It would be great to have a site that didn't need monitors, the guys here who are nice enough to volunteer their time to do it, do so as a sacrifice of their time and somewhat of their ability to just really express themselves more freely than the rest of us can. So on behave of my tongue tied monitor friends.......****.....people like you are why monitors are needed.

I am not sure, but while I have used the like button I don't think I have ever used the disagree button ( I am sure someone will try to prove that wrong). Not that I don't disagree, but if I do I post why I disagree. Really most of what we put here is opinion, and people have a right to their opinion. As an example, Jim Harbaugh, some love the guy some hate the guy. But why? Tell us, justify, explain. Just to disagree seems a bit, well, cowardly to me. Speak up, give your opinion, that is exactly what makes this forum interesting and fun. But again, be kind, it is just an opinion.

Well, that’s what I was told. It’s in the rules for the site and makes sense. I just wasn’t aware so appreciated when it was pointed out. That said, I’ve never had a problem with any moderator on here. They do a pretty good job of keeping us kids in line.

“Be kind” is the operative phrase. For a few, it’s not enough to disagree, even with an opposing opinion (which is fine). There are a few who try to make it personal. As you say, it’s an opinion site. Opinions will differ. Geez, that’s the whole idea. So yes, “Be kind” is the best advice.

I guess if someone started a thread with which everyone agreed, it wouldn't be very interesting. So the lesson is, expect controversy. Expect others to disagree or this web site would die. Can you imagine how long a thread would last that began with; "I'm interested in the Green Bay Packers."?

The beer is cold, the pool is warm, and unless it's on national TV, don't expect the Packer game to be televised.
Nothing on TV down here expect Jacksonville Jaguars, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Miami Dolphins or Atlanta Falcons.
Then again, maybe it's a good thing this season.
