I would think right now we would be using our TE’s in the short passing game more. I’m not sure what’s going on with Bennett but his head ain’t into it. So far we’ve gotten the level of play of a 2.5Mil player and he’s making 7Million? I’d rather see Richard Rodgers right now he’s more consistent than this guy.

Bennett has had some drops, he hasn't been that bad and he's not killing us on cap either. If he wants to retire, he can retire at the end of the year. I took a week off of everything last week, except here. No sports radio on the way to work or home. First thing I turn it on wed of this week and they're talking about this and I swear this notion that GB has the smartest fans has got to be some sort of joke after listening for those 5 minutes.

First caller out of the blocks, "should have kept Cook, hes younger and catches better, cheaper, just better all the way around. What the hell was Ted thinking" paraphrased. Next caller, Cook was younger cheaper and wanted to stay here. Next Caller, Bennett is a bum, should have kept cook on and on, well I guess I don't know if it went on and on. I couldn't take it anymore.

They're the same age. They have practically the same stats. Cook has 1 more game so far. They both have missed time with their great QB's. They both have strengths and weaknesses in their game. If indeed Marty has checked out and quits on the season, well that's on him and I'll far less respect for him than I used to. But man, go back and look at the reaction when he was signed. Everywhere. Here, other teams boards, other sports articles, PFF articles. It's almost unanimous in the praise of the upgrade at TE.

Sometimes these things don't work people. Evans has been a great under appreciated FA pick up this year at guard. Brooks has been a disappointment so far too. Concussion, out. Bad back, out. I think i've seen him make a play in 1 game so far. Maybe Bennett is the Randy Moss of TE's, great when things are great and packs it in when things get tough. It's just funny that since we never signed Moss those same people that are now so pissed at the Bennett signing will still hold not getting Moss against this organization. and they say we have the smartest fans. They don't even know that 30=30 LOL

I know sometimes it depends on the station/show. In Milwaukee, you get a different type of caller on 620 v 540 v 1250. I can't even stand to listen to 1250.

Not sure if mentioned.. But he hurt his shoulder in bye week... They had a practice Tuesday.. That's when it happened

This may have some bearing on his retiring.

I heard that later in the week. he's made money, won a super bowl, and could just be wondering out loud if this is still worth it.

sports radio in dallas doesn't even take calls and it's fantastic. one station here that never takes calls has won an award for best sports talk in the nation 3 times. i try to get Packers perspective on a station from Milwaukee on the tune-in app. can't stand the callers.

Bennett already ruled out for Sunday. I have a feeling he's going to be ruled out for quite a while with his mystery shoulder injury. I don't believe he wants to be here anymore and has for all intents and purposes already retired. Terrible signing by Teddy. The guy's a turd.

According to Field Yates the Packers have released Bennett with the failure to disclose a medical condition designation.

Literally three threads about this started at the same time haha. I knew they shoulda kept Cook!! Just another brilliant move by Teddy boy and the staff. Once Rodgers got hurt Bennett quit on the team...he won't be the last one either smh.

Do we owe him any money?

The Packers already paid him $8 million of the 3-year, $21 million deal he signed this offseason. By cutting him with a failure to disclose a medical condition designation it's possible the team argues his entire contract is void and goes after his money though.

I'm not sure how successful that will be, but I certainly hope they try... he is a pos.

That'd be awesome for the team, but you know he'll have a hissy fit if that happened. This may end up in a Twitter war between him and the Packer fans.

The difference between Ted and New England is when New England goes after free agents, they get them at bargains. Ted has thrown too much money for Peppers, Bennett, and maybe even Woodson (bear in mind at the time he had very few offers. I know I know, in hindsight it was an all time great move but talk to Packer fans in 2006 and ask them if they felt like he was overpaid). Honestly I feel like Kendricks is one of these deals that can be a solid bargain for us when Aaron is healthy. I'm ok if he's the starting TE or a very good rotating guy for next season. I think Ted gets desperate at times maybe just for him to send a message to fans, 'see, I do go after free agents'.

This is just another prime example of how Aaron Rodgers is so important to the entire franchise. If Rodgers doesn't get hurt, I bet my left ******** Bennett is still on the roster today. Free Agents already don't wanna come to GB unless they either don't have any other offers....or Teddy overpays which we know he's not. They come because of Aaron Rodgers, and Aaron Rodgers only. If Aaron Rodgers wasn't in a Packer uniform they'd be worse off than the Browns. It's already starting to show. If I were Rodgers I'd make these clowns in the front office pay me 60 mil a year.
