I think Rodgers is back to about as motivated as he has ever been and with that the NFL is gonna see a different type of Rodgers.

I bet he pushes his ego down more than he had for years here…I bet he takes ownership of failings more publically and I personally expect him to be in the top 5 of MVP vote getters if healthy.

That all said I fully expect they aren’t good enough to get out of AFC and he will crumble next year back to more of what we’ve grown accustom to of late.

First ballot HOFer still no matter what happens and when times were good here it was awesome.
Some guys kinda just have a monkey they can’t shake. I don’t have any great reasons why that is but for myself my failures have largely been God taking me through the wilderness to teach me more important life lessons, that I eventually use to help others. My guess is each of us has those same struggles, but it’s just do you want to take them on alone? I’ve tried that and it ain’t pretty. People that go it alone ultimately get humbled the same it just takes longer to break them. Like a Stubborn, Wild Horse. We are already seeing spoonfuls of humility surfacing with Rodgers recent restructure.
I think he could’ve handle GB in better fashion, but it’s the past now.

We all know the Jets are better with Rodgers. However we have to factor that he just stepped into a tougher Division which equates statistically to a lower seeding. On top of that imo it’s a tougher Conference. Rodgers finally gets to an NFC game and Brady knocks him out his very first year. Maybe I’m the only one that sees that but that’s like a curse or something! Now he steps into the AFC and I just think it’s a little harder Conference. Aaron just picked the 2nd toughest Division in the NFL imo. He finally shakes Brady and he takes on an elevated Division and eventually crosses paths with Mahommes. That guy is a true competitor in every aspect of the word. I think Pat could have 4-5 SB’s if he stays healthy.
Good luck!

Rodgers is 1-4 in conference championship games. Favre was 2-2 if you count Minnesota. 2010 must look easy compared to 2023.

Let's hope not, at least in year 1. I am looking forward to receiving the first pick in the 2024 draft from them. ;)

My buddy asked me to place a betting line of that pick's highest likelihood - should Rodgers miss say no more than two games (easily hitting that 65% of snap clause)

I settled on 11th pick of the 2024 draft. Their roster is just too good to be a clear bottom barrel of the league roster....I just don't see a world in which we live that Rodgers plays that much and the Jets have a top 10 pick in the draft. Who knows though that is truly an unknown....but you can bet if the Jets say are 1-6 or 1-7....they'll sit Rodgers in an effort to not lose that first round pick if out of playoff contention rather than fight for nothing essentially.

*Pure over under line for the pick I think you're in that 20.5 or so range

If my Math is correct, Rodgers needs to start in 11.5 contests for us to garner a Jets Day1 selection. Obviously injuries happen but statistically our odds are pretty good to get a Day1. Imo around 75%. The chances of the Jets in that 1 Win scenario are less than 10% imo.
My best guess (factoring in both injury or poor performance) on the over/under as far pick our draft inheritance is #27-28 overall and slightly better if Rodgers eclipses that Bogey snaps %
A #13 overall would be my ceiling and #43 overall would be my floor picks. On a betting line I’ll go closer to the Jets winning a 5-6th seed and beating the wildcard opponent. They’ll get knocked out in the AFC Divisional or AFC Championship game. Even that is exciting for a NU fan base that has had a serious Postseason drought

Oh I agree, I fully expect the Jets to be better than a .500 team, with a healthy Rodgers. I just like to put the vibes out there that they will only win a game or 2, with Rodgers playing more than 60% of the snaps.

On one site, I saw them listed as having the 7th most difficult schedule. They have 6 games against 3 pretty good teams (Bills, Dolphins, Patriots). Throw in games @dallas, Giants and Browns and home against the Chiefs, Eagles, Chargers, Commanders, and Falcons. That is 14 games against teams that had better or the same (Browns & Falcons) record than the Jets in 2022. Their other 3 games are @Denver, Las Vegas and home against the Texans.

Yes, they have #8, but how long will it take him to start clicking with the offense? I would say that their only favorable thing on the schedule is 3 out of the first 4 games are at home, but they also finish the season with 3 out of 4 on the road.

Did TO draw more attention than Sharpe? At least in the media?
I think TO was a worse head case than anyone to be honest. He had the audacity at one point to compare himself to a combat soldier serving in combat. He's a worthless POS, in my humble opinion. He should never have gotten all the press he did, while he trashed everyone around him.

I'd have to put Antonio Brown at the top of my list of "head cases".

TO got more press partly because of the teams for which he played. I recall when he was with the 9ers he caught a pass and dragged our defender ( Mike McKenzie) into the end zone. Then he went out the back of the end zone and grabbed the cheerleader's pom poms and started doing his own cheer routine.

pff has the 1s being 6 and 25

fanspeak has the 1s being 9 and 26

nfl draft lounge has the 1s being 8 and 24

the thing to note is pff and nfl draft lounge predict the Packers having the higher pick

Aaron couldn't win in Green Bay with half that roster and a playbook he KNEW...he ain't gonna win much with a new playbook.
I'd wager that Rodgers is going to be a fully motivated and better QB this season. He also won't be playing with a broken thumb. I know everyone think he crapped the bed in 2022, but it wasn't just him on that bed.
