Thielen done for season
Never like to see a player go down, but this will make the Packers job of covering Jefferson a little easier.

Will be interesting to see what the Vikings due with Thielen, he becomes a $17M cap hit next season.

Jaire was activated off of ir..maybe he plays some? I am sure they will be trying to feed cook & Mattison all game..hoping the run sets up the pass and leaves Jefferson one on one. Hopefully Barry has a plan to shut that down! Kurt will give them chances at ints..gotta take advantage this time!

This move was a must or he was done for the season (three week window was up today). All indications and hints from folks discussing practices and actions around the campus say he is not ready to play most likely this week but will be at some point soon if not at least the playoffs.

Hopefully he can get just a little playing time before playoffs. With Thielen out, it's probably not as big of a rush. I do hope he plays, but, not until he is 100%

I can see the Packers waiting on all these IR guys until the Lions game. Indoors, bodies will be warm and the field won't be slick. Not worth pushing them back too fast. Let them play a few series and be ready for the first playoff game 2 weeks later.

I was the one saying this....however I've since been educated that while that is true for all other 31 teams in the NFL, the Packers are truly a worthless organization, with a terrible coach and an even worse leader in Gute. We've never actually won a game in about 20 years, only have had our opponents lose games we happened to be playing in. All we have to do is hope and pray that come the playoffs three or four opponents choose to lose the game we might be in.....then we are champs baby!
I am going to politely disagree. My memory is that Voyageur has said any given Sunday more than you have. That is if I remember correctly. Which sometimes I don't. Of course this is all just my opinion.

Oh I'm sure I am not the only one, but anyone can have it - it is a saying I no longer believe in anyways LOL

Careful what we say....it could be "on any given ....Day". The NFL has played games on every day of the week and with Covid....you just never know when the Packers might end up playing.

I'm quite sure the league's point differential currently sits at zero, just like every other season :D
I suppose next you are going to tell me that my impression that there are a lot more wins than losses this year than in years past is an illusion as well.

Packers hosted a couple of return guys yesterday....

Amari is on Covid list & M Taylor out with injury I believe...GB has no returners left. :(. Depth chart shows Sullivan for both PR & KR. Hope we see a lot of fair catches.

Two things to beat the Vikings. First, win the turn over battle. The three games we lost this year are the only three that we didn't get a turn over against the opposition.

Secondly, play pass defense, and let the competition implode, when they make errors, or have penalties that force them into passing. You're always prepared for it. The objective, with any defense, is to stop teams from scoring, not to stop them from running up yardage that nets no points. The Vikings run the ball just under 43% of the time, so even though they are a decent running team, they pass more than run. You don't need to stop every run, just enough to force them into passing the ball.

Add in the covid factor and pretty much anything can happen. Seems like it's the Packers turn this week.

MVS off the covid list today

Packers current depth chart is fun to look at, don't strain your eyes or brain.

Thanks for your input! Your OPINION means NOTHING to me!! We are all fans of The Green Bay Packers. I am just here to have a civilized conversation. I don't need you, Tyler SSchind or Guacamole ripping everything I say! If you don't agree with my opinion..move on!! I don't attack any of you for your OPINIONS!

It's a fact the Packers haven't faced any other top 10 scoring offense aside of the Rams over the past five games.

You're right, Taylor was put on injured reserve on December 24th and won't be able to return before the playoffs.

For the record, the Packers didn't force a turnover in their win against the Ravens either.

True. I hadn't looked at those game stats. Nevertheless, all our losses came in games where we did not get turnovers.

The run defense which is already struggling....add in losing Keke and Lancaster injury.....I don't care who is in the backfield for MN, they should be licking their chops.

Maybe they can pick up some Snacks. I hope Gutey can find at least 1 veteran with a little experience. Hopefully Lafleur keeps pounding Dillion and Jones. Chicago had some success running the ball on them.

You won't have a conversation just because someone does not agree with your opinion? So immature........
