Who do you see at WR in the top 100 of this class who could play a Watson/MVS type role as a vertical threat? Not a little guy, but someone with some length.
Tory Horton from Colorado State, cannot believe I forgot him. He’s a slightly older prospect but dude can scoot and has really good size.

I'd consider adding Georgia's Arian Smith as a "burner" who needs to work on route tree & catching. Earlier Day 3?

Arian is swift for sure but he is a VERY SLIGHT dude at under 180 but essentially same height as Royals who’s over 30 pounds lighter and just as quick or very close

Smith is 6', 185. Jameson Williams is 6'-1", 180. I would've taken Williams on draft day, had he fallen, over Watson 100 out of 100 times. Appreciate Watson's attitude & ability, just think MLF could've gotten more out of Williams than Detroit has.
Smith in the 4th or 5th would be fine with me. ;)

Smith isn't quite 6 foot, just like many their listings are always high. Senior Bowl measurements confirmed what I listed. He's just under 6 at 5'11' 3/4 and he weighed in at 175lbs

Arian showed up at the Senior Bowl and shined, he's a guy that is really tough to gauge...highest round I think he goes is 3rd, lowest I think 5th/early 6th.

@Dantés You know what the more I think about it the more I truly do believe Rasheed Walker could be that guy Packer fans wake to the news of being traded...I at least assume between the two tackles Tom is going to get the extension....IF GB feels Morgan is ready this is a trade that makes a lot of sense. I think it even gets more likely if say Armand Membou or Conerly is there on Day1 and Gute cannot ignore two starting level guys again are sitting there....pick and wait, because someone is going to be interested in a LT before the season or after a few weeks when injuries happen.

Right now it seems pretty obvious if we took Cooper de Jean instead of Morgan, it would have been good for us. But we don't really know what we have with Morgan yet. And I am happy to have Cooper. So we will see.

I love DeJean, but I disagree. The Morgan pick could have actually saved us in that playoff game vs Philly. We didn't lose to the Eagles because we didn't have Cooper playing slot/box safety role we lost because when Jenkins went down we COULD NOT offer any form of protection. Morgan was the first person that came to my mind when I saw Jenkins go down...and feared what was about to happen.

Btw I just realized it was a bit confusing that I meant our linebacker Cooper. But I guess Cooper de Jean wasn't available then. Also, I don't think Morgan played in that game so what I said still goes. We don't really know what we have with him yet

I just broke down our Gute rookies and first year stuff (in another thread) from play time and even first playoff if in rookie year...but yes Morgan was injured, but we do know what we have to an extent. He was a guy entrusted right away to split starting line reps with a third year pro in Rhyan at RG and Morgan even started one game. Now whether the team sees him as the future at G or OT is the big question of course none of us know. However, their significant indication from him being a split starter and him getting the starting nod the week we were down our center and Jenkins went to Center Jordan switched from playing RG to LG.

This team knows they have a starting level OL in the league.

I think the most likely scenario in which any of the OL get traded is before cut-downs if training camp reveals a surplus.

Oh concur, I don’t think it happens till during draft at earliest but likely well after when known surplus confirmed

Lets get back to other peeps and picking up some needed help - Thielen is out there 34 and hot to trot. Not sure Adams is going to be back in. The way he left reminds me of the Irish goodbye - out the door. We need a Dlineman that knows the 4-3 and can create havoc. A fresh new CB will be needed. lotta Swiss cheese holes right now. Can we get Sterling outta retirement??? lol

Everyone is clamoring for a trade with Cleveland...but I'd argue the more likely and also much needed and embraced trade with Cleveland would bring Greg Newsome to GB or Denzel Ward instead of Garrett.

Cleveland is in a MISERABLE cap situation...literally the inverse money wise GB is in....

Look at the two guys, very different situations:

Greg Newsome - First rounder (#26) back in 2021 that if memory serves I believe @Dantés like me loved (I think I was more bullish on him but we both liked him) him for GB. He had very solid 2021, 2022 years, 2023 was still starting caliber but tackling issues reared head a bit more. 2024 was just a down year. However, Cleveland did pick up his fifth year option so a trade for Newsome would have Packers 2025 cap hit at $13,377,000.
Positives as I see them in this trade: Comfortable in man coverage responsibilities, has immense starting experience for a guy so young, no long term investment. If Jaire is here one more year this is a dynamite type one year deal.
Negatives as I see them in this trade: While it isn't likely going to take top tier draft capital...it might at most pull your third from you for Newsome + Day3 pick type back and Gute does good with draft picks typically (I'd guess 4th rounder I bet)....you have him for one year, so while the risk is low long term...there is the flip side of it. You're also while getting a starter, not signing a bonafide no doubt CB1 and if Jaire is gone, this move is a risky move IMO.

Denzel Ward - 2018 top 5 draft pick (#4) and has served in the NFL as a clear CB1 and really outside of a down 2022 year it's likely he has always been a top 32 or so pick. He will take more than Newsome but less than Garrett by a long shot.
Positives as I see them in this trade: He like many in CLE have not been what they once were, but he is still a bonafide CB1 and to me a perfect guy that would crave the chance to play for a SB contender, he still will only be 28 this season, would pair incredibly well with Jaire if he is here or could be the answer if he isn't. He's truly cheap honestly as he would only cost us around $14M in 2025...and under $20M for next few years.
Negatives as I see them in this trade: Some will say he's on that downward trend and it is risky, some don't view him as a bonafide CB1 anymore and would NOT want him to be the answer to a Jaire departure.

With the draft in GB, would the Packers really trade their #1 pick to get a player this year? Shouldn't even be a factor for consideration, but probably is. Then again if they did a trade like that and was announced at the podium that GB traded and got back Garrett (Crosby or pick a player), my guess it that would have the same outcome as if a pick was announced. Saying 24-48 hours before that they don't have a 1st round pick might have people stay at home.

I personally believe Gute is swayed less than half a percent by public opinion when he makes decisions.

If Green Bay traded all their picks the attendance would still be 100%. It's an NFL event in Green Bay that may never happen again. Gutey won't care about not having a 1st rounder if it means we've acquired a top talent via trade.
