There was a lot posted here and I did not read it all. My apologies for wandering in and posting this if it has already been posted. I heard on the local radio that Cousins stats take a significant hit when Theilen is out. Jefferson no doubt is a major weapon, but without Theilen they don't have anyone to distract the secondary with. That is the hope at least. They can shade more on Jefferson and go from there.
Having one excellent receiver is nice, but they draw a lot of double teams. If you have a second one, one of the two will not be double teamed, and therein rests a good chance of a QB looking pretty darned good. Cousins, without a second, is not that good a QB, because he doesn't have the touch of a Brady, or Rodgers.
On the other hand, Rodgers himself is a full step better when the double teams disappear.
