This would be amazing!
Tyni what do you think? You have to be excited.

I’m just going to say that #13 seems trivial, but I have a strong feeling there’s someone who slips from that consensus top 7-10 area right into our lap!

Honestly...from 15 to 13 has minimal change for me other than potentially moves us into Paris Johnson territory as the Jets were a very strong candidate for him...if Gute and team love Broderick Jones him possibly too.
I can understand the JSN logic if we pick him but like Dillon or Myers I think round too early....

My gut said slightly more chance of a trade back return being stronger...if we can slide back anywhere from 16-21 still VERY strong chance of Mayer or Kincaid or Washington if the team loves him as much too....pick up a third or second level additional pick....ammo loaded entering Day 2 to really make some moves and picks.

And I am fine with that unless a stud offensive lineman drops.
I would be to but you have to admit that using our top 3 picks to surround Love with more young weapons to grow with would be pretty exciting. All these top picks getting poured into the D gets boring.

That would be hilarious if we were picking in 2024 and the Jets were at #15 overall. Packers anytime after that.
Boy would that hurt NY!
If they otherwise have the team they think they have I wouldn’t expect that pick to be any better than #25. Rodgers ego virtually guarantee’s a great performance from him.

I'm not going to say we have to draft JSN at this spot, but I definitely don't see a round two receiver there. His short area quickness and ability to separate is something special. I think people went too far the other way with him because they were expecting an elite prospect. I still think he's the clear #1 and will be a special player along the lines of Olave and Wilson.

Jets having Kincaid at 15 would be ironically funny

Take him...I don't see the value for a TE that high unless it's a trade back and added equity...like say for some reason Buccs trade their 19th and some more to us for #13 and we then pick a TE there....I can get on board with it despite using a first on a TE....because we really turned 13 into say Mayer plus that additional pick not just Mayer.

Absolutely...I'd love to get Paris Johnson, John Michael Schmitz and Steve Avilla.....three year one starting offense weapons to deploy along our OL and give Love the best chance to succeed with time.

I'm joking...but I mean that would be nasty. LOL

Yeah I know. I’m just dreaming.

Even a #25 overall next season isn’t too bad. This season that’s a top TE etc.

I like other idea of getting Baks replacement here at 13 or a DE to pair with Gary when healthy.

Ha ha I say yes but only if we move up next year to take Marvin Harrison Jr.

True that. Exactly what I was thinking.

#13 is an area where there’s a smaller, but still significant chance (33%) someone gets overlooked that really should’ve been single digits.

There’s also a possibility that we are looking at good sized group of players at #13 that we have graded in that #15-20 overall range and aren’t overly excited there. My other thought there is doing as small of a tradeback as possible where we get a slight return on our risk investment for waiting. A really good example would be the Steelers at #17 and using their #80 overall to get there. Even if we throw them a 6th or 7th Rounder, that’s a trade I might make.
The Packers would be picking similar to this:
#17
#42, #45
#78, #80
#116
#149
#208
7th, 7th, 7th (7th traded)

Btw. I saw on one CBS Mock they had Lucas Van Ness going at #6 overall to the Lions.
Is that possible?
I was thinking he was more in the mid teens at best.

We'll know when the real experts make their picks. Everyone else is just pretty much an armchair amateur. No matter what they read on the internet.

I just get the feeling his mantra will remain the same...ignore young wrs, lackey out of camp, play head games, and choke in crunch time. lol I also realise that as a packer fan a 6 or 7 win season is right in front of us.

I called swapping first round picks as part of this deal. Now we trade that back and wind up with a later 1st and 3 second round picks this year. Awesome! And likely two first round picks next year? Mr Gute - You Sir, made a very good deal!!!!

Pellissaro reporting that Rodgers will sign a retro active restructure to save packers some cap. Classy move by the guy if true. He didn’t have to do that. I see it as a thank you gesture for drafting me and giving him an opportunity when many passed him up at the draft.

I feel moving up 2 spots in the 1st Rd brings OL in the 1st more into play. Jets and Patriots both were potential OL landing spots.
Agreed, Wyatt is probably the pick with a draft back into the late first for a TE or maybe Flowers.

The NFC East is loaded. I'm curious to see how the Jets compete. If it takes awhile for Rodgers to gel there, we might get a decent draft pick next year. Not great, but maybe decent. My guess is Rodgers will be out there wanting to make a statement, and a motivated Rodgers can rack up some wins.
