Now that we are out, who'd you rather win this SB?

That was rough... was really hoping for a better result. Yet again another heavy heart. It's tough being a Vikings fan... Have a good off-season everyone.

Condolences. It's hard losing the NFCCG. You're all right for a Vikings fan :)

It was great to see the Vikings vaunted defense being unable to stop the Eagles offense. Course the 2 turnovers by Keenum did hurt. On one positive note it appeared that after the game Keenum was very gracious in congratulating Foles.

Whew! Just happy to see that they are out. Now my dilemma. I said I wouldn't watch the SB if the Patriots got in. But I am rooting for the Eagles. Dang. I guess I'll watch unless the Patriots start winning by a lot. Hope the defense is ready because Brady is no Keenum.

We are all Eagles fans for the next 2 weeks.
I don't have anything against eagles players or coaches but... wow their fans have zero class or sportsmanship... can't say I've even seen or witnessed opposing fans get bottles and rocks thrown at them walking to the stadium. I'm sure the Patriots fans are similar... east coast bs.. It's too bad though. Stay classy Wisconsin.

You are really ruining this for me by being so decent, could you just stop for a few days and let me savour this for a little while ??? I have to go to church, the mosque, the temple and several other places as my part in the deal with the Lord for this result. Thank you and my commiserations to you.

Not really east coast. I've been to Pittsburgh, Baltimore and Washington; no bottles. Philadelphia fans are notorious for bad behavior. I think they even built a jail in the stadium.

Eagles fans are crap. The mocking of the Skol chant and all the rest of the crap is crap. I'll probably be cheering for the Pats again. I guess I'll see what team i think is getting screwed and then cheer for them to come back and win :)

When you've won, enjoy it. If you have to enjoy it by being a 5 year old ***, grow up. and I like much of their team, I hate Schwartz, he's a child in a man's world too. Though Pederson seems to be a grade A coach and person. I'm surprised he has him on his staff

I'd be lying if I said I was rooting for the Vikings yesterday, but I agree the Philadelphia fans are the worst. There's a famous incident where they booed Santa and pelted him with snowballs.

By the way, I just saw this stat on TV, thought it was interesting: Dome teams are now 0-13 in conference championship games played outdoors on the road.

My main concern was not wanting New England to win. It's probably just my perspective but after how Brady handled Deflategate just wasn't very smart.
Gronk went after the back of a defenseless players helmet it just added to a negative perception for me. I think it's a natural inclination for many of us to want the underdog to win (me included) and the Eagles fans have not had much to cheer about since 2004 and couldn't even pull one out then. We complain about our own team...but these guys have never won a Superbowl?!
One of the Eagles fans best memories is beating GB on a 4th and 26 in the playoffs and you can ask most people on the street of Philadelphia and they know that Eagles players name! All teams have some bad eggs, but I know the vast majority of Eagles fans are good people and I'd like to see them win one.

I couldn't consider myself to be cheering "for the Eagles" as much as just "against the Vikings" for those reasons yesterday. I'm debating whether or not to watch this Superbowl just because the Pats have become the new broken record that just won't stop playing in the AFC. It's become like the early to mid 90s were when the 49ers and Cowboys kept on being the NFC team and it was good God, can someone please get a new matchup here? I think the NFL can get more competitive and exciting again if the AFC can get some fresh blood up in there and start making their playoffs more interesting.

The problem is that another Patriots SB win is just "yeah yeah seen this already." An Eagles win aside from the nuthouses in Philly doing their usual really doesn't have much ring to it (no pun intended) because the Pats still got 5 in the Brady era and 8 appearances and just hardly feels like a headline worth remembering. Plus, even though it was different players except for Brady on both teams back in SB XXXIX, it's still a game you've seen before you feel like.

Plus what's just detracted from an ability to hype the game up for me is that it's in Minneapolis, and the NFL keeps picking the worst artists to do halftime shows. I really think from now on, the fans should have complete control of who performs at halftime. Leave it up to the NFL's most die hard fans and I believe artists like Timberlake will never be allowed on the stage again.

A Packer fans worst memory that I still remember. 1:12 left on the clock and McNabb completed a 28 yard pass to Freddie Mitchell. I still think it was a poorly marked ball, but it would have been very close.

In case you forgot the play :speechless:

The Eagles fans' reputations precedes them. No class at all. I am basically rooting against the Pats, Bellichek and Brady. Not necessarily for the Eagles, although I like Doug Pederson. Totally agree on Schwartz. I would never want him for a coach for the Packers.

Interesting fact. Through the first 15 Super Bowls only two NFC/NFL teams won the Super Bowl. Green Bay and Dallas. Over the next 16 the AFC only won one, the 1983 Raiders.

Wow, I don't remember it being controversial (not surprising my memory is fading) but that spot was terrible!

It's interesting that Philadelphia fans treated the Vikings and their fans so shabbily, but now have to rely on Minnesota's hospitality if they are going to watch their team in the Super Bowl.

Regarding the 4th and 26th, I had forgotten about the controversial spot, but that video refreshed my memory. At the time I thought it was a bad spot.
Looking at it now, with perhaps less biased eyes, it does look like forward progress gives them the first down.

Let's not gloss over the fact that it wasn't 4th and 26 that lost the game, it was Favre's mind numbingly ill advised pass in overtime that was easily intercepted and returned to field goal range that led to Akers's game winning field goal.

I'm rooting for the Eagles precisely because there are no Egales far in around the bars near my home.
Abundance of Pats fans, so if they win, they'd annoy the hell outta everyone trying to drink peaceably.
