You act like its a hard decision. We have 5 LBs. Pick between Summers and McDuffie. Cut Ladarius Hamilton. Dennis Kelly has been useless and with Jenkins and Njiman do we really need him? If its a WR that needs to go so bad EQ is on the active roster.

This is not hard.

You missed the point.

This is just not true. OBJ can still get behind a defense. He has a sick release, really good route running, and a terrific ability to high point/adjust and win jump balls.

The same people complaining about him being a distraction sound like the same people saying they didnt want Randy Moss, Marshawn Lynch, or Antonio Brown. Spoiler alert: All those people looked like fools.
When is the last time OBJ actually did any of those things?

All year when Baker couldn’t throw an accurate pass or find him when he was running wide open.

Have you gone and watched any Browns games or are you just looking at stats and assuming he declined? He’s also been playing through the same injury Jaire currently has for the past 5 weeks or so.

Hard to know where OBJ is at health wise but he is worth a look 100%. His upside is tremendous. If Adams/Jones are shut down by one of the elite defenses then I'd rather have OBJ and Cobb to fall back on than who we have now.

Not credible at all.
Whether OBJ and the Packers believe that, it's pretty much all over the internet that The Packers are his #1 choice.

OBJ wanting to come to Green Bay is only half of the equasion. The question is: do Gute and AR want OBJ? and would signing him **** off the current receivers and cause more distractions?

More importantly....will Lazard give up #13. ;)

The more I have thought about OBJ, the more I'm behind it. Every WR that is currently on the Packers rosters has gotten playing time. The only WR that is elite is Adam's. OBJ may not still be elite, but I'd take him over any of the other WR's. The Packers have brought in a number of vets this season and all but Jaylon Smith have been pretty good moves. If the other WR's don't like it, then they aren't team players. If he turns into a distraction, no big loss to cut him.

If he wants to come here, it's probably because he knows this team gives him his best shot to prove himself. I think he will be all in.

I have watched enough to know he is not who he was. Obviously the price is right. Just wonder how much of a cancer he will be to whoever gets him. Somebody definitely will. Probably a perfect time to let AR play GM.

For vet minimum? Hell yes. He's a pain in the rear end but for a WR needy team on the cusp of a Super Bowl? Yes!

The complaint about OBJ is that he wants the ball on every play. But if he comes to GB he knows Adams is the big dog and he accepts that as the price of possibly picking up a SB ring.

@massey_evan

Per source, at this point in time, Odell Beckham Jr. still would prefer to sign with the #Packers. However, Green Bay’s front office has not been as aggressive as others. They do have interest though. If they come through with competitive offer, Beckham will likely sign with GB.

I would be flabbergasted if the FO didnt try to pick this guy up. Like what many posters said before me, given that this is the last dance, some risks should be taken. We have played almost 3 years with only one solid and dependable receiver, yet I have seen the other half of posters declining every possible and talented candidate for reasons that are secondary, sometimes trivial either. Now opportunity arrises to sign one of the most talented receivers in the league short term and for near the league minimum and people still want us to pass? smh

There is no scenario where Rodgers would (nor should he) throw his direction enough to make him happy. He wants to be the #1 guy NOW. Throw at OBJ less than 12 times in a game and he goes into a little bi0tch mode. F- him.

That would require him being a team player, which is something he's NEVER been.

I would definitely be in favor of the Packers signing OBJ to a minimum deal for the rest of the season. Remember the Browns still need to pay him. If he's looking for a long-term contract the Packers can't and shouldn't afford to bring in him though.

Can he play slot? nope....

Beckham has lined up in the slot on a percentage similar to Adams over his career. In addition the Packers would benefit of improving the talent on the outside opposite of Adams.

Really? Hey while he’s sitting next to you ask him what his favorite color is too.
