Tier 1 -
Henderson (1st)
Diggs (1st)
Fulton (2nd)

Tier 2
Terrell (2nd)
Igbinoghene (2nd)
Gladney (3rd)

Tier 3
Johnson (3rd)
Hall (4th)

We grade and mock different....sue me. *shrugs*.

This makes no sense.

Okudah is obviously a tier unto himself. So Henderson, Diggs, and Fulton are your tier 2? And you have two of them as 1st rounders and one of them as a 2nd rounder. But a minute ago you said that the tier 2 guys are late 3rd, early 4th round talents?

I don't have an issue admitting when I'm wrong....I honestly forgot about Terrell and Igbinoghene. But to me they're a cut above Gladney and everyone else behind him, so I had to split the difference. I'd also give Pride Jr a 4th too.....Anyone else I have a 4th or 5th Round grade on and I REALLY don't want any of them.

But I can't justify Gute chasing after any of these guys in the Draft when we have greater needs elsewhere. I'd rather we keep Tramon or find someone else in FA for what I think either @Mondio or @tynimiller dubbed awhile ago a "sneaky need".

Are you telling me that you've studied all the corners in this class and given them all grades by round?

Switching gears... Denver is signing Melvin Gordon by the sounds of things. I'd send them a 3rd rounder for Royce Freeman. We get a solid RB for a few years who'd probably out perform Jamaal.

3rd/4th onward if Pride Jr. from Notre Dame is there he would be an excellent choice! I have him graded at a 3rd round. Pride Jr. excelled in coverage and almost always found himself opposite pretty solid WRs. At just 5'11" and 193lbs his frame is good but the length is just a touch below what many would hope. His best placement is man coverage as his hips and quick feet excel in this...his negative is I suspect zone coverage could be an issue being a reactive type player, his anticipation skillset could use some growth. Raw skills though he is very gifted and I think he will find a role and the field in year one for whomever drafts him. Willing tackler which I love.

A.J. Green is a guy I'm high on for a sleeper in this CB class. Many don't feel he will go before the 5th...and I have mocked him coming to us at #192 a few times. He is 6'1" 199lbs (I think is a lie high)...slender guy that plays the ball quite well. Experienced reps at both man and zone covers...hips are above average and while not blazing speed, is quick. His glaring negative is strength and sincere lack of tackling skills. He is an ankle diver style. Good news is I think his frame can easily handle another 5-10 lbs with diminishing his style and if he can get a little bit of an edge or willingness to tackle he can for sure be something.

Another one I put in the mid-tiers CB wise that I like is Michael Ojemudia from Iowa. 6 footer and 199lbs I love his frame and what he has shown. If zone coverage is more the role we desire he excels here where Green (mentioned above) is much more of a man coverage type guy. I have Ojemudia labeled a 4th/5th rounder personally. I say that about zone but the fact is he just never was put in a situation to exhibit whether he is good in press coverage...he is an excellent run supporter from the DB spot. Negative I show in my notes is power and strength somewhat similar to Green, but has a willingness when the time arrives.

A 3rd is way too high for me. He was a 3rd rounder in the first place. I can't see paying original value with two years of his rookie year gone, plus only middling results as a pro thus far.

I'll be done after this...but another mid rounder gem possibly (no guarantees with these of course) that I circled is Tulsa's Reggie Robinson II. His frame will jump out to anyone at 6'1' and 202lbs he is not going to lose many battles to a receiver merely based on body fighting. He loves contact too...and his willingness to get close and press is something NFL coaches LOVE to see. Known as a student of the game and professional many argue Robinson is as much a success based on his work ethic as he is his raw skills...which says a TON. His stock is somewhere in that mid 3rd to front end of the 5th. If you hear his name called on draft day from the 3rd on, don't be mad. From the 4th onward I'd be smiling...if he is picked in the 5th I'd be screaming steal IMO.

Good point. I'd send a 5th. He was a preseason wonder last year and with more volume could be a great addition in case Jones goes down with injury.

I'd suspect Gute put need at ILB and RT higher and just couldn't afford Ebron. I agree and I am not even an Ebron fan. That is a fair deal.

We definitely could have afforded Ebron at that price.

He doesn't fit the offense. He never made sense for the Packers.

Welp it looks like New Orleans signed Sanders to a 2 year 16 mil contract. They are really pulling all the stops to in order to get Brees that second ring. Imo this will be his last chance. The NFC South is going to be fun this year. Assuming we have a season.

A good receiving TE fits in pretty much any offense that has one other very good receiver. Packers need receivers on offense.

A 3rd for Royce Freeman? I’d put The two in the same category. No thanks. I wouldn’t even do a 3rd for Lindsay and he’s the better back.

I am glad for Melvin Gordon. Don't know anything about him personally but I'm happy to see he got $8M per year. And it is probably good for the game that players are seeing that they should think a bit b4 turning down good offers. Maybe some will learn to think for themselves. Melvin probably had bad advice on the Charger offer.

Apparently the Packers were in on Sanders. I wonder what our offer was. Obviously they have a plan of who they will cut or restructure if they find guys they like.

I saw that. While I would love to have Sanders, I’m in agreement with Gutey that we don’t need to give up those draft resources. A 4th and a 3rd in a WR heavy draft is a steep price IMO. If it was a couple late rounders totally different story. I’d rather use our 4th as leverage to skate the Vikings and get our WR round 1 or 2 (or just stand pat)
