Which is a higher draft choice - 1 or 10? In middle school, they taught me 10 was more/higher. :)

no it is not what you said. you said the packers have given up the 24th most points. it's actually very simple english. you wouldn't say that the lions have given up the 32nd most points. that would actually mean that they had given up the least points. but they have actually given up the most points.

looking at the other end of the spectrum, the broncos have given up 26 points. by your logic, you would say that they have given up the first most points, when in actuality, they have given up the least.

anyway, i'm done explaining. it is a very simple concept that is taught in early middle school.
I've decided that you sir are unkind. First, I meant their ranking is 24th in points given up. This was simply a discussion point, and one I think most understood. Those that are not high and mighty that is.

Here's a couple of things for you to consider before you start spouting off. Sentences start with capital letters. English is a specific language and thus is capitalized. The word "I'm" is also specific to you and should be capitalized as well. I learned all these things in grade school. That is before middle school if your counting. These are pretty simple concepts. You can take it up with your little friend that was asking. See if he/she knows.

Long story short, I was pointing out some stats and wanting to chat some football. You're more interested in pointing out others falls in an effort to make them look silly. If you need to make yourself feel better by belittling others you can count me out. I want to talk football.

agreed… and I am distressed that quite a few posters dont understand that this is not a trivial detail. You are not just being pedantic.
I'm a knowledgeable football fan. I simply meant ranking.

i started in a very non-confrontational way, by asking a simple question and trying to keep it light-hearted. instead of laughing it off, you doubled down and insisted you were right. then you turned it into an argument. i do apologize if you were truly offended. it seems more like you were looking for a fight.

i intentionally type in all lower case because posts that are all upper case are considered shouting on the internet. it isn't an easy thing to do - especially on sites that force autocorrect. but yes - you are correct about the use of capital letters. so i will grant you the win.

This has been relatively informative and mildly entertaining. It brought back painful childhood school grades and spending time after school in academic detention with the dumb kids.
Let’s get back on topic. Let me start…

The Steelers suck. Like D+

It seemed condescending to me. It did not seem light hearted.

Does it sound better to say that the Packers defense is ranked 24th in points allowed?

MVS (excuse me for using caps) I think is a big loss if he can’t go. He stretches the field to help open up Adams. Do we have another player that can play that role? I don’t think Lazard is fast enough.

Nice breakdown, thanks for that. I feel like the Packers will put up some points against this defense. Take care of the ball and win the turnover battle. I think they put up at least 30.

If the Packers reach 21, I think it’s game over. And I think they will score more than 21.

The Pittsburgh defense is sound but when your offense is completely inept, the other side of the ball can collapse.

I guess what was important is that the Steelers have given up fewer points. But after 3 games, that stat does not mean much. More importantly is that it sounds like the Steelers are getting their WOs back. Though they seem roughed up.

CBS will be televising the Packers game on Sunday with Jim Nantz and Tony Romo their #1 team calling it. Must be a hot ticket, it's being broadcast to most of the U.S. with only the Denver and Baltimore market being excluded for the Ravens and Broncos game.

Injury situation will make this game close. TJ Watt was a full participant in yesterday's practice and will play if he doesn't gave any setbacks. Juju and Highsmith were limited so expect them to be ready to go. The Packers are banged up. They are missing four starters THREE OF WHICH ARE PRO BOWL PLAYERS IN Bakhtiari. Zardarius and Jenkins. Doubtful that MVS and Jenkins play after they were DNP for both Wed and Thursday practice. The Packers rookie o line has pass blocked rather well but has gotten handled in the running game. Expect the Steelers to go cover 2 with lots of nickel and dime coverages. They will blitz often to disrupt the passing rhythm. The Packers should have a better opportunity to hit the backs in the passing game and break off a few longer runs.

I finally talked to our CFO yesterday about his beloved Steelers. Not much to glean. He said that once the Steelers hit 11-0, Roethlisberger looked old and slow. Apparently that has carried over into this season. Compound that with their really young OL and you've got a problem. Najee Harris is still a stud but without much support.

In the end, our CFO said "your welcome" for the gift of a win the Packers are about to get. IDK - this seems like the kind of game that Pittsburgh could decide to play their best.

You never want to overlook opponents, but we're about to enter what I would classify as sort of a 'light' part of the schedule:

Steelers
@Bengals
@Bears
WFT
@Cardinals

That's about as pedestrian a stretch as you could really ask for. Need to win 4 of 5 at least before we get to the meat of the schedule.
I know
Packers defense should be able to fix the terrible. They will run right at Lowry and pound the ball to set play action. Pittsburg is getting healthy and will be a different team on Sunday.
And will throw a few trick plays at us. I still believe the 9ers had a better defense except for a few rookies in the back end. Their front 7 is as tough as it gets.

MVS was just ruled out for the Steelers game due to a hamstring. I wonder who can play that spot to help spread the field and take attention away from Adams.

My guess is the answer to the 1st part of your question is Adams. The answer to the 2nd part is going to have to be everyone else.
