Oh... that's right. There's a game today. My son is hosting a Super Bowl party today...and will have a couple of VHS/VCR tapes I made the day of Super Bowl 31 ... commercials and all ... playing in the background. Did the same for Super Bowl 32 but that was accidentally recorded over. ;)

I also recorded all day for the NFC Championship Game following the '96 regular season against Carolina, and, he had the same game party two weeks ago.

I have to say, that VCR did a nice job considering that I recorded it all on "LP".

OH...and unfortunately one of these two teams has to win today. Kansas City is going to shut the Eagles down because Kansas City has Andy Reid ... they don't make mistakes, mental or otherwise and that is what is going to be Philly's downfall.

It is unfortunate that one of them has to win.

I understand the exhaustion with the Chiefs. As a Packer fan, I hate the Eagles only a little less than the Vikings.

Im not cheering for a Kansas City, I want to see the Eagles lose. Circular logic, I know (or maybe no logic at all). I think what pushed me over the edge was when Philadelphia printed "4th and 26" for their fans.

Yeah, Packer won 35-21. Desmond Howard was named MVP an the Pack won their 12th word Championship. My crystal ball tells me they might pull out #13 in 2011.
Very insightful of you weeds. Why am I not surprised? Damn a lucky 13 in 2011 would be sweet. I hope they beat the Steelers. Hey, a guy can dream.

(And FWIW, yeah you were a wee bit off on KC. But at least you have the stones to make a bold prediction. That sets you apart.)

I know. And weeds was leading with his chin on that prediction.
...and I didn't lose a wink of sleep. I think the Chiefs allowed the Eagles to kick their a**es because... ya know... gambling interests. :whistling: The big lay down.

Is the guard you guys added any good. From what I heard it seemed like y'all gave him a pretty big bag but that not a lot of it was guaranteed so just curious don't know a lot about the guy we got two guards and a center so I really think Ashton Jeanty is going to be our pick up number 10.

And I would love to be a fly on the wall when the eventual Ben Johnson and Tyreek Stevenson meeting takes place!!!!!!!! "Hey Tyreek step into my office real quick.....we need to talk....... so that bs in Washington last year......that'll never happen on my team...caprice?!?!?!?!?! Good!!!"
Might be more explosive but something close. Our ex coach was a half step up from a kid on the short bus coaching. Then again...da kid prob calls timeout on thanksgiving so....who knows hahahaha

The Packers got Banks for LG and they'll move Jenkins to center. The Packers play a tighter OL trying to drive defenders and open gaps for Jacobs. It's a solid signing. They still have to figure out what to so with last year's first round pick, Morgan. He played LT in college, but the Packers would not have drafted him if they didn't think he was versatile. I think Walker has LT nailed down, but we'll see.

I like the moves the Bears have made in the offseason, from coaching to the OL. Now is the time to watch the Bears. They have a lot of big pieces in place. If they can keep Williams upright this season, the passing game will certainly improve, And I think Jeanty would be a great pick at #10.

That's kind of the world we live in now, isn't it? Day-to-day chaos. We've been here before. Hang on and things will be fine. And in the meantime, we have football to distract us.

I’m just glad the Eagles put an absolute beatdown on KC. It made our loss look less important. Remove the opening kickoff in the Wildcard (2 missed holding calls) and it was a 1 score game for much of the Afternoon. That was at Philly and we were relatively banged up on Offense.
Our D nearly shutdown Philly at Philly. 15 points allowed in 4 Quarters

That's all kinda interesting. Instead of finding new ways to lose in big games, I'd like GB to find new ways to win.

Mmmm.... well, he's a legitimate NFL starting guard; he can do the job. He'll never be an all-pro, and yeah, we paid a lot of money for him, but I doubt they plan to keep him more than 2 years and maybe even just 2025.

I look at it this way... he's a better guard than Josh Myers is a center, and adding Banks to the roster allowed us to move Jenkins to center and let Myers go. Our whole O-line got better - probably incrementally, rather than exponentially, but still... better.

I don't know the details, but the contract gives the Packers an out and doesn't carry a huge cap hit. AAV is high - around $17 mil I think, but that's misleading.

It was still a good FA move. Gluten had to find a way to get Jenkins to C after parting ways with Myers and this is it. So the starting OL looks pretty good. Hopefully Morgan lives up to his first round selection - either at LT or RG. And I'm sure Gluten will add at least one OL in the draft.
