers.

For sure. I had no problem with an extension but management was nuts to give him that one. There are only so many teams out there that will want a 40 year old QB. The Jets seem interested as do the Raiders. We'd get the best return with either these teams. I suspect AR will want to go to Vegas to play with Adams and be closer to CA. Plus he'll be in the AFC.

I don't believe Rodgers would want to play for the Raiders considering they had a terrible defense last season.

I think we'll have an answer on Rodgers future this week, but that's no great prognostication as he said he'd make a decision by the start of FA, March 15. The bigger question is where he plays. I don't believe he'll retire. My guess, and it's a guess, is that he'll be traded. We'll all know soon.
